I wanted to learn makeup Artistry from a school which is globally recognized.I did all my research and came to the conclussion to join AOFM.One reason was that AOFM claims to be from London and in reality also they have their school in London and other countries.Other reason for me to join this school is the aftercare they provide.I have spoken to old students and they tell us that they are very much satisfied with the aftercare.I have done the whole 6 weeks course from AOFM Dubai.I must say that it is quite an intense course and you get to learn so many types of makeup.They are very particular about the homeworks and assignments and you can not really copy else you will have to do it again.Jana and Sarah are the people who are always there to help you and they are very transparent about everything.They treat everyone equally and respect every religion.We had students from different countries and all of us were respected and we all had an amazing time.They are also very particular about the hygiene and especially during covid,it is always best to learn from a place which teaches you to inculcate these measures during your learning stage itself so that you make it a routine to follow them no matter what.Teachers are all great,you get to learn from teachers from different nationalities which is always a great opportunity as you learn different styles of application.The teacher i loved the most is Emily.She is very positive and her approach towards you is always healthy.All in all,AOFM is an amazing institute to learn makeup from.

I have always been passionate about makeup as a hobby and wanted to pursue makeup as a profession. There is nothing better than combining passion and fun at work. Makes work all the more interesting!When I started down this path, I wanted to get certified by understanding the nuances involved in various forms of makeup. During my research, I pretty much reviewed the gamut of academies before I honed in on AOFM. On my first visit with Jana, he took the time to explain the different facets of the course and patiently answered all my queries with a charming smile albeit with a mask. During the course from beginning till end, Sarah would always be around to help and guide us. The course is all encompassing and at times it does feel like a lot to manage, however, once you are done, you feel empowered to start working. The course is designed to evolve and fine tune your skills and adds various tools to your repertoire. Assignments and tests make it seem intense with face charts, mood boards and period makeup but when I did my first runway makeup, all of these made sense.Emily is an excellent mentor and an instructor who put us through our paces. She was able to identify and advise on how to improve our skills and strokes. I had been enquiring AOFM for about 2 years at this point and finally had a chance to go. I started my Complete Artistic Pro course from AOFM in November of 2020. It is by far the best decision of my life. Jana and Sarah are a breath of fresh air and have been nothing but supportive. From barely knowing how to apply an eyeliner to actually being able to create a full look, from barely styling my hair to creating victory rolls, I have only seen myself grow here.The teachers are so varied and diverse, each bringing their own oomph factor to the table. Jana, the director of the academy himself has immense experience in the field and always helps us out with tricks, tips and hacks. I came here thinking of working in Editorial and Beauty but fell in love with creative and SFX instead. There is so much knowledge and technique that I am leaving with. My personal favorite teachers have to be Emily, Alicia, Betty, Katy, Valentino and Shona they have been ever so helpful despite my lack of experience or knowledge in the field.We are given in-depth knowledge and are free to experiment with an ocean of products. We are also to comply with basic safety measures that are very crucial at the moment. We are given guidance on how to take our career forward and help in forming our kits not to mention Pro Discounts once we graduate. We are engaged with weekly assignments along with daily practical sessions. I have never done Make-up or Hair on anyone not even on myself hence at the time felt overwhelming but all that research has just led to a bunch of inspiration. I was very warmly welcomed by Sarah the nicest assistant ever, and Jana the head of education. I spent almost 1and a half hour just talking to him, he was very hospitable and attentive to all of my questions. I couldnt believe how professional and he was!Few minutes after I chatted with him, I knew I was in the right place, and my dream of becoming a professional HMUA will start from that place. And I wasnt wrong about it.I wont talk too much about the makeup we used, nor the discounts we had the chance to enjoy for the rest our lives, not even about the free master classes...because everything mentioned on their website is 1000% true. What you see is what you get!!I want to talk about the course syllabus and the academic staff instead.The course is extremely rich and varied, we had it all, starting from health and safety in the work place, to the anatomy and physiology, hair styling, makeup application techniques, airbrush makeup, sfx , tv and movie makeup, how to create a character and last but not least how to do a proper research paper and write it in your own words (not a copy paste) 😉 (u will get me when u reach that level of the course future students). I have attended the 2 weeks foundation to advanced level makeup artistry course at AOFM Dubai and I definitely do not regret my decision. It was pretty intensive as we covered all the fundamentals and techniques of makeup artistry while improving to an advanced level by practicing almost daily for 8 hours. The first part of the day consisted of watching and learning theory by some of the best makeup artists in the industry, and the second part consisted of us applying what we have learnt during that day.However i believe the best part of choosing this academy is the aftercare program, unlimited masterclasses to learn from with the world’s biggest brands for free, and also offer pro discounts on over 300 makeup brands.Nevertheless, they don’t just forget about you once you are done with the course. I just recently finished my professional hair and makeup course from AOFM and I would have to say I learned alot of skills which will help me in pursuing a career as a professional makeup artist. It was a very hectic and intensive training but it was fun as well. We had different trainers each time(all of them are freelance makeup artists in Dubai) teaching us their different techniques and styles. We got to use all the top brands of makeup such as Charlotte Tilbury, Huda Beauty, NARS and MAC. That way, we got to try it out ourselves so we know which products we like best to include in our makeup kits. Another favorite of mine is the photoshoot where we got to actually experience how it is in a real shoot working with professional photographers and models. And one more great thing about them is the continuous aftercare they provide for their graduates by holding masterclasses for free.I really highly recommend this makeup school. It is such a worthy investment and will definitely build your skills and confidence in pursuing a career in this very competitive world of makeup industry. I was not disappointed as the course taught me a significant amount of techniques which I was not familiar with and gave me the platform to practice and develop my skills.I completed the “Complete Artistic Pro Specialist course in Hairstyling and makeup artistry” with AOFM-Academy and I was delighted to have completed the course. Whilst learning within the academy, you are not just learning about applying make-up, but you are taught the basics and a lot of emphasis is given to health and safety in the work place and to the anatomy and physiology of the body. Moreover, we were also taught the history of make-up, hair styling, makeup application techniques, party/bridal make up, fantasy/creative makeup, airbrush makeup, sfx and so much more. It was very interesting for me as I had never studied the history and background of makeup and I found this fascinating. It was life changing experience for me.I Joined the academy in JAN 2021 , 6 weeks started from no makeup makeup to special effects is just beyond comprehension. I wanted to write this review for some time now but was hesitating because students are made to feel like you have to recommend this school so much in order to get access to the work opportunities they promise you before booking, basically you need to become a teachers pet.This school is desperately trying to buy good reviews from the people that attend its courses and I have doubts that the good reviews here are even real because they all look very similar in layout. However with time you realize that there are favored students for such opportunities and by the time your turn comes it could be years if you are not forgotten.Half way through my course here I also started to realize that what has been written about this school in reviews here (which were very convincing even to me before I booked) is far from the reality. 1)the mirror stations are such poor quality and of a small size you can hardly call this a professional make-up class set up when so much practice is involved. You can find this kind of mirrors in dragon mart! 2)The school makes it look like they have so much brands on social media, but actually most of the time you are working on what the teacher has shown you from her personal kit which is different from what the school offers, and if by accident you break anything she gets very upset about it. Not much freedom to experiment with products. 3)Now talking about the teachers, they claim they have many international artists every day. We basically had 1 same teacher everyday ,we were invited to 1 MAC online masterclass which most students couldnt access due to technical errors as they claimed by the school, then the lady from SKM cosmetics came and lets just say her work is far from sophisticated or international.more like poor... In addition sometimes there could me men in the class, I understand they also want to learn but we are in Dubai and many women here have religious reasons to feel uncomfortable in that setting, classes should have been separate for men and women. Lastly they offer the qualification type to be optional for students, which means that some students aim for the international ones and others just the schools own attendance certificate. I feel this created a lot of chaos because some students were behaving with little to no effort or attention while others were working very hard.Basically I was sold something different in their presentation from what actually is happening. I should have visited other schools with more history and reputation before I booked but I have spent so much money here so its not something I can think of doing elsewhere until I save again.

I want to thank the entire academy team for their professionalism. I flew to study in Dubai from Cairo. I thought that the training would be very easy , but it turned out to be more than serious. the director of the academy Jana , supervised absolutely everything: every work, every homework , look , communication . so if you want to become students of this academy, be prepared that you have to study and work 24/7. but be sure that after the course you will graduate as real professionals. it was the best experience of my life! that pays off every day now !!! It was almost a year that I was planning to do a makeup course, I went to look to another makeup school in Dubai, but I did not like it, then I saw an advertisement on Instagram that AOFM opens their school in Dubai. I have gained a vast knowledge of so many brands available at the academy and beyond. Al Salamu alaykum,First of all, this makeup school does not follow principle and the culture of UAE or any other Arab countries.Unfortunately, my wife has visited this school and I revisited again with her and you can notice that from the way of reception who will welcome you.We saw the classroom, the women students mix with men at same make-up classroom, they may practice make-up on men models and not only that, but most make-up teachers in this school were also men ... doing make-up demos on students faces and teaching them hair as well.I cannot accept for any woman in my family to join this school, taking off their Hijab mixing with men teachers and learning make-up looks even that most the make-up looks are not belong to our culture.Even the CEO of this makeup school is man, Yes, he said to my wife , he was very lovely to meet my wife .... and he is makeup artist also and you can see his pictures online hugging their students firmly.I think before you come to this region you should know the principle and the culture of these countries. it is very easy, just visit any beauty salon and they will be teaching you that the men are not welcome to enter even the reception area.Definitely he will reply underneath that they have no record of our visit, But my wife felt uncomfortable she contacted few others students from previous courses to know about their experience and found out that many had a bad one but also when they put a review about it he removed the reviews from his online pages so clients are not even getting a real idea about this school before they join.Anyway people will still speak about that.

I did a lot of research before joining AOFM, Dubai. Compared a variety of courses at other academies in Dubai and around. Including course design, post course relationships, faculty, certifications and facility.This was the first course that AOFM was conducting in Dubai and I was really excited about it.I think I made the best choice by selecting Aofm to do the Pro course with.From what I have experienced till now, the course was designed well with experienced, established and helpful faculty. The faculty not just taught us the skill/art but also gave valuable tips on how to make it as a freelance artist.Personally all classes were amazing, but I absolutely loved the sfx make-up class conducted by Michelle Webb, she is wonderful.Jana was always helpful, overlooking the entire course and taking regular feedback from us to know how things were at his new setup.I am eagerly waiting for the masterclass now so I could work back stage with the pro make up artist team at one of the fashion weeks.It truly is an amazing setup and I loved everything.

I joined full artistry course for 6 weeks on Sept’20 with AOFM Dubai. I wanted best of everything so was super confused which academy to join. Jana , Emily still guides me whenever i have any doubts or need a suggestion and i feel thats what matter the most. I am writing this with the heavy heart because my journey in AOFM came to an end, nevertheless I will be in touch with it’s training due to the program they have designed. AOFM seems to be the only makeup school which provides amazing after care for there students. The teacher are super talented and since they don’t have one makeup trainer for the entire training, it gives you more opportunities to learn different style of techniques from each one of them. The discount list is super long and the appreciation can’t be expressed in words. If you are willing to go extra mile than this is the place for you. Lastly, they are soon opening in India, Mumbai. I have finished the Foundation to Advanced module in AOFM in October and i can honestly say it was an amazing experience. The course was 2 weeks of intense practice on different nationalities with high-end products like Charlotte Tilbury, Huda Beauty, Nars. We had multiple trainers Denny, Emily, Shona were great and they taught us lots of amazing techniques. Lots of homework and research. The best part of attending AOFM is the incredible aftercare program...Jana the Director of Education was very helpful in this matter, after I finished the course i went back for a few days when they started with a new batch for more practice and guidance. Ever since I decided to become a makeup artist, I have started taking different training courses with different professors and different styles. During that time, I went through many training courses, but I was always looking for the best. I wanted to learn make-up from the grassroots level and internationally. So I decided to do some research and find the best academies in the world and get acquainted with the aofm academy. When I researched about aofm, I found out that it is the best make-up academy in Europe and it is top 3 in the world, and of course there was another good news, that aofm academy does not have a branch only in Europe and a branch of an academy is in the UAE in Dubai. I’m from iran and there was some closer to me and I could go there more easily. I was able to attend a training course in November 2019 in Dubai. Aofm Academy was a collection of a strong team, internationally renowned masters with creative minds, the possibility of using excellent cosmetics from all the worlds top brands,And the very professional ethics that all the members of this team had. In this course, I was able to learn all the makeup-related items from the ground up and professionally. Every day after the training that I saw from the teacher, we practiced the same training on each others faces and we were not allowed to finish the training until we did it completely without any problems. It was a big step towards building our self-confidence and eradicating our fears. At the academy, we were allowed to be creative and show our style to everyone. In this course, we got acquainted with all make-up styles, we got different trainings related to each type of make-up in different lights (for example, camera flash, hall light, daylight, etc.). After passing the course, as students of the academy, we enjoyed very good discounts on the purchase of cosmetics from all the top brands in the world. Also, after completing the in-person course, we have the online support of the academy, and we participate in all the training classes that are held online for free, and we are updated. Having had such a positive experience during my training at AOFM I wrote a review 3 years ago to aid students considering a make up course and to highly recommend AOFM. I am now 4 years on from attending the total pro creative specialist course, and felt compelled to follow up with this review. I feel it’s important to not only review the course itself but also the amazing opportunities and jobs that have come my way since graduating from AOFM in 2015. This exceeds all expectations, the proof is definitely in the pudding and AOFM have offered me life changing jobs and experiences. As long as you are hardworking, reliable and punctual these opportunities are available for every AOFM graduate. Once I had attended and passed the backstage masterclass, I then went on and still continue to work backstage at London, Paris, Milan, New York, Florence, Tokyo fashion weeks, I do this at least 2-3 times each year. I have also worked at celebrity events, and fashion shows at beautiful hotels and venues, and with incredible designers. A recent show was actually featured in Vogue! I have also been given the chance to key 4 shows of my own 2 in London and 2 in Florence. To attend and achieve these types of opportunities most make up artists have to wait years. One of the best courses Ive ever done.I graduated at Aofm in 2018 in London. During my total pro creative specialist course Ive been able to learn how to create amazing looks from 20s to the most creative and modern looks, including bridal, editorial and airbrush techniques with some of the best experienced makeup artists. I had the chance to practice my makeup skills every day and to be accurately supervised by my tutors, since the day was divided into theoretical and practical application on a total of 8 hours per day.After a masterclass has been passed, they would certainly provide great and exclusive opportunities to work on fashion weeks in London, Paris, Milan and New York, with their very best pro make-up artists team. So far Ive been working in London fashion week and every time Im there its always the best day of my life! Really good aftercare with regular refreshments of make-up and masterclasses from the best brands, along with really fair discounts, useful for the make-up kit.At the end of the course the school would also help the students to start building their own portfolio, with the help of super skilled photographers and hairdressers. Last two weeks included nails, hair and airbrush techniques which I really loved learning. I dont regret any day spent in that school and if it wasnt for them I would have never, ever being able to achieve my dream of working in fashion week and have so many satisfactions in my job. I recently completed “The complete Artistic Pro Specialist Course in hair styling and makeup artistry”. I am really happy with the way the classes were taken, the mentors are very knowledgeable and supportive , my favourite mentors are “Emily Clayton” and Jana Ririnui. I took The complete artistic pro specialist course in hair Styling and makeup in dubai in jan 2020. The course was Challenging but I learned a lot of things, had fun and made new friends during that period. We were taught By different makeup artist working in the industry and learned different things from each one. Also, the school provided a high quality tools and makeup during the course. Personally i loved creative and special effects classes therefore my favorite instructors were Emily and Jojo; i also enjoyed hair week and loved Betty. After finishing the course the pandemic happened however the school kept in touch and provided a lot of Online master classes, i attended most of them and i liked them all. The school and the classes helped in teaching the way to pursue makeup as a career correctly. Jana also made sure that students understood the makeup industry and how to pursue it correctly to be successful in this career.I really enjoyed my time there,, two months were not enough 😊

I joined aofm (dubai) in september, 2019. I was one of the students from the first batch. I wanted to learn makeup professionally and then i came across aofm. I took their complete artistic course in makeup and hair styling. I LOVED IT. It was so much fun doing classes. I made so many friends from around the world. Jana, our mentor he took care of us in every way possible. I was not so much into hair but betty made it so much fun that now i love doing hair. I love her humors. Every artist had their own secrets and own techniques. I love how they shared their experiences with us and guided us on how to start up in this industry.I mostly enjoyed our hair classes with betty, avant grade makeup with valentino, airbrush makeup with Dani, smokey eyes with kate cousins, and i absolutely loved how sharon guided us on magazine makeup. We had new artists everyday. And it was amazing to learn makeups from them. I gained a lot of product knowlegde as well. I got to play around with such great makeup brands. Not many makeup schools has that many (highend) makeup products for you to learn with. I had the most amazing experience here in AOFM. I am now using all of the skills i learned.

I was supposed to go to another makeup school, but I’m so glad things didn’t work out and i went to AOFM!The professionalism of the school, teachers and products exceeded my expectations, even though it was the first course in Dubai. We had a new makeup artist everyday that had flown in from various parts of the world, and we got to learn their techniques and experiences from the industry. In all the research i did, I didn’t find any school that provided the same level of professionalism and care for their students. I only wish i could go back and stay in that school forever, it really feels like home.

I had such an amazing experience at AOFM London! The instructors we all so talented, and I loved the fact that all of them are still currently in the fashion industry. I researched schools all over the world and nothing compared to AOFM. The possible opportunities that come after are so incredible. Just two weeks after I graduated they offered me a paid job in print working in LA. It was such an amazing experience and exposure for me. It felt right from the start! AOFM was the first institution to get in touch with me, rather than waiting for an automated response.It was a national holiday in Dubai and Jana (director of AOFM) made an exception to meetup with me. When i thought of becoming a Makeup Artist ( in July 2017 )i thought i should definitely learn from the Best, i looked up the schools in London and AOFM was there, one of the highest ranking Academies in London. I did a lot of research on which makeup academy to attend and I couldn’t be more happy with my choice in AOFM.I attended AOFM in Sept of 2017 and since then I have worked numerous shows backstage at New York Fashion Week for 3 seasons. I graduated AOFM in 2012 and I should say, it was an AMAZING experience! Everyday you are learning from different makeup artists. Which is great, because each one has their own style and technique. Advancing your knowledge even more. Also, AOFM are providing a huge range of different high end makeup brands for you to try. By the end of your training you will know what you would love and need to have in your professional makeup kit.But most precious is the aftercare for students!After my graduation I had an opportunity to work backstage with AOFM at London, Milan, Moscow Fashion Week. We were welcomed with a set of the AOFMs very own brush collection and used in class the most luxurious brands such as MAC, Dior, Chanel and so much more. We recreated looks designed by all the talented freelance artists who act as our teachers for a day. Every tutor was actively working with the most glamours names in the industry and all has been proved by theirs wow portfolios. Every day was different and so exciting. We learned the basics, all the way to creative and fun looks using glitters, gems and body painting techniques.At the end of my course I was rewarded with a Make-Up Combine Certificate and this is when AOFM opened the doors for me and my career offering a wide range of work opportunities. I have been placed to assist to many of the AOFM artist and been part of behind the scenes of many high fashion magazines and shows. One of my very first experiences AOFM gave me, was working on a location photo shoot for Vogue fashion editorial story! The Academy also took me to work backstage at New York, Paris, Milan and London Fashion Weeks. How amazing!My passion for traveling brought me and my beauty skills to Ibiza where I was successfully working as freelance artist. I became a part of the biggest dance clubs in the world producing creative make-up, working with local djs, fashion magazines, international film crews and production companies. The highlight here is David Guetta, Timbarland and Pitbull music video :)With my hard work and loyalty, the AOFM team and artists rewarded me with allowing me to head my own On Schedule Milan and London Fashion Week Shows. I studied at Aofm less than an year ago. I had no knowledge about makeup (I was a total beginner) and I found that the full course gave me not only the skills to break in this industry, but also the confidence that I need to build to be able to do it. At the end of the course I had to do a masterclass which is a test which can possibly allow you to work for the official fashion week, and heres the news.. Not only the London one! Aofm will provide you the Milan, Paris and also NY ones! Isnt it crazy? I had to learn and afterwards work with simply the best in the industry. I can name some of them, Michelle Webb, Yin Lee, Valentina Creti.. With Aofm I had also the chance to collaborate with couple of magazines that published my work! I am beyond grateful to the academy and to the amazing staff working in it.Dont consider anything else if you simply wanna work with the best and for the best. Good luck!

After completing Professional Hair and Make up course, one of the Aofm courses, and taking part in various masterclasses such as Bobbi Brown, MAC, Dermalogica and Smashbox, just to name a few, all offered by AOFM, because with them you are updated in on everything that is new in beauty and makeup. I will gladly recommend the Academy for anyone interested in building up a career in make-up industry. I would like to say that AOFM taught me the secrets of the art of makeup and introduced me to the makeup world. This way I have learned that makeup is not just about brushes and brands and products, but most of all technique and artistry and team effort all together! I felt inspired by the wonderful team of teachers, all of them world-renowned make-up professionals, the stimulating environment, and above all, the unique approach of creating opportunities for their graduates after the course. I have worked with them at Milan Mens Collection and Milan Women fashion week, London fashion week, New York fashion week, Paris fashion week, Tokyo fashion week, Bath in Fashion, Fashion Finest and for a lot of makeup events. For me, AOFM give me the best experience that a graduate of a makeup school could have it: working in backstage, learning how to work under pressure, doing a lot of creative makeup looks and , of course, making friends for a lifetime. I must say if anyone is going to put the effort to going to a make up school, aofm is the place to be . I’ve learned so much from aofm. I am beyond grateful to have found it. Before aofm I have never picked up a make up brush !! Three years later I’ve took on so much opportunity that I could’ve even imagened . This Academy doesn’t just teach you “make up” they teach you everything behind it such as lighting , editorial, formulation and even the history of it all .. also all the educators arent just teachers they are actuall artists in the industry. Which I find to be extremely helpful because every single educator has their own way of doing things in there techniques so you’re learning more then one way to doing something. Its been 9 years since I trained at AOFM and Im proud to say Im still working as a freelance make up artist full time ! I work mainly in fashion and with celebs and been lucky enough to travel the world , the skills and after care from aofm are incredible,you are taught by the best and given opportunities to take you to the next step in your career, from working backstage at shows and assisting its all vital to pursuing a career as a make up artist , you can learn make up but to learn the skills on how to actually make it a career move is so important . AOFM changed my life. I moved to London and attended school. The 6 weeks AOFM was one of the best times of my life. I met awesome talented people from all over the world. The teachers are experienced make-up artists and well known in the industry. I completed in October of last year and thanks to AOFM I visited Fashion Week in Florence, Milan, Paris and London. The study helped me to establish myself in the industry. I work for a well-known brand in retail and in my free time I do shootings. Thank you AOfM
