Never thought I would ever try a Kenyan restaurant and I definitely do not regret it!Limited menu, but all the dishes we tried were delicious. Their authentic spice mix is rather spicy with a hint of acidity, and it makes everything better!Will be back soon to try more items.

Fantastic Kenyan BBQ spot on Al Barsha with good prices and water is complimentary !! We had the chicken wings, prawns , mutton kebab, butter naan and masala fries. All delicious !! They even made us a side salad on request!

Ive been eating at this restaurant for the last 25 years in Nairobi, Kenya so was thrilled to know that it opened a branch in Dubai not so long ago! The chicken with the pili pili sauce is a must try and so are the fries with the pili pili sauce! The sauce is thd magic ingredient in the food and I cannot tell you enough how delicious it is!! And after all that spicy food there is the most amazing kulfi!! Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! ❤

The restaurant was very clean and tidy which is not normal for an Indian restaurant.We got in at the right time when it was a little quiet and we got good service.Placed the order, and came in due time.We got started and upon first bite tasted some really good chicken.It was served a variety of sauces so we could experience a more tasty meal.Would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a shot.

I was introduced to this place by a friend and he mentioned they are legendary in Kenya. If you are a fan of east african grills, then this place is perfect for you. Located in a bustling street in Barsha, I was quite surprised to see a totally packed restaurant.The ambiance is apt for families and groups of friends. We started off with refreshing n chilled passionfruit juice and then ordered the following- Boneless Chicken Tikka, Mutton Seekh Kebab, Lamb Chops, Fish Tikka, Chicken Chooza, Chicken Poussin, Naan, Masala Chipsand Pili Pili Chips. I’m very fussy when it comes to meat and grills, it must be fresh and juicy, or else it’s just not worth it. Well, no wonder this place is so popular, their lamb chops and specialty chicken Chooza dishes were just scrumptious in flavour and texture, well marinated in their secret sauces and grilled to smokey perfection. I just couldn’t help reaching out for a 2nd round, even their Poussin chicken had a masala twist to fried chicken. Their Naan is totally different in texture, so soft and paired well with the mains. Another hit for me were their flavoured chips and their super creamy kulfi. The way they serve their meat platters with lots of salad veggies makes it’s paleo and keto friendly too.There is ample RTA parking on either sides of the street. They dont accept any reservations; its walk in on first come first serve basis. I truly appreciate the fact that they dont charge for drinking water here, thats the most amazing gesture ever (so rare in Dubai) and the staff were super friendly too.

Lovely food, hot in the plate, freshly made, took sometime to come on the table as it serves mainly grilled meats. I wish it had more comfortable seats and seating arrangements with decor, but the food was lovely. Had a nice time with family. Will go again.

The menu with prices are shown here, yes it isnt dirt cheap but I fully support the quality of the meat/seafood reflects accurately in the price.

Hashmi is very soon going to be listed a place to visit when visiting Dubai. Their menu is unlike many other restaurants, limited in nature, because their focus is on quality. Trust me when I say this, every dining experience is a new experience at Hashmi. Their food is finger-licking good. You might just chew off tkur fingers in the process. Their sauces are unmatched in Dubai. Would certainly recommend everyone to visit this gem of a restaurant run by a gem of a family. Do not worry about space, there is plenty of it.

Since this restaurant is always full we went for early dinner and ordered their most famous and expensive dish on the men lamb chops, sure was disapointed as the meat some portions were not cooked right and also they were chewy, the masala fries were good, over hyped and over priced restaurant. The service was good and so also the ambience.

Was highly recommended and was not disappointed at all. Excellent BBQ....each and every dish we ordered...Chicken and sheekh Kababs. Naans were as soft as cotton and the chutneys add value and spice to the flavours. Hospitality par excellence and so was ambience. Ample parking behind the restaurant I was advised although I was lucky to get it at the entrance.

Friends recommended this restaurant and we gave it a try. The chicken was different from the usual BBQ chicken found in other restaurants. They had 3 types of fries and we loved the Pappilio fries. Children preffered the Chorozo chicken and we preffered the Papillio. Buttered prawns was ok. We went without reservation and there was waiting but we got a table in 15 minsFrom the doorman to everyone inside was extremely friendly. The place was neat and clean.

Would be great if they have a few more vegetarian options and at least one vegan option like soya chap kebab and marinated Grilled veges would be great too.Samosas are a little disappointing. Small. Over fried and stuffing wasnt the best. Not your typical punjabi samosa.The kulfi soft serve was unique first time seeing that.Over all a pleasant experience.

Way too overcrowded. The chips masala was quite dry even though the picture showed it was meant to be saucy. The chicken was well cooked and spicy but lacked flavour. The grilled shrimps was one of the things we enjoyed.

Really loved their chicken offering, though I feel the pricing is on the higher side. They also serve red meat but chicken steals the show.I will be eating here more often. I think they are a solid contender to Nandos.Fries were sloppy and mushy the way I like but were too greasy.Their sauces are equally amazing. Adds a zest to the pallette.A must try

Normally if you’ve been to one chicken restaurant you’ve been to them all. But that’s not the case with Hasmi. VERY unique flavour and taste. Found myself dreaming of the chicken the next day - and when that happens you know it’s good! Interior is beautiful, chairs are comfortable, staff is attentive and friendly. Great experience.
