A nice spot to unwind and relax that is reminiscent of a proper English pub. Great pub food with lots of specials throughout the week. Awesome staff!

A working-mans pub with a good selection of beers, wines, and spirits backed up by an excellent menu with good British classic meals. Generous portions of well-cooked fare. I can personally recommend the steak pie and the bangers and mash.There are friendly, helpful, attentive, and efficient staff. It can get noisy and smoky at times, but overall a good experience every time.

Its a pub!!! Its open!!!! Say no more!!!!! If you are a smoker you can even smoke!!! Not too sure if that is good or bad but it does give you a feeling of the good old days when life was less regulated!!!! Service is very good and the attention to hygiene is top quality. Very appreciated in these difficult times!!!The pool table is great and loads of space to play!!!!Last but definitely not least beers are nice and cold!!!!Cheers!!!

Quaint pub. Great happy hour deals & weekend lunch deals. Food is generally great - highly recommend the chicken caesar salad (they put heaps of sauce & parmesan). Service is good.

Great English pub. Unlike many other places listed as Irish Pub or English Pub which turns out to be a fancy club, this place is exactly an English pub. It is the best one I have came across in Dubai actually. Happy hour from 4 to 9pm. Trivia nights on mondays, live band every day, very nice place. The band is good too. Has no outdoor area. Customers are mostly expat and specifically British as I have seen. There is a pool table and dart available as well and they air sports. Really great British pub where you can enjoy a few beers. Place is a bit loud but not on a level where you need to shout to a person next to you for them to hear. If you are a typical British pub person, this is your place.

Nice place for a quick catch up for a beer. The best part is valet parking available, as getting parking space in Dubai Marina is a task.

Very spacious place with nice staff, good food and cold drinks. Large area with tables and a huge bar counter! What else do you need from a pub? Sure, they have a few displays with football translations 👌

A good sports with cool bands, waiters and waitresses are very helpful at least most of them they have sometimes very good offers but not on the weekends off course.Anyways if you are planning to have pint and watch a match this would be a perfect place.

Arrived well before 10.00pm and had to wait for an appropriate table. They did not want to seat me on a table for 4 which I understand, I got a table and it was 10.04pm when the waiteress came and took the menu and said this menu finished at 10.00pm and was give what I would describe as a highly priced leftovers menu. Added to this the JBR Resident discount no longer applies. Noy a happy visit.

One of the rare bars where you feel safe even during covid times - i’ve been impressed how they have gone above and beyond the measures in place. Very attentive staff, solid prices for Marina and a great place to spend an evening with friends to catch up over a refreshing pint of beer.

Unfortunately, I have done some arrangements tonight with my friends to watch a football game at 10pm where we booked a table and all was confirmed anyhow they just canceled our booking last minute and give it away without even informing me. Also when I spoke to the manager he just said do what whatever you want sorry we can not help! I can only give you plastic chair near a pool table to sit with you friends.... very rude customer service

Tried to go there on my Birthday with 4 friends, the Bar Manager asked us the sit on 2 different already occupied tables. After we denied he asked us to leave and never to come back. I’ll follow his advice for sure. 👏👏👏. I used to go there at least 3 times a week for years but luckily there are many other bars around!

Ok so lets be honest here. Its not haute cuisine and top of the range ambience but sometimes - thats ok. If you want good, honest down to earth British food then Nell Gwynne is the place to be. The combo roast was AED58 - for 3 different meats with all the traditional trimmings including apple sauce, horseradish and mustard. The chef has been here now for sometime and every week its the same standard. Ive never had a bad meal all the times I have visited over the last 3 years. Add in happy hour beers for AED25 and you simply cant go wrong!

We went there on a Saturday, during ramadan of 2019.one of the best pubs Ive been to, in Dubai, so farBritish customers, mainly, as one would expect; but not the rambunctious sortchill atmosphere that wont have you go home with your ears ringingpints chilled to perfection, and at very good pricesIm not the type that goes to pubs to eat, but their food defied my notions. very tasty. very hearty, indeedworth a visit, for anyone in the area

Happy hour prices are good. Food menu selection is what you expect from this type of venue but the portion sizes are good so it is a good value for money location.

Cool place for after work beers. “Estrella” is mu favorite from their beer selection. I hope they still have it.

Decent bar to grab a drink. Usually lively on weekends, bands are normally good. Good selection of beers but prices are higher than average. Never had the food. Worth a visit.

Theres no natural light in this place, full of regulars that are typically older men, sort of a weatherspoon looking bar. Staff are very nice though. Not really a good place for families

For me its the best bar in Dubai, everyone is friendly, service is great and the live bands are good. Plus you can get a good old English meal at the same time.

Some venues ask for your ID to make sure that youre over 21. Nell Gwynne must have a door policy not to let in any man under 50. This is definitely an old mans pub. If youre on the boarder line of actually being an old man (like me) and youre feeling old and unattractive, the clientele of the Nell Gwynne will make you feel young, virile and devastatingly handsome in a way that you probably forgot decades ago.Is it bad? No, certainly not. As long as you know what youre getting into. This is a vestige of old expat Dubai, from the days when shopping malls were hardware stores and you had to swerve to avoid camels on Sheik Zyed Road. If youre a gang of lads wanting to watch the game and unwilling to be distracted by the overtures of the fairer sex, then this is the place for you. Lets put it this way, its one place that your wife/girlfriend or significant other wont be jealous of you frequenting. The only thing youre likely to be able to pick up here is a hangover and the cheque.

Very smokey bar, and the Heineken tasted off. Door staff are a bit of a joke as well, harassing me all the time, to the point where I had enough. Much better places to go than this, really wouldn’t bother.

Staff used to be lovely here, not now, personal touch has gone amiss. The bar is like any english bar in Dubai. A smoking area would be welcome but not a criticism for me, just eliminates any families. Came here over the last 3 years 20+ times, never saw a child so I guess don’t bring yours.Food is okay, fine if paying lunch happy hour prices, after this it’s extortionately priced for pub grub.

Ive been here once but I liked the vibes, the staff were friendly and the happy hour was good. Sadly I discovered the bar on my last night in Dubai, otherwise I would be a regular guest here!

Food is Terrible!! I ordered the fish and chips and the fish tasted like ammonia and was mushy. Everything else on my plate tasted like refrigerator. I tried to take it home for my cat and waitress told me it is against the rules for them to let you take the food YOU paid for out of the building. The place is is filled with more smoke than an indoor smoking room at the airport. Music is so loud you cant hear yourself think. Waitresses have a jaded hardened look to them. It did not surprise me when she shorted me 20 dirhams when bringing me my change. The whole place has a dodgy feel to it and you feel like you should be keeping a good eye on your wallet. Manager sits at the back booth smoking and giving everyone the side-eye. I needed a shower after leaving this establishment. STAY AWAY from this place!

Its not like it used to be... They treat you well these days..no attitude problems ..their choice of music is great .. the live band is good, there is also change of staff etc the food tastes much better, and they are served well & happy hours are very affordable - do re visit !
