Both times I have been here there have been long waits - 15 minutes turns into a hour. Lots of HSBC employees walking around trying to look busy, talking but not doing a lot, staring a screens and clicking stuff but not much gets done! And they close at 3pm!Update - the long delays were on the Premier side of the branch. Hardly any delay on the normal side! I was eventually taken to the normal side and helped by a filipino lady, she was extremely helpful, patient and a real breathe of fresh air.

My visits to Jebel Ali Branch have been very efficient, fast and helpful. I needed support for several things I was facing with my online account, which couldn’t be resolved on the phone. Mr. Saif and Ms. Gigi were very kind and professional and I truly appreciate dedication to help me in sorting out all the issues.

Unprofessional customer service. ATM machines are not functioning properly. 3 times cash gets stuck at the ATM without deposit and I had to call and wait for 10 days to get it.

Most horrible service provided... a simple local transfer cannot be done for days when all the ther banks does it within the hour... even my international transfers take just 10 minutes.... call center takes hours to reach... no improvement for many years been the same

Before going there, I went to the branch at Ibn Battuta Mall but they didnt hv a teller. Checking the reviews of all branches with tellers inhibits one from even venturing. But I went to this branch bec its closer to me than that on Wasl Rd and less complicated.The traffic on Yalayes Rd is prohibitive but once u navigate ur way to the bank (BTW its off Gate 2 and not 3, even if both start off from Yalayes West), you will forget ur troubles once u park (ample parking all around it) and u go inside. I intentionally asked the security and the employees inside about where to hv the check cashed, and all were very helpful and receptive. So the previous reviewers hv issues themselves and not the bank or its staff.They hv 3 specialized areas (if not more) so it seems a full service branch. I got a paper token and waited maybe less than 5 min (2 numbers ahead of me, 3 tellers). In no time i was on my way out. The rd back to SZR was not crowded and made it to work ahead of my duty time.I learnt from my experience to listen to others but retain judgment till i experience any situation myself; often I get a better impression. HSBC is fine even tho it doesnt hv enough branches like a local bank, but which international bank have enough branches locally?? Tell me if Bank of Boston, Wells Fargo, CitiBank, etc hv several branches in any city outside their home country? Lets get real !!!!!

Worst Customer service in the UAE. My debit card declined for an online transaction and I received a call subsequently asking me to confirm if I was trying to use the card. The person promised to reset the card since the transaction was declined to ensure secure transaction. Subsequently, we tried using the card but the transaction would still decline. I called HSBC phone banking thrice, the first couple of your service reps hung up the call on me. They did not have the courtesy to call back either. I called back for the 3rd time and was asked to use the card after later. This is my debit card and not a credit card. Ive been waiting for over 3 days now since someone would contact me within 48 hours. If this is the level of service for a Premier account holder, I wonder what the others experience, unfortunately.

I have to say I was dreading to go there after I read some of the reviews here but I was pleasantly surprised. I went around 10:30 am & I didn’t have to wait at all. The bank agent,Saif was very professional & friendly. He took his time to listen to my concerns & to offer advice.I went there to close my account & he assisted me in closing my credit card first as is their procedure & the whole process took only a few mins. I have been with HSBC uae for nearly 17 years & I leave them with a good last impression. This place definitely deserves a 5 star.

I am a victim of credit card fraud. Someone used my creo in another country.. I sent proof of my passport copy to HSBC and they claimed I received An OTP code and they closed the case. I have to pay for the fraud. Worst bank ever.. WORST BANK EVER. I cant believe I have to pay for the thieves who copy my credit card. The worst bank. Wheres my security??? Wheres my security as bank client. I cant use any credit card.

I am HSBC customer from past 10 years. Amazing staff friendly and cooperative. My opinion is that during this pandemic they must active their revolving door in the entrance Because of every one is touching the door handle nd pushing it to enter the building. Thanks

Based on my interactions with the call center, I guess the bank IT systems and processes are completely not working or they do not exist. Not recommended at all. One more thing, do not trust any word of what they say. Sorry for this bad review but this my experience based on years of relationship. I still have a credit card with HSBC which I am planning to stop soon.

Dear allI am writing this with heavy pain and Insult once i visited dubai mall branch of HSBC for ACCOUNT CLOSING. The person considered me as a second class human and treated me with insult. He doesnt gave me any proper information that why i cant close my account there since HSBC claim that account closing service is available in all branches. When i raise questions regarding it the person was slipping away without proper answers. i felt mentally insulted with those responses because only for account closing i travel from a far away place to Dubai where i have no branches in the place where i am working. Such response to the customer is very disappointing.

Wait times here are horrendous even for basic tasks like cash withdrawal from your own account. Prepare to spend an hour here for queue times, processing time, approvals etc. and I’m a premier member, so that’s in the fast lane.

This “bank” took a large service charge incorrectly from my account and after 2 weeks I am still trying to get it refunded. They have no telephone number for the branch just a call centre in India that like to shout their favourite mantra of “we totally understand” They keep saying someone will call but the “concerned” department in Dubai never does. It’s ok for them apparently to arbitrarily take people’s money and to not bother refunding it. It’s up to me to run around chasing and wasting time speaking to someone eating food in a call centre reading of a script. Ok HSBC I have now given instruction to close all of my accounts as of today. The whole point of putting money into a bank is for security so it rather defeats the purpose when the bank take money without cause from your account. I am utterly appalled by your indifference.

Cons: from the start and via other members of staff, there were delays, wrong information, miscommunication and daily headaches dealing with basic banking issues as a premier customer. This is continuing practice by the bank.Their main offices are located way out in Jebel Ali and Jumeirah, so any basic transactions (banking, exchange, signup, etc) you might as well take a full day off work for this! 800 line can answer basic info but will direct you to a main branch.Pros: ONLY pro about the service at this bank is due to Hussein S with the premier team. His amazing and proactive service has prevented me from walking away from HSBC altogether. Five stars for his service. However - now that he has left, it looks like service has resumed to regular business - no point in signing up for premier, youll have faster response from calling their 800 line.

Terrible customer service. On call is better if you ever reach them but they would still tell you to go to Branch. Be aware that custoemr service center has more power to cook you a burger rather than serve your banking needs. Well, they can atleast tell you where is nearest branch is, which is closed after 3pm. HSBC europe is totally different bank. Branch staff here are so arrogant and clueless.

Ok, it is very difficult to access, i also faced that no public transport and no Taxi around. However, Come on guys, what are you talking about ...., this is one of the biggest organisation of Financial Services around the world and i think it deserves more positive comments. And i found the stuff very helpful and friendly too. That is the thing which matters.

Probably the worst bank in the region. This is NOT the HSBC anyone else would recognise internationally...HSBC suspended our business account - without telling us. Only reason - they want multi million pound businesses not SMEs - despite their advertising to the contrary.I have now had to spend 4 trips to Jebel Ali, 8 hours of effort - just to try and get MY money out of the account..I will never bank with HSBC again, anywhere worldwide. And will certainly warn all of my contacts likewise.

Unfortunately, they are usually understaffed during peak times. Teller service is fine but I would suggest to add additional staff during the peak times to alleviate the waiting times as it can be painful.

Used to be my favourite bank but it disappointed of recently with the low service quality and becoming a cheap bank. Asked for security key device but get nothing after two weeks and i am about to fly. Called to call center and the operator firstly said it was due to the courier company then said to me it was due to no stock. I am totally disappointed with this bank and planning to look for a new bank.

A company in Europe transfered my some money to my bank account in Dubai but unfortunally HSBC rejected the transfer without a proper reason.(As per international regulations we are not able to transfer the money)Alright - This caused a lot of troubles for me but what else to do?!?Now I went to the Jebel Ali Branch 5 times and sended 3 Mails but nobody was able to help me.The only response from HSBC is following.Sir no worries the money is not lost. We start an investigation and come back to you in several days.Alright lets wait for a few days. Now I am already waiting for 2 Months :-)Everytime I come there to follow up they are telling me the same shi...Sir HSBC has to investigate and come back to you in a few days or maximum 1 week.One guy also told me also that all money transfers that has been rejected will be go back to sender account.Now guess what!!!HSBC is not allowing me to receive money and they are also not sending the money back to the sender account.Last 2 months the money is with HSBC and they are happy to cheat customers like me.The worst customer support I ever faced in my life!!!!!There are only 2 things I can do now.- Contact HSBC Headquarter in London directly- Open a legal case about HSBCThanks a lot!!!!

Made international transfer and toke 20 days to find out that they didn’t actually transfer my money however they had deduct the amount from my account keep it calling their customer support and all confirmed it is transferred!! What type of responsibility is this ???
