Al Maktoum International Airport (IATA: DWC, ICAO: OMDW), also known as Dubai World Central, is an international airport in Jebel Ali, 37 kilometres (23 mi) southwest of Dubai, United Arab Emirates that opened on 27 June 2010. It is the main part of Dubai South, a planned residential, commercial and logistics complex.

State of the Art Airport with nice relax areas free wifi and charging stations. On request a taxi insight the terminal brings you to the right gate.Also security checks are fast and efficient.

Clean, large airport. Travel from airport to city easy connection. But if drive by self with car and get to airport not to easy, need know way even you use map.

Another milestone in Dubais Aviation story, one of the biggest airports I have been to. Everything looks perfect and is well organized, have transited through plenty of times and its just super smooth without any hassles. Free wifi is a bonus but would appreciate if there could be more charging points for laptops and phones.

Al Maktoum International is a world class airport, I was luck to get a VIP tour of the place and it was during the Dubai Airshow.The Airport is massive and has stater of the art facilities, it took me an hour to get here from the center of Dubai. There’s not much around the Airport.

Very nice, great service

A massive airport that was going to be the new mega hub for Emirates though just like so many projects in the UAE it was never completed. Airlines have started services and then they have stopped services. The airport handles overflow from DXB for runway closures. It also handles a number of smaller carriers with less frequencies. The airport is positioned nicely for traffic for expo which has been delayed. Also if you live in areas like Dubai Marina, JLT, Discovery Gardens and the Springs etc it’s much closer than DXB. As only a handful of airlines use this mega facility it’s really quick and easy to get through. Customs, immigration and baggage facilities are all really efficient and fast. Like anywhere in Dubai you can shop. I only mark it down as the infrastructure in terms of transportation to and from the airport does not exist.

Good Airport but so mush far from city, aprox 60 km, their is bus services available DWC to DXB, for new arrivals it will little bit problematic, taxi and uber charge much hire if you have to go main dubai city, Al-Makhtoom Airport now just operating FLY-Rubwi air lines.

Half-empty airport with charter flights mostly from Russia and Eastern Europe. Nice and comfortable, but extremely far from the city centre. They have a bus connection with the nearest subway station. Ask for more information at the help desk.Bring an empty plastic bottle with you, so you can refill it from any water fountains.They have a duty free, drugstore, electronic store, Costa Coffee and McDonalds with McCafe (two times more expensive than in the city).

Boarder Agent Was Extremely Friendly,Greeted us in Hebrew Shalom!Airport is not too big so you get through pretty fast.If you rent a car make sure they mark every dent even on the wheel frames, the rentals are pretty professional but they will die to make another buck and watch for speeding camares they are literally everywhere....

Its one of the biggest airport in UAE its near to jabal Ali.All international flight are arrive and departure from maktoon airport.Parking area very wide and no traffic here.

Travelled from here to the UK back in December. Flights from here mainly to Eastern Europe. Decent facilities including a good lounge. Probably best thing is the free parking. Left my car for two weeks at no cost!! Easy to get to although a distance from central Dubai

I have been here many times. It always amazes me the size, the architecture, the interior, the levels and all the shops etc. Its one of the biggest airports I have been in. Its always busy with all sorts of people from all over the world. The airport is always clean and tidy and easy to get around. Usually there is deck chairs and other seating available for you. There is lots of staff around too. They have their own police and ambulance staff inside the airport. Its a sight to see.

This airport is the newest terminal to be opened in Dubai. The major disadvantage is the distance from Dubai International Airport as there is a distance of more than than hour even in the absence of peak traffic. Other than airport itself is fine offering reasonable levels of services and quality. Waiting area is good enough and all other amneties are provided

Had used this airport while leaving the UAE. Flights were delayed a lot of times. No announcement was made when the check in began of the said delayed flights. The security personnel were extremely rude even though we hadnt done anything wrong. First of all his English was extremely poor and started yelling at me and hand gesturing when I failed to understand what his broken sentences meant. And when youre in a foreign country it is especially scary when security starting shouting their head off at you for no apparent reason other than just not understanding their horrible horrible English. If youre going to deal with people at least be patient or have a translator around. It is not the persons fault that you cannot communicate. As a public servant it is your responsibility to be a good communicator. After this happened my passport number was noted down and I was told to go without any explanation by a female officer. When I politely asked what the issue was she just said nothing. You can go now she wasnt as rude as that man before her but it wouldve put my mind to ease if I had gotten even a little bit of information.Also, there are very few food joints in this airport and the choices are scarce, considering delayed flights a situation where you are likely to get hungry. Anyway, I hope my experience was just one incident and nobody else has to go through it. Cheers.

Clean, easy to get around, great coffee and dining options, ample resting place and seating, plenty charging stations and dont stress if you suddenly need toiletries or baby diapers, the bathrooms are fully stocked and caters to every need
