Great food, excellent service. The freshly prepared Shinwari Lamb Karahi with Bone is one of my favorite. Add to it the BBQ Rice Platter, amazing combination. Highly Recommended!!!

Are you craving fresh mutton chops. Yes, I said fresh! Wakha is the place for you. The food is authentic and prepared with love with traditional Afghani spices. It’s not overwhelming with spices, but yes it will surely very different from the varied food flavours that I have had at other Afghani restaurants. The prices are a tad higher but worth it considering the freshness of the meat and the quality. You can see the meat hanging in one of the photos I’ve published.All said and burped, it’s a definite try if you love meat specially lamb.

We ordered keema naan, lamb shinwari, mixed platter, naan.The keema naan was really nice. The meat had a nice kick to it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Lamb shinwari ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The taste was nice and meat was soft.Rice platter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This rice platter was too big for us (110aed) it can def feed 3-4 persons with sides.The rice was cooked well. The meats were nice.I also ordered sweet lassi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Have to say it was really delicious. Not sure if it had cream in it or what but I don’t usually drink plain sweet lassi but they didn’t have mango. This sweet lassi though is very rich tasting and creamy.Overall it was a nice experience. A little on the pricey side for us.Forgot to mention the outstanding service from the waitstaff they were really hospitable.

Thanks Wakha Resturant for delicious Kabali Pulao and delicious kabab and chicken karahi, but we wait a long for it, but I come to know you actually prepared fresh food after order. Anyway it’s worthy to wait and all of my friends enjoyed and will come back surely but I will prefer to order first over the phone before coming

Absolutely brilliant!!! The food is to die for.....such good grills. Really worth the trip to any of their branches. The service is also exemplary. Their waitstaff is delightful and very helpful in explaining everything on the menu. Be prepared to feast if you ever go there!

Went for Friday lunch to this Afghani restaurant, that serves authentic Afghani food ! If youre really hungry, Id recommend you call this place or order in advance as we had to wait about 30-40 mins to get our food. It seems they start cooking once we place the order, as the food is very fresh ! The food is WELL WORTH THE WAIT !!!We ordered the meat platter for two. The portion is generous for 2-3 people. The meat is fresh and with the rice garnished with raisins and fat from the meat and ghee. They also had Zomato 15% off. It comes to 100AED for two people.

Visited the place on Saturday 12th June. Theres a waiting list which is up to one hour mostly waiting time.The food was nice and tender. We ordered the wakha platter mini for 2. The prices are average. The seats are limited. Apart from this I just want to highlight this to the owner that food hygiene is a must, the reason I am saying this I found hair in the food, I didnt make a noise or anything. Its just good to know that the people who is working in the kitchen are following the standard hygiene practices by wearing hair net and so on.

Amazing experience the food is amazing and I would really encourage everyone to pay this restaurant one time visit and eat there, you will be addicted to it.Everything is fresh and to be cooked nothing is ready so it will take 20 to 30 mins to start eating.Recommend to try the rice with bbq it is amazing😍👍🙏❤️

Lovely Afghan food. Taste is very very fresh as its made there and then when you order. You have to wait for your food to be cooked but it is well worth it.

I recently visited to Wakha Restaurant at their main branch in Barsha, One of a few authentic Afghani/Peshawari restaurants in Dubai which offers a fine dining experience in Barsha. The food quality is Extremely good and the appetizer were super good, we tried there Lamb Karahi and Lamb Afghani Pulao and meat was melting in mouth. Proper cooked and got a chance to meet their Head chef too and he was such an amazing person. I am definitely visiting them again soon and would recommend to all my viewers to pay a MUST VISIT There.

Amazing Kabali Pulao with an authentic taste using right amount of ingredients.The only thing which is missing is a Goat meat. All they have is either lamb or chicken.

This has become our new favorite restaurant in the town. Perfect place to enjoy authentic Afghani and Peshawari food. Love the staff and service.Loved their BBQ, Kabuli Pulao and Dumpukht. Their tea in the end adds to the experience.

We ordered a shared platfer with rice and different type of meats, that was delicious. Lamb chops were very big and overcooked so it was not tender as it should be. Lamb cubes with tomato sauce was ok there is notbing top specific to mention about that.

A heaven for meat lovers. This is a Afhani restaurant. We had a small platter which was a lot for 4 people. It had multiple types of meats (chicken, beef and lamb). And all of them was amazing. The rice served in the platter was also very nice. The only downside is that it takes an hour or more for your order to arrive. But the wait is really worth. The staff is very friendly and the ambience is also good. The space is not big but the decor is nice. I would definitely recommend meat lovers to try out but you should order before hand.

What can I say.... The food was excellent. You can just eat the rice on its own and its still yummy. The ambiance and cleanliness was good too. The service however was a bit slow. Do come earlier (before peak lunch hour) if you dont want to wait long for your food. Will definitely come again.

This is the first time to try an Afghani cousin, and it was a very pleasant experience. Liked their big meat and chicken platter, it has everything.However the negative point was the service, it took them nearly 45mins to prepare our order as they cook it like after taking the order.Really recommended a place for a new pleasant experience.

Honestly, its just my random visit last night in Barsha area and suddenly saw this Restaurant.So decided to eat here and I ordered mutton shinavri & mix platter with pulao.Food and service both was good.Only thing once you ordered the food you have to wait for 30 minutes to get the food ready as they make food only upon order.So, plan your time accordingly 😌

Ordered afghani rice with Kabab .. test of Kabab not bad .. due to my experience the afghani rice totally fat of what I expected ..Total experience .. the food clean and not bad test but I would not repeat the experience again .

Expensive for what theyre offering, the mix grill platter is having more chicken than meat! & the chicken isnt fresh all breast part and very hard to chewing, a customer since 2018 but going to reduce the visit to none.

This is my second visit to Wakha and the food here remains just as great, if not better, as before.You can choose your cuts of lamb here and the chef will prepare it for you right away. Do note that the cooking is done without any cooking oil as the meat it slow cooked in its own fat.I had a brief chat with the friendly owner and got to learn about the efforts they put into the food.Second year on, this remains my favorite Pakistani restaurant in the world.

We were exploring food choice in dubai during eid holiday week. Every choice was better than the other. Afghani bread, Chicken Karahi, BBQ Platter. Loved the way they served platter, mixed with basmati rice with flowery aroma topping with Raisins.

Its a restaurant that makes you cut your Salad by yourself lolA small and well managed place crowded on weekend and as their slogan says they make everything fresh, it take atleast 40mins for your order to arrive so its not recommended for quick eats.the quality, quantity and taste are excellent but some people may find a bit pricey.overall pretty good experience, recommended!!

Nice ambience and helpful staff. Food takes time (approx 30-40 mins minimum). Quantity is sufficient. Pricing is a little on the higher side. Tried BBQ platter(BBQ with kabuli pulao) and Lamb karahi. Qandhari naan and qahwa with lemon.

It takes a long time as they make it fresh in front of us. Its ideal to call and order beforehand and book your place before you go as the quality is 5-Star. If anyone wants quick means then go to deira or karama, where they make a master gravy and everything tastes the same. Guys forget the negative reviews for time taken and keep up the good work at the Barsha branch. Wishing you all the best and will see you again soon.

A cosy little Afghan restaurant with décor that lends an ambience of authenticity. Excellent quality of food. Very tasty. Perhaps a little higher priced than one would be used to at an Afghan restaurant. But service, quality and the atmosphere do add value to the overall dining experience.

Wakha is a great place to have authentic peshawari/afghani cuisine. The ambience of the restaurant with Pakistani rickshaws on the wall and sheep carcasses hanging in the cold storage, give you a true feeling of being in Peshawar.We ordered the shinwari lamb karahi, wakha platter, chappal kebab and afghani nan. The karahi was absolutely yummmmmy. Very few spices. You have to order karahi by grams either 500 gm or 1000 gm. The platter has rice pulao and a variety of kebabs, tikkas(both chicken and meat) and chops placed on top and served in a big platter. All cooked to perfection. The chappal kebab were 250gms each. Could have been better in taste.The chatni and pickled carrots served as starters are lip smacking. Be careful if you dont like spicy stuff. We ordered Jane ama to drink as we were intrigued by its name. It was delicious.....a lassi type drink with cucumbers and herbs. The meal ended with peshawari kahwa. It was served hot and was a befitting end to a great meal.Wakha is highly recommended to all meat lovers.

Best place where you can taste lamb meat. Their salted lamb chops and lamb karahi in lamb fat is a must have. The best in town.

Wakha is my all time favorite restaurant. Almost every Thursday I got craving for chicken shinwari Karahi , afghani naan and afghani pollaw.The restaurant is very well decorated with traditional Afghanistan culture , musical instruments and articles .Waiters are in traditional afghani attire and it makes wakha unique than all other restaurants.The owner and staff is very friendly and warm and make you feel very comfortable like your own home.I would suggest to must try this restaurant at least one time and for sure you will not need any suggestion for 2nd time :)

Totally rip off very expensive and tatste is not good as they charge piles of grands.You have to wait outside in summer for your turn at least 45 to 1.5 Hr as they do not have proper sititng area and very tiny shop.

Food and the taste, no doubt no second thought, is awesome but the serving portions are small and also the price are sky high for all the regular dishes. The management should consider decreasing the sky high PRICES.

Great food as always.. but poor customer service mr waqas refused to accept esaad discount card even though it clearly states it could be used by spouse...and have used it before 4-5 times but this time new guy new rule didnt expect this kind of service ...infact wanted me to get my wife from home to avail the discount.. always paid in full before since 4 years but now if you are offering a discount at least commit to it without any drama....

Visited this place once, and I should tell you that it was perhaps one of the best grilled meat Ive ever tasted.Yes indeed it can take a while, as its all fresh meat (approx 30-35 minutes), but youll forget the waiting time with your first bite.Customer service was good and professional. To avoid the busy times and the waiting in line for dinner, I recommend visiting between 6:00-7:00pm as it would be a hassle after that. Also, our friend who took us there made sure to remind them to have the mix grilled meal juicy, as thats when they give you a perfectly juicy meal indeed.

They have great taste and very nice service. They have very good Rosh, Mixed Grill Platter. Presentation and taste follows traditional Afghani way. They also serve Roghan with Rosh which is very high in fats but has unique taste and aroma. It may take 30 to 45 minutes to serve, but it justifiable with taste and quality.

Absolutely pathetic...had Kadai chicken which was nothing but a half cooked tomato puree with some green chilies...and had a spicy tikka again just a red chilli and jeera paste applied in the chicken and bbqd...the chicken had lost all its moisture and was dry and hard like it was from two days old...will never go back or recommend this place...

Food is good specially pulao and chapal kebab. Loction is also good but sometimes its full so due to parking and road traffic jam is problamatic.

I love their Afghani food. One of the best restaurants for me in Dubai. High quality meet and chicken, with very yummy different types of rice. Whenever I have friends visiting Dubai I take them their. Nice food, good prices and authentic atmosphere. Highly recommended. Better to call and book a table if you have a big group.

BIG ZERO! We took chicken karahai and kaabli palao home and guess what I saw this bandage in my food. Can’t tell how shocked I was and was about to throw the food out. Regret why I went there. This is dangerous nasty and careless thing. Not even clean environment. Bad experience. Big cross!

After reading an endless number of positive reviews we decided to have lunch at this place. Unfortunately we were left disappointed. The level of service was atrocious the food quality mirrored this. The food was greasy and poor quality. Part of our order was missing and when we asked where it was they just smiled and looked confused and we were still billed for it at the end. Hygiene levels are also questionable. The tables should be better spaced out. Sadly we won’t be visiting again and we will not recommend Wakha to anyone.

We dine here twice during our stay in Al Barsha and still cant get enough of their food. They were absolutely one of the best food we had here in Dubai. Price is very reasonable. 35 mins waiting for food is so worth it. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Theyll give you some veggies with spicy dip whilst waiting for them to cook your foods. I say, a very healthy way to start your meal. Its really spicy so watch out. As always, Lamb is cooked very tenderly and juicy. We ordered WAKHA PLATTER which consist of Afghan rice and mixed grilled meat and some that are slow cooked. Its a good value for group. But we order just for 2. AED$105. We also get Shinwari Lamb 500g $63. You can have either spicy or not. Lamb is so tender. Theyll give you fresh baked bread which is absolutely a star. And some cola and water. For 5.25aed each. Totalled $183.75.. Well definitely visit this restaurant everytime we visit Dubai. Place is always cleaned and disinfect by the staff and so as the lavatory and toilet.

Absolutely brilliant! Its a small restaurant which can accomodate about 80 or so... we had to wait about 40 mins on Thursday night...but the wait was worth it. Id surely go back again and recommend it to others; we paid around 450 for 5 people so expect to spend between 80 and 100 per person.

Environment was good. I found this place little expensive. Food was good specifically we tried BBQ platter. You can pre-order here means book the order on phone before arrival otherwise itll take considerable time to prepare the food. Staff was polite. Place is not very big I think it would have a capacity of around 30 people. One last thing its on walking distance from Mall of Emirates opposite Lullu Hyper market.
