The place is definitely recommended visiting. It is a beautifully crafted engineering marvel. The whole team behind deserves appreciation. Visit website szgmc.gov.ae and do booking confirmation before reaching here for a faster entry to the place, that was the procedure when we visited. There are direction boards available after you enter the place. There is strict dress code in place and details available in website. ladies to wear dress that cover properly including the hands. Dress can also be purchased from shops inside.Ample underground parking is available separately for visitors at walkable distance to entrance. Day times can be bit hot.Carts with drivers are available for short distance transits. It would be nice f they can come up with some arrangement to guide the visitors without random security personal interference and spoil the moment.Overall a great experience

Looks like a big house with no furniture or appliances. No swimming or dipping in the pools.😉 Reminder: Abu Dhabi is not Dubai. Different rules. Dress appropriately & be clean or you will be denied entrance. No skin can show ANYWHERE, no tight clothing or shredded/ripped styles. Cover your head & neck. Only your face may show. I was 106*F with high humidity when I was there. I wore white because of the heat, though black is recommend for woman to help camouflage our figure. I recommend reading all instructions at enterance & also try to avoid talking or drawing attention to yourself. Pictures are allowed. Golf cart driver can give a ride if needed. Clean restrooms. Good tourist entertainment for the day

Without any doubt one of the modern marvels of this world. One of the world most beautiful Mosque. The construction is superb, the brightness of it white marble is breathtaking, the design and colorfulness of the main chandeliers are incredible. It was an amazing experience to sense and feel the peace of the place. Everything is well organized and design for managing big amounts of people. Nevertheless, I´ll recommend attending early in the morning (Open time at 9.00 am) to enjoy some free spaces. It has several parking spaces underground. It´s an unbelievable experience !!!

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is beautiful place to visit regardless of your religion. Entry is free and women can be given free outfit to cover up. I’ve had a long dress on but my wrists were uncovered and therefore I was politely asked to wear it.Also there are cold drinking water stations throughout the mosque. The best time to visit is after 9AM and it’s getting busy later on with all tours and busses. It’s a magnificent place to visit, highly recommendSpectacular building that will literally take your breath away..an absolute essential if visiting Abu Dhabi. We visited on a Friday evening and it was very crowded so be prepared for that. However it was very well organized with lines and queues kept moving constantly. It’s free to enter and appropriate clothing is available upon entering. It’s so beautiful and well worth a visit! This great Mosque is the must visit place Abu Dhabi. Made up pure white Marble i felt it is a replica of Tajmahal India. However, it is huge and huge than that. It is covers 7 soccer fields with worlds greatest chandelier and handmade Iranian carpet. Open for all religions. It takes 2-4 hours to enter and to see whole Mosque. 24 hour food is open for all. See its beauty in night as well. Words are not enough. Please go and see its beauty. I felt blessed and amazed with human art.Yes, it is beautiful.Yes, it is culturally enriching.Yes, it may remind you of the Taj Mahal (a newer, bigger version, but still NOT in competition with the Taj Mahal). But . . . .extremely crowded and almost feels too slick and commercial, especially for a religious location. Still.... a must see if in Abu Dhabi!

Itll take about 25 min ~ from the airport and there is free shuttle bus in the exit 2. Personally I was astonished of the details and presision of the Grand Mosque. Its strict for the outfit and photos taking. No short or T-shirt whitou sleeves, no skirt. Take neutral photos, do not make signes or some disrespect poses. Women have to be covered.

The best, beautiful and most amazing mosque I ever seen in my life. The artwork is so nicely done by the workers even the stone quality looks really beautiful. There is a too big space available for parking your car outside and even there is a vrry big space available for prayer or for visitors. From inside the rooms are so big and beautiful with amazing carpets on floors and fully air conditioned. For visitors or non muslims there is a separate way to go inside. You have to take a ticket (Free of cost) just to enter few details on manual touch screen and it will automatically generate a ticket which you have to show inside 2-3 times while entering into mosque from underground way. You have to keep the TICKET along with you. And for non muslim girls or outsiders you have to wear the Red color Burkha to cover your body. For those who are going for prayer then can directly visit the mosque from any main entrance. Once you exit from the mosque you will see the small shop and library, where you can purchase for kids or for yourself.

The Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi is the only Mosque where non-Muslims are allowed in. On this trip to the UAE, going here was a must.As long as you have a valid UAE visa, you can go to any part of the Emirates. It will help to carry some form of ID on you at every time, just in case.Abu Dhabi is more sedate and less commercial than Dubai and you really get the feel of a traditional Arab environment here.At the mosque, one is expected to adhere strictly to the mosque protocols. Clothing must be modest and for females, hair must be fully covered at all times. If your dressing doesn’t meet the etiquette, you will be provided an abaya with a hood for free. It will be returned upon exiting the mosque. Men will also be given jalabias if they are not properly dressed. The mosque is BREATHTAKING! I really have no words to describe all I saw. I’ll just summarize it as perfection and wow-worthy architecture. There’s so much thought and precision in every building, in all art and right down to the fittings and fixtures.Your tour guide should be able to give you some history behind different elements of this mosque. There are restricted areas for non-Muslims within the mosque and you will do well to adhere. Security is tight and you can’t get away with ANY misdemeanor. If you take any picture with your head uncovered, you will be made to delete it from your device. The washrooms are very neat and safe. You will be required to scan your ticket several times during your tour of the mosque so keep it safe. There is a souvenir shop where one can buy little mementos from on exiting the mosque. There are also loads of shops and restaurants all around the place but they were all closed during my visit, maybe because of Ramadan. This experience gave me a new paradigm regarding Islam and I respect the religion and the place of worship a lot more after my visit to this beautiful beautiful mosque.As-Salaam-Alaikum! 🙏🏾

An amazing architectural accomplishment. Highly recommend using a guide, who will be able to explain where all the mosaics, wall decorations, flooring and unbelievable chandeliers were made. Many of the features are from around the world and it was interesting to find out about this fact. Yes, there is a security check and shoes need to be removed as with any mosque, which modesty rules must be followed so if you visit be prepared. The site is extremely busy (was when we visited) Expect to spend at least a couple of hours to take it all in. I forgot to mention the fantastic huge carpet which is completely seamless and woven by hand. We visited during an “OceanAirTravels” day tour of Abu Dhabi, fortunate to be in an a very luxurious Toyota 4x4 with our driver “Irfan Khan” who explained about their culture and religion. Attached photos show the carpet, some chandeliers and a portion of some patterned flooring up to a wall which was designed in England and created on site.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a colossal place of worship; big enough to accommodate over 40,000 visitors. The largest mosque in the UAE and third largest in the world, the complex covers over 22,400sqm. The main prayer hall can hold more than 7,000 worshippers, and there are two smaller prayer halls with a capacity of 1,500 each. Such is the mosque’s size that more than 100,000 tonnes of Greek and Macedonian marble were used in its construction. It is the key place of worship for daily, Friday and Eid prayers. It features 82 domes, more than 1,000 columns, 24-carat-gold gilded chandeliers and the worlds largest hand-knotted carpet. The mosque is free to enter and you dont need tickets. General visiting times are Saturday-Thursday 9am to 10pm. The mosque is closed to tourists (but open to worshippers) on Friday mornings. It reopens for tourists after 4.30pmSheikh Zayed Grand Mosque offers free guided tours in English or Arabic. Abayas are provided for women and long trousers for men. Don’t forget your sunglasses for those dazzling white surfaces. Its indeed a wonderful sight to behold.

It’s been more like a sightseeing recently, the entrance for tourists is always crowded, especially when you have a stroller and a baby is exhausting to walk underground for more than 10min just to reach the elevator that takes you up to the mosque. You should consider to have a entrance for families closer to the main gate and not only for Muslims. Overall is a great and clean building that makes this inner peace to come through the mind.
