Ilforno is one of the oldest Italian restaurants in uae. It’s been here since 20 years! And they have managed to maintain the same quality. We had so much! And mind you the quantity is absolutely amazing! It’s totally worth the money.We had everything that the manager Yousuf suggested and it turned out so well for us.We had orange and carrot juice and C-Power (mango kiwi strawberry pineapple melon) both of them very super healthy and super yummy.In the starters we had Monte Cristo- they are pizza rolls filled with olives, mozzarella, tomato sauce, pepperoni. This is a must have from their menu!Then we decided to have pizza and a baked pasta instead of regular classic. Tried the signature ilforno pizza and primavera. Both turned out cheesy and loaded with toppings, the quality of ingredients was also really nice.Baked pasta - penne cacciatore is the cheesiest pasta you will have. And it’s A MUST HAVE!For deserts you cannot not have tiramisu at an Italian restaurant. So we had that. But what stole the show was the strawberry cheesecake and their homemade icecream.All in all worth every penny. Amazing staff! Try the place!!

Upon entering the restaurant, I was welcomed with a big smile by their staff. I was then escorted to my preferred table and was given the menu. I informed them that I am a repeat customer and they thanked me for dining with them again. This small action of gratitude makes me feel welcomed. This simple gesture really means to guests, hence I appreciate it a lot. That is another way of giving first impression! It is also noticed that another staff was sanitizing the other tables. She was using a spray and clean cloth to sanitize the tables and chairs. They also provide sanitizers on each table. Well done, IL FORNO! Nowadays, safety comes first!Moving forward, I then started choosing the food that I missed to try last time. While browsing the menu, I might have had a confused look on my face hence one of their staff approached me and offered for assistance. She was very willing to explain in detail what is the dish about and what it is made of. Another gesture that may be simple or small, but as a guest, I felt I was valued and taken care of. After deciding, I then inform the staff which one I want to order. I was surprised that she is not writing all the orders down. She was just listening to me the whole time, and when I was done, she summarized all my ordered and they were all correct and accurate! Wow, I dont know if they have such trainings for this or something, but she got me impressed big time!Now while waiting for our food, we were given a complimentary French bread with 2 dip options. The wait was not long until they served the starter. We ordered the Arancini Ai Carne which is so huge and packed with high-quality ingredients. It was freshly-prepared as the filling is steaming hot when we cut it in half. Shortly after the starter was offered, we received our Fettucine Con Gamberetti. Its flavor is as great as it looks. This Italian dish is generously made of fresh shrimp, tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes, basil and olive oil. The pasta quality is perfectly cooked. The shrimps are big and the overall taste feels like heaven. The taste of tomato sauce did not overpower the taste of other ingredients.While digging into the pasta, they served the Chicken Barbeque Pizza which is simply irresistible with every bite! The BBQ sauce is perfect and you will notice that there is a transition of flavors in your mouth if you took a bite with the Cherry Tomato. It is really satisfying and I was happy this was recommended to us by the staff. Taking a sip of their delicious and refreshing Strawberry Mojito and Watermelon juice gave our food a little push down to our stomach.In between our dining experience, can I just mention how caring the staff are? They always check on us, if how is the food, or is there anything they can do to help us. Thats so lovely! She also said that shortly we will be served with the steak, so she provided us the salad as a starter for the steak.Not so long, the smoking-hot and aromatic Pepper Steak was then brought to our table. It looks so inviting, and those little sizzling sound it makes get you more excited to take a slice and bite! Have a look on how generous they have added those potato wedges and vegetables on the side. Mind you that this steak costs only AED 81! Thats really a good value for money, isnt it? And yes, undeniably, their steaks meat is so tender. The mushroom sauce that comes with it is really, really good! I loved it so much!Overall, its not just a happy tummy but also a happy heart and a safe experience. When dining, people dont just consider the food quality but also the service as well as the hygiene and safety. At IL FORNO, they have food quality, customer service and safety on the top! This is the perfect formula to a successful restaurant. No wonder a lot of people have been talking positively about IL FORNO these days! Definitely visiting them again very soon!

Wow never knew about this one of the oldest Italian restaurant in Abu Dhabi until today.Had a great fine dining experience and trust me the best food, with comfortable seating and such courteous staff. Loved dining here with my family..The seats were properly sanitized before we sat. The sanitizer was well in place..Staff offered menu and the bard code of the menu for online menu was also available..The extensive list of pizzas around 20 different varieties of pizzas and about 8-10 varieties of pasta. Starters were very huge in portion and were made to perfection..The flavour and taste also the presentation and overall experience was indeed a good one..It is located next to the food court and its is a must dine in places in Abu Dhabi..Baby high chair was offered to us for our infant..Food came piping hot..There is a kids menu with good options as well.I feel that staff has great menu knowledge and their happiness shows in their service..We felt quite like royals with their impeccable service and wanted to say thank you to the Restaurant Manager and the chef. They customized our food according to our taste....Dining here has been a great experience..

I am in love with Il Forno specifically in Abu Dhabi Mall Branch for their nice crew and the best pasta ever.The server (Omar) is very nice and he ensures that you get the best choice. He’s superb!I always want to try something new from their menu every time me and my friend visit the resto until, I’ve tasted their Spaghetti Salsa de Ostriche. Oh M G! the best pasta ever!!! overloaded with toppings: calamares, shrimp, bacon with creamy sauce. It is the top choice for me but I also love the other pasta. Al dente😉 because I keep on coming back, I was able to know the name of their pasta chef. Kudos to you Chef Paul!I am not a pizza lover and I rarely eat it until, I’ve tried their Alfredo Pizza recommended by Omar. So good!I highly recommend Il Forno (Abu Dhabi Mall Branch)💯💯💯💯

The staff was not friendly. The Arabic waiter was speaking in a very loud tone and was being rude. We asked to change our table before the order was ready but the waiter kept telling us excuses like the table needs to be sanitized and after it was sanitized he told us he reserved it for someone else. We stayed there for until the restaurant closed but nobody came to sit there. The food was nice. But again the waiter didnt explain the menu well. Pretty bad attitude from Arabic staff. Kind of ruined a good weekend.

Don’t recommend it. Try to avoid as it’s not worth the money. Pizza Hut in tourist club area is a better value for money. Hassle to order as staff isn’t very helpful

The pasta especially the white sauce is really nice and tailored for all nationalities. The penne arabiata is also one of the best and suitable for spicy lovers. Pizzas- well Im not into their pizzas... service wise is good nothing to complain about. Its just consistency of their compliments. One time they offer you ice cream and most of the time not. When you will ask them why there is ice cream and they will tell you it is always there.. well....
