IL Forno - Al Wahda Mall: Tried their “Caesar salad”, “Lasagna Di Pollo” and “Pollo Pizza” and i must say everything was tasty. Quantity was very good that we ate to the fullest and brought home too 😆. Their staff is friendly and helps to decide your order. So my overall experience was amazing at IL Forno. Last but not the least, don’t forget to try their Blueberry cheesecake. 👍🏻

The seating area in wahda mal foodcourtl outlet is vast and they will provide you 3 menus - 1 with pictures, 2nd with their descriptions and 3rd with their new menu. The new menu is very exciting with some amazing new flavors to choose from.𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙤 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙙 - yummiest mango cubes with walnuts, raisins and lettuce. Most amazing Italian Dinner Experience in Abu Dhabi...!!To start with, the availability of a wide variety of choices left us oscillating - lets try this, no lets try that 😄😄 And as always, a staff-member happily intervened to help us decide. 😍She suggested us the Penne Al Peperoncino (one of their signature penne pasta - tomato sauce, grilled chicken, fresh creamy sauce, parmesan cheese.) along with Oceanica (Seafood Pizza - Mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, smoked Norwegian salmon, shrimp, calamari, capers, garlic, rucola).We also ended up ordering a plate of Mozzarella Carozza (mozzarella sticks), Garlic Bread and a Chicken Barbeque Pizza, along with a couple of fresh juices.To say that the items were delicious will be an understatement. Each one was absolutely amazing, especially the Penne Al Peperoncino! It was by far the best penne pasta we both had had ever! And the portion size was pretty generous, to say the least.

I was in Al Wahda Mall and I was craving for an authentic Italian Pizza and Pasta. I was clueless where to eat so I have ask recommendations from my friends, and they have advised me to dine at IL FORNO.I then headed to IL FORNO which is conveniently located on Level 2 (Food Court). Upon arrival, I was gracefully greeted by their staff. They were welcoming and attentive. They were also wearing gloves and masks and so I felt really safe.I was then given the menu and I was surprised to see a lot of variations of authentic Italian Cuisines. This is what I was exactly looking for! While browsing the menu, I was assisted by their staff as I had couple of queries. She was explaining in detail what the dish is made of, how big the portions are and she also suggested some of their best-sellers. She was very patient and was very helpful. The starters were then served without waiting for so long, and it was fresh and hot! These are the mouth-watering dishes I have tried:Monte Cristo Pizza Rolls -- Its made of Mozzarella Cheese, Tomato Sauce, Mushroom, Black Olives, Chicken, Pepperoni, Potato and Cheddar Cheese.I know I have to start with the soup, but the looks of this dish is so inviting that I have to take a bite with it first! It was so delicious and I love how the flavors of the ingredients blend in my mouth. You cant miss to have this dish when you dine soon!Now, after a couple of bites of Monte Cristo Pizza Rolls, I then enjoyed my Zuppa Di Funghi. It is basically a creamy fresh mushroom soup, but not the usual one! This one is more creamier and a bite of toasted bread makes a really good combination.I also enjoyed a bowl of fresh salmon salad called Insalata Al Salmone. It is made of Roman Lettuce, Smoked Salmon, Boiled Eggs, Green Onion, Cucumber mixed with Ceasar Dressing. The vegetables are fresh and very clean, and the smoked salmon is delicious!Not so long, our main course were delivered to our table. I was already tempted to dig into the pasta, but I thought of taking a bit of Mozzarella Caroza first. And yes, I did not regret it! It is now one of my favorites and I will definitely not miss it on my next meal.Okay, its time for the main course! I ordered Spaghetti Paradiso. Its made of Italian tomato and roasted red pepper, pesto sauce, charcoal-grilled herbed chicken breast with cherry tomato. The ingredients were well-balanced and it is very delicious. The portion is already a good value for its price.I also tried the Lasagna Di Pollo, which is made of layers of lasagna sheets stuffed with strips of grilled chicken, sweet red pepper, mushroom, Béchamel sauce, mozzarella cheese. Very authentic indeed! the texture of the lasagna sheets were perfect and not overcooked. The quality of the cheese is also of good quality! I wanted to take more bit but their best-seller pizza iL Forno Pizza is so tempting! It has Mozarella Cheese, tomato sauce, italian beef sausage, ground beef, beef pepperoni, green pepper, mushroom, onion, basil, oregano, green olives. The crust was perfectly baked. The vegetables and meat were well-cooked.This pizza is getting all my attention, but Quattro Stragioni is also something we cannot ignore. Its basically a 4-season pizza, which is made of Mozzarella Cheese, Tomato Sauce, Seafood, Meat, Four Cheese, Vegetables. Each variety is so tasty and the quality is way beyond my expectations.I also tried their Chicken Wings which was well-marinated as you can taste its meat flavor in every bite. Lastly, and the highlight of all, I had Tiramisu and Blueberry Cheesecake for dessert. Being having a sweeth tooth, I can say that it was one of the best desserts I ever tasted! Very creamy and not too sweet! Overall, I really enjoyed my dining experience, and I will definitely come back again soon!

I went to IL FORNO at 2nd Floor, Al Wadha Mall, Abu Dhabi and I’ve tried the Food.The Pizza and The pasta are super Delicious! I love the texture of the crust and the toppings along with fresh ingredients of the Pizza. The Pasta is “Oh My! so Good” the creaminess of the sauce , perfectly cooked pasta and the seafood toppings. This is a must!Overall experience is amazing! From the Freshly baked Pizza, mouthwatering Pasta and Starter to the Generosity and kindness of the Staff. They are very accomodating, helpful and knowledgeable on the menu. This place always satisfies our Italian food craving. Staff, food, quality of food & service… everything is 5star. We went for lunch at this restaurant. We started our lunch with fresh juices.Cpower : it was a mix of mango, kiwi, pineapple,strawberry & melon.Bluemoon : it was a mix of Blueberry, orange ,mango & kiwi. Both the juices were fresh and we could feel the high quality of the ingredients used.Galric bread with cheese: Italian food is incomplete without starting with garlic bread and these breads were perfect. We also ordered Potato wedges and Arancini balls…Arancini ball is my new favourite starter now.We tried one non-vegetarian pizza...Chicken tikka masala Pizza & vegetarian pizza...both the pizzas were as per out taste and it didn’t feel too heavy on our tummy as other pizzas do.For desserts we had Tiramisu & waffle… as i am huge waffle lover. Tiramisu is a must must try dessert here ....true taste of Italian tiramisu.

Not a good experience.How come I order to dine in and get a cold pizza; while Im just sitting 4 feets away from the cashier and waiters! I got too furious that I took it home!They Reheated it and made the periphery of the pizza burnt black! Same for potatoes and chicken wings!

The food is okay. i was expecting something different that is really good but somehow it wasnt. they shouldnt use the il forno baked pasta name if the food wasnt that good enough.

It was our pleasure being at ilforno and trying their fresh and healthy dishes. If you are a Italian food lover then this is a must visit place in Abu Dhabi I can say. I just loved their pizza and all the desserts.

This is one dish you must try if youre a pasta lover; the rich creamy pasta cooked in white sauce, olive oil, shrimp, calamari, bacon-topped with oyster sauce..Well, If you know me well, you know my love for Italian cuisine and il forno never failed to impress me, from the friendly staff to the delicious food they will make our mind and tummy all the time happy..These are other dishes I suggest to you guys.Seafood soup - our family favorite, its actually a symphony of flavors & texture in my mouth. Try it, and this will surely uplift your taste buds with its mouth-watering taste..Chicken wings served with original ranch dressing, we opted for medium spice level, you can adjust your spice levels here. I basically love the seasoning, its good & perfect for my taste..This pepperoni pizza is anyway excellent here. It has an excessive quantity of cheese and sauce and pepperoni. Just one slice of this will make you incredibly satisfied...And I cannot stop ordering Lasagna. This time also I tasted Il Forno Lasagna Di Pollo and this version is addictive!!  It has everything you want in a lasagna. Heavy Creamy cheese on top and the sauce is so meaty..The place is a must-try for all Italian food lovers.

Made the mistake to eat here with my family. The biggest pizza they have (around 70aed) barely fills two. TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT. You would think that because it is an italian restaurant they will have good piza, WRONG. Got a beef bbq with around 2 grams of beef

After having posted the below, I was contacted by the management who apologized and offered to invite me back to retry the restaurant. A positive initiative that I accepted. So I went back today and the experience was much better. Hoping that the staff will continue listening to their customers and offering nice experience. Changing my review from 1 star to 4. Please remove the true Italian taste from the sign. There is nothing of Italian on that pizza, only the name. Its ok for a pizza fast food, but it cannot be compared to other pizzerie in Abu Dhabi. Surely it was a frozen dough, that one from the supermarket is even better. Since prices are on the average I would have expected a real mozzarella on it. Change name!
