Nice building , seems they want to transplant ( am a kidney transplant patient ) Mayo Clinic here , without taking into consideration the cultural barriers and differences.Regardless, they really need to improve services in the Oncology clinic .I only go there because my insurance is not covered , so I get free service under Mandate government program . If this mandate was given to private providers I would consider Burjeel Medical City .But please try and improve your Oncology clinic services ... everything from the whole experience , pharmacy, labs ...there are too many managers walking around aimlessly in this place and few people doing the real job.

The worst service in a healthcare Institute Ive seen in Abu Dhabi. Operations is a mess. Starting from registration, to coordination between clinics, and ending at the pharmacy. It is like navigating through a jungle. And the worst part is that the staff are learing about the process of how the system works along with the patients. Like a trial an error approach. Highly not recommended for critical conditions.

New medical city, very big buildings, quiet atmosphere and well organized place, but no facilities for visitors like coffee shops, supermarket, restaurants or flowers and chocolate shops.So, don’t forget to bring your visit gift before you go there.You can reach there easily by bus.01/02/2020

Unfortunately every time I visit I feel sorry it’s one of the biggest health establishments in UAE!!! Very poor costumer service, nurses never offer help and doesn’t give the impression of their concerned helping patients!!!!! One time I’ve tried to reach management to complain but they made me feel they are non reachable!!!! Feel despoiled it’s in my no one country more over they do have most of best doctors which make it unfortunately unpleasant experience for needy people to use this facility.

I am writing this review on the basis of my recent experience. It is one of the worst hospital in term of customer service. I am really disappoint with overall experience with Oncology clinic as all the employee are not responsive and they show the attitude to customer. They dont have sense of patient emotion.I recommended other people not to face same experience which I face as the only beauty of this hospital is the building not people. We need to follow up and begging for each service to them. The money which our insurance paid to them are not worth it.

I went on oncology consultation about 7 days ago, they have sent me to laboratory , waited about 4:30h to hear “No ma’am, this is special test you need to come Wednesday 9 am.” So I came 9am, waited 3 hours again to be told sorry we don’t have enough staff, and there was aprox 45 patients after me, upset. Not to mention that most of them had surgery recently or chemo.So my kind advice as a business development manager in healthcare facility, kindly arrange the lab, one technician who is data entry as well one room for blood collection is not acceptable especially not for oncology patients who are already enough disturbed, you have lost one patient today- me.Thank you

ER is the worst I don’t recommend unless you came with an Ambulance!!!. They are not helpful the doctors do not know how to deal with mild to moderate cases, they will discharge you with Adol after hours of waiting to be exact 6+ Hrs !!!.

I left the emergency department as they told me that I have to wait about 5 hours for covid-19 test. If they segregated the covid-19 test from other screening it would be easier. Just a nurse job

Currently admitted in this hospital. The nurse told me that they will transfer me to the other room for some reason without even asking for my permission. Asked me to pack my things and porter will pick me up with the wheelchair. Transferred me to 2 different rooms by mistake in the middle of the night that I supposed to be resting already. Poor room management of the Nurse Supervisor on duty and not respecting Patient’s rights! Transferred from my room at 11:00PM past March 28, 2021, jumped into two different rooms by mistake and get settled by 12:27AM March 29, 2021. Hope you’re practicing your “Patient Rights” posted in every room.

The worst hospital I waited 7 hours I went to the emergency room because I had very bad abdominal pain. And the doctor just decided to make a blood test on me because I had abdominal pain and refused to make me a ultrasound because he said it wasn’t an emergency.

The worst hospital in Appointments and also no concern at all and no responsibility in sticking to the appointment..I had to take appointment 4 times for hematology because every time they will change again and again. My home is 1 hr away and the day of appointment the nurse called and tell me to come withen 15min because dr .wants to leave. Just as simple as that.Not taking care that we are actually putting schedule to come especially at time...but they call suddenly to come now as they please...bc dr. Wants to go home early. Worst place ever.

I had the worst experience ever due to disorganization and unprofessional response. I called SEHA and they helped me reach the complaints department of the hospital. The lady at the complaints department was very helpful and she followed up with me until I got the assistance I needed. May God bless that lady. She was the best.

The ER section Took forever waited for almost 4 hours just to be told there was 15 people in front of me and they told me that four hours ago four hours later I was told there was 15 people in front of me had to leave and go to other hospital

Very bad hospital. Bad security guards. Bad rules. Non sense rules actually. People please dont come here if you are delivering baby or visiting a sick. They wont allow food inside and only meet for 5 minutes one person at a time. They are playing with sentiments. One of the security said if it was in my hand I would allow you to take food what kind of talk is this? Does not know how to speak properly in English.

Every slow service, not enough doctors in the emergancy. It took one hour for a doctor to speak to my mother and then another one hour after the tests were ready.

The hospital is great, and the doctors . nursing services are super star.Catering and housekeeping as well as security company has to be destroyed.Not cleaning the rooms, and if you request cleaning they dont do full cleanI requested a bottle of water while i was admitted and it tool 1 hour 33 minutes to get this bottle of water knowing not allowed to bring the water from outside due to COVID, but unfortunately COVID is living between the rooms specially with the very poor housekeeping and catering company.The best part will be the security company i always like to talk to them so I can enjoy how useless they are.every security guard has his own rules in visiting time, and each one has different rules about whats allowed and whats not.there is more scenarios about how rubbish are these 3 services, and i wish any of the leaders can read this feedback so they can develop their leadership skills !!!!

The most respected profession comes with a big responsibility, and it was clearly seen in Dr. Mahmood Kishta at Emergency department.My husband met with a car accident a week before and was taken to Sheikh Shakbout medical city, Abu dhabi. I was extremely terrified with the news, but the moment a saw the way Doctor and the nurse Shabeer dedication, I knew my husband is in safe hands.I appreciate Dr. Mahmood and nurse Shabeer for handling not only the case well but also assured me that they will do their best.Dr. Mahmood made sure that my husband is fine to move and can get discharged and only then they allowed him to go.Dr. Mahmood is an excellent doctor and I would like to thank him and nurse Shabeer for doing an excellent job. My husband is improving. Thank you

If you are a tourist on tourist visa please please please do yourself a huge favour and do not go to this hospital.Eventhough its a Government establishment they are cheating people out of their money. We were told to pay 2500.00 AED by their cashier for treatments my mother received while on visit, when asked for an invoice he said he will get us a discount. In the end we paid 1500.00 AED and still the cashier was unwilling to give us an official invoice. Apparently their POS machine was out of order so we were asked to pay cash. Upon payment, we were given whats called an estimate with breakdown of charges. However we insisted on an official receipt and the cashier provided us with a paid seal on the said document however was told that the seal was provided in good faith and that we shouldnt question these charges later.Long story short we took it up to their higher management as we noticed we were charged AED 570.00 for a Covid test, the management did an investigation which took FOREVER, we were told that we were not supposed to have paid anything by gentleman in accounts department, that our total shouldve have been 0.However after about 3 weeks of waiting patiently with just follow up calls to tell us that action has been taken against their cashier for his misconduct, we were told our official invoice is now ready and they were still short of 100.00 AED so we could pay another 100 and collect a so called official invoice.Most horrible and disgusting experience from a Government entity, the trauma of being made a fool over and over again by an establishment that is supposed to provide healthcare to the public.

Professional staff from Doctors to Nurses.They really were very helpful !

I was admitted as an emergency patient recently and have nothing but good things to say about my treatment.All staff were incredibly caring and professional.The food was really good (although being able to select a vegetarian option would have been nice).It was assumed, on my first night, that my husband would stay with me and the nurse started to prepare a bed for him. He couldnt stay because of commitments at home, but it was nice that they made arrangements regardless.Surgery was performed within 12 hours of admittance and pain relief was plentiful both before and after.The only reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 is that its taking a while to get my physio appointments arranged even though my consultant has asked twice - Ive been home a week now and not had a call for my first appointment yet.

Best Medical Services in the UAE.

Unfortunately to say this hospital is very unprofessional in everything. Mostly for intensive care unit all nurses are lazy mostly for the hygiene they didnt wash they hand before they will enter in icu room. Special the bucket that they used in patient face, to clean his face one nurse used it to throw the urine of our patient. They are only strict for all visitors but they dont know to take care their patient. They are also harsh to say over acting to our patient isnt good to say that. Our patient fall down coz always the nurse always not there. One nurse given our relative medicine at 10pm his hand wet and his not using gloves before our relative super sleepy he didnt try to asked y ur not using gloves his thinking that his dreaming the Indian nurse even the medicine fall done he took it n force him to gave to my relatives. The other day morning same routine that he didnt wear gloves and wash his hand always his hurry to given medicine. my relatives awake and asked last night ur forcing me to take medicine without using gloves even Im sleeping now ur doing again. Take new medicine and used glove after my relatives said that he didnt come back again even for helping him to went in toilet until he felt down coz no one nurse there. Hire professionals nurse not India that dont know how to wash their hands and dont know how to give medicine on proper time. Using bucket face and pee good. Nurse. Good facilities good security but nurses 😠. Taking blood sample. If ur a professional one time 2x trying to see the vein is enough for the professional nurse or doctors but 7x my God our patient is not a baby his adult already. 7x is not acceptable.

I had a very bad experience in emergency room the clinic is full of patients doctors and nurses are playing with phones and keep chatting with loud voices and laughing like there are no patients hope there is a supervisor to check around and see why patients have to wait 2hrs to see a doctor and see why is everything moving too slow

Ive been to this hospital together with my 2nd employer(Mama)The place is very neat,the food for their patients was great...and all their staffs are very helpful.Shout out to all the nurses (6floor)You know what I mean especially to my kababayan nurses and to nurse Rahma Al-Badi.May God bless us all!

It’s very unfortunate to say this hospital is very unprofessional in everything. Imagine for the blood test you need to wait 3 hrs at least to get the result. Not just that, but for the simplest thing like ordering food takes at least an hour to come. Now the biggest problem is most of the doctors and the staff have an attitude towards the patients and even lacking skills. I wish there is a rating with less than one star. The buildings are nice and new, but honestly patients don’t care about fancy walls all what do they care about are the services! I went to emergency and waited for aaages to see the doctor. All patients are upset and unsatisfied. The place is noisy and unorganized. Please please learn from CLEVELAND and implement their ways of dealing with people and their way of making things quickly. I’m upset when I knew that almost all same doctors were transferred from Mafraq, I thought better experienced assets will be brought.الله يرحم ابوي اللي مات ع ايدهم بسبة التشخيص الخطا والاستهتار والتفكير فاجازة العيد بغض النظر عن حالة مرضاهم! اتمنى تتحسن احوالهم ويحسنون ادارتهم

The City has a total of 732 beds, two Presidential Suits and 36 VIP suits, and it shall become a distinguished Centre for trauma and Gordian incidents treatment upon full operation and staffing. It is to be considered one of the major Medical Facilities specialized in intensive care among the region with several Operation Rooms, Emergency Departments, ICU, Labor and Delivery rooms as well as Medical research Centre in addition to 132 beds dedicated to serve ICU and NICU referrals, it is also consisted of advanced wounds treatment center, 18 operation rooms and a natural and premature birth department, along with various medical specialties. Really disappointed with this SSMC hospital,It is very unfortunate to say the worst hospital in Abu Dhabi. If it is an international hospital, it is better to make it local like Mafraq Hospital, at least the management will be more organized.Every time I have to go to SSMC, I get tired of it psychologically and physically and try to find another hospital.1. There is no follow-up by the management and the doctors are not sufficiently qualified.2. Very poor service and there is absolutely no professional way to deal with a patient.3. They talk to patients in a rude manner, ignore them, and make them sick and sick.4. The emergency service is very, very poor. The average waiting time in an emergency is 5-7 hours.5. In emergencies, nurses and staff are busy with their phones instead of caring for the sick, and they keep talking in loud voices and laughing together as if there are no patients.6. Doctors diagnoses are often wrong 9/10 times.7. There is no supervisor to verify the place and to know the reason for the failure of the work in a correct manner, and to clarify the reason for the very slow procedures.Really a really nice, modern building only with weak management and very very very unfortunately.I hope their condition improves and their management well.

The worst hospital in Abu Dhabi,, you are not deceived by the beauty and luxury of the building,, even the administration is very, very bad.. any simple procedure they dont know how to act, each one follows the other.. the registration department says I entered it into the system and you received the paper inside,, you enter inside they say The doctor is the one who gives the papers. The doctor says: No, the doctor will see the matter,, the second doctor (I am deaf, the nurse takes data) me!!! And the data you recorded for the first time!!! The important thing is that the nurse came to me and said no, you must download the registration (which I was with them from the first time, of course) and take the paper and return to the registration department and return the same words,, and the client is lost in their circle who does not know where to finish his procedures 👎🏻👎🏻

Unfortunately, the merger of Khalifa with Shakhbut is a disaster for the patients. Khalifa, despite her small size in front of Shakhbout, but she has wonderful doctors and a classy treatment.
