Their iftar buffet was sumptuous. Though it was not self-service, their staffs are always ready to assist. Will definitely come back.

Ive been here a couple of times because people convince me its great. Ive had a very mixed experience here, though I can understand the draw of the themed nights on offer.Last night was really the final straw and so here comes my experience on steak.Drinks and service are pretty decent and prices are reasonable, however my steak was not good.I opted for a South African striploin which I ordered medium-rare. What I received was something that looked like seared tuna steak. It was grey and oddly pink in the middle. I queried this and was told it was because it the cut of meat Id ordered.Honestly, at this point I just didnt have the energy to argue and wanted to leave, but it was really poor.My friends had pretty decent looking steaks, which is why Im giving 3 stars, otherwise it would be 2 based on that experience.

We booked a steak and grape through mobile call for her birthday and the staff who answered was accommodating and was open for any questions. We reached the place and the staffs welcomed us warmly.The ambiance is really nice because it was a very relaxing place and with the current situation (pandemic), we felt safe because there was no crowd. They observed social distancing.The steak and grape was an absolute win. This comes with steak and one bottle of wine. We started with beetroot salad. It was light and refreshing. Then they served the steak. They cooked the steak the way we wanted it and we were satisfied with it.Price-wise, it was very affordable. Not to mention their accommodating staffs who comes every time just to make sure that we’re enjoying the experience.We enjoyed everything and we will surely come back.

The brunch was awesome!! I loved the food selections! They serve you at your table, you can choose from the menu and staff will happily serve at the table unlimited bread and butter! Also the appetizers are unlimited!! The Fois Gras are outta this world!! You can go for soft drinks package or the Alcohol package!! The main course will be served once and you have a choice of three main plates!! All are very good especially the beef Willington!! The desserts are unlimited too and so delicious, the service is so good, we love the service Bryan provided us during our brunch!! Will definitely go again so soon.

Foundry, Southern Sun hotel, great food and great service I think one of the hidden gems in Abu Dhai.

We had a great Thursday night dinner yesterday at The Foundry. We tested their new concept: surf and turf with our 2 boys. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the restaurant. The food quality is top, quantities are big: 1 shared starters , 1 sample starter plate, 1 main to choose from 4 options with 1 meat and 1 seafood, 1 dessert plate. Everything was fresh and tasted great, especially the meat. Dessert was the perfect quantity at the end of such a big meal.Kids under 12 have exactly the same meal but half price, quantities might be adjusted.Service is 100%: attentive all the way but not too present. The manager came regularly to our table to check on us. A big thank you to our waiter Bryan who was great, nice and attentive.Big thank you to a really nice and thoughtful security guard in the lobby who kindly assisted our two boys to find the restaurant back . A detail that makes a huge difference.

Very good and high class restaurant, I had the brunch for 199 with soft drinks, they have a lot of choices sushi, Seafood, all kind of steaks, tacos, duck and more, the staff are knowledgeable of every thing the serve and their recommendations were excellent.You will not regret the visit

Oh what a find! Went for the Strangest with friends and we had a blast. Turned out to be a plated buffet, everything on the menu is served to you as many times as you want. Service was 5-star, good ambience & the Food quality was fantastic. Pricing was fair too with just under 300Aed for the soft beverage package. I recommend & will certainly go back.Must also mentioned that there was seafood on the menu too as we had Salmon & prawns too.

The place is not bad, we were having iftar with friends. I liked the variety of deserts. It was full while iftar, then slowly became empty. The food was delicious. The waiters were on time helping with our needs.

We had the lemon meringue and Opera cake.THURSDAY BRUNCHWe were so impressed we returned with family in May to try the Thursday Steak Feast - 265 AED soft drinks package per person, (Entertainer applied at 2-4-1)The brunch is table service and not buffet style (unlike other brunches).We are given a menu featuring Starters, Mains and a Dessert.We were told we could order an unlimited amount of whatever we wanted.We ate through the menu but skipped the soup of the day.The food was served individually and not “family style” in the middle.We had the:🍴Shucked oysters - very nice, came with many different accomplishments🍴Beetroot salad - one of my favourites of the night🍴Salmon cake - very nice, it was a little different to other ones I’ve had, more like a quiche consistency inside🍴Wagyu beef carpaccio - everyone said it was good. I only tried a tiny bit.🍴Steaks: we wanted to try all the different types so we were served 4 slices of each and they were presented in order of the men - Sth Africa, Argentina, Australia, NZ🍴Hamour and mussels - I didn’t taste this but family did it was a consistency of what would be in a fish pie🍴Mushroom & truffle risotto - 10/10. It was made the consistency I think is perfect and has a beautiful balance of cheese and truffle. I think my favourite mocktails was one that tasted like sparkling apple juice (I am a fan of appletiser).Service - similar to our first experience, service was incredible. Easy 10/10.I made our reservation via a simple email which was confirmed. I did ask if we could be seated in a certain area which they were able to accommodate on the night. Michelle was our server and ‘Jayathan’ (I cannot remember spelling, so sorry 😞 ), the restaurant manager were both brilliant. They were both attentive but not intrusive. The amazing service did add to our wonderful experience.

Located on the Mezzanine floor of the Southern Sun hotel on Mina street. Went for Friday brunch. Two options, AED 199 unlimited soft drinks, and AED 375, for a wide selection of other drinks. The food is the same for both. And to be fair, the selection was varied and the quality excellent. If you like meat, youll love this restaurant. Staff was very friendly and no request was too much trouble for them. Great value for money, will definitely be coming back...

AWESOME Steaks at the Foundry restaurant Thursday night Steak Feast ... DELICIOUS starters kicks off a fantastic evening.

The foundry is my favourite place to brunch in Abu Dhabi. I have been there 4 times now and every time its fantastic. We usually get served by Bryan or Claire who are both excellent and very friendly. As a whole the entire staff are very welcoming, happy and attentive. Will return soon!

Brunch at the foundry was a very good experience. Food was absolutely excellent, wide variety and very tender fresh cuts of steak. However, the drinks selection needs to be revamped and some music would make for a much more livelier atmosphere. Overall a very good brunch.

Friday brunch is good , but small option for that money which I paid.

If your someone who likes stake, this is NOT the place to be... The rib eye was chewy like my gum.Appetisers were a complete disaster.The only good meat that my wife ordered was the tenderloin and i had to share it with her.Service was good although We ordered the rice risotto and they didnt bring it to her.They brought the sweets while i am still in my main course.Not a place to go back to in my opinion.

The Foundry has reinstated its outstanding brunch buffet and its just as good as pre Covid, if not better. Live musicians provide a retro soundtrack and service as always is friendly and attentive. A big thank you to Suman and Bryan, for looking after us so well. There are many regulars at Foundry, and you can see why they keep coming back.

Words are superfluous ... We visited The Foundry for the wedding anniversary (12) by chance when I called the restaurant the girl told me in a pleasant voice that the restaurant is open from 12 am - 9pm .... We left around 2:30, then we found out that the restaurant is open for lunch from 12-2pm and dinner from 6pm to 9pm!?! After urging the manager (Mr.Adel), they provided us with a table. We specifically went for Steak .... because we got good & positive recommendations. Not only did they provide us with lunch, but they prepared a steak meal in a superb way .... Meal, service, its not enough to give 10 ... I would recommend to everyone that if they want to try the steak, they should definitely go to The Foundry. Thanks especially to the manager Mr. Adele for making our 12 years anniversary special as well as for hospitality and perfect meat.Well definitely come back soon.

Sushi Nights are something to die for. Definitely will return with the family once again this month. 😉

The different breads and flavoured butter idea is amazing, the chef kindly gave us a truffle cappuccino before our starters and wow Ill never forget that taste! The food is simply fabulous and the truffle mash is definitely my favourite! Love sitting on the table on the water such a great atmosphere! Cant wait until our next visit.

The steak was not cooked properly. The environment is not suitable for families. And the seats were not comfortable either

Staff fantastic and attentive unlike many other brunch places. Prices are great. Food delicious apart from singed steak!!!!!!! No need to burn the meat. Deserts are heavenly, cheese board superb apart from the variation in crackers - only one type!!!!! Well worth a visit 7

Prices are along the lines of what youll find at other steak restaurants. However, I didnt find the steak to be as amazing as other places.

It’s my second time here and I like the selection of delicious food they offer. The seafood they serve are fresh and they have a live station that offers different kinds of steak meat and sauces. The rib eye tenderloin was the best, it was soft and tender. And also a good selection of cocktails and wines that goes for your meal. Special thanks to Suman and Jayanath who we’re very friendly and accommodating. It was a great experience and I enjoyed a lot.

Thursday steak feast is amazing. Good vibe and awesome food. All staff are very friendly and Praveen gave us excellent service.

The food is great I have to admit. From the bread to the steak till the desert. Unfortunately I didnt receive joy from Joy and the other lady without any smile in the befinning. But Colinas and the chef both made great jobs. Early bird before 7pm 50%. To sum up not a bad restaurant. Joy and the other lady both had improved at the end.

Solid breakfast buffet with plenty of options. I would recommend getting it included with your stay at Southern Sun, as its a bit difficult to get around Abu Dhabi without a car. Its not as easy to just walk outside and have a bunch of options on this corner of the city.

We went for brunch a week ago with some friends, leaving the kids at home this time. I had medium expectations. Lots of people on Best Bites Abu Dhabi had said its a good one. But you never know. Pricewise its a mid range brunch so i didnt want to expect too much. Wow! What a place. Yes its not as big as some, but the food quality was right up there with the very best. Everything from the fresh salads, the mouthwateringly good Burata, the lobster, oysters and of course the cooked to order steaks. All fantastic. Service was decent. Out waitress Hana was lovely. Efficient and also fun. A couple of other staff seemed very new and were confused by anything I said. Maybe its my accent. I also asked 2 people if I could have a glass of port with my cheese and eventually I got served a cabernet sauvignon. Oh well! One minor annoyance was that the bar closed at 3 30 not 4pm. We went up at 3 45pm to ask for one more beer and they said no. You shouldnt do that, especially as its already 30 mins less than most brunches. All in an excellent brunch. Well be back.

The one thing that spoiled it was that the waiter that I got did not know what he was taking about, actually make things up when he did not know the answer!
