Subtle place to chill and have a good few drinks with the guys. Not a place for a serene dinner. Food is mediocre and dishes are portioned so be careful if you plan on being savvy. Happy hour is great but not the cheapest around. Sport channels all over the place.

If I am in abu dhabi and I do wanna watch some sports event there’s no other choice than Velocity.They have super huge screen and big television panels around the bar and no matter where you’re sitting you’ll be having a fantastic view of those screens.Happy hour is too good and ambiance is nice.Just right in the heart of abu dhabi that’s the reason it is very accessible for everyone no matter where he is in the city. There’s a super cool option on the same floor Kuzbara if you wanna have some buffet as well.

I was there during the World Cup 2018, and catching the game of Belgium vs Brazil in the quarterfinals, the drinks are pretty good and the atmosphere is quite football-fanatic. But people can smoke in the bar, maybe it’s the country or culture. But when you think of it, it’s kinda dangerous to allow people to smoke in a bar/pub.

Great place to spend your Thursdays. Happy hours are stressed till 12 midnight. Cant be happier than that😊. Friendly staff.

Great experience with Velocity for watching the iconic moment of WC 2018. Looking forward to visit again for future football matches.

Smoking inside was not cool.The beer was great, but the salads and burgers were just okaish.Will return for the beer and skip the food part.

We came to velocity to have a couple of drinks during the world cup and our waiter was so arrogant (Ajit). He treated us like trash and was so rude. Ive lived in the UAE for 10 years and have never felt so discriminated against. I really dislike when a business advertises a deal and then treats the customers as if we are trying to take advantage. Velocity advertised a raffle that was obviously not fair and when we pointed it out they got upset as if its something we were tryting to take advantage of. Honestly my husband and I are gold members of Marriott and have never felt so offended by trying to have drink and have a good time. And to top it off, they deleted our first review. I will keep reviewing.

Place is okay...decent drinks and food. Problem I had was their advertisement. They said Free drinks in the World Cup Tournament until the first foul is committed and a raffle every Friday at half time during the second game. Staff had no idea what was going on. We were upstairs and bought 4 beers for the raffle, but our tickets remained upstairs, and not downstairs where the raffle was happening. We were screwed out of the raffle which would of won us a hefty prize. A weak apology was offered and a very rude response for a waiter.This is not acceptable from a Marriott establishment, specially being a platinum rewards member. Their poor advertisement and customer service deserve a thorough review from management. This type of service is not worthy of the Marriott brand.

Typical bar. Sports on TV. Not more expensive than the usual. Pop music. They offer food also but not a wide variety of options. Interiors are nice with the big bar in the middle and the chairs around it.

Very disappointed. the raffles draw is rigged, we were told our 4 tickets were in the draw box downstairs when they were upstairs in a different box the entire time. once confronted, the staff had no idea what was happening and tried to cover up the problem with no avail. we were told our tickets would be put into next weeks raffles draw but itd be useless without our presence anyway. the reality was completely different from the advertisement and is a cheap ploy to con people out of hard earn cash.

Nice pub on the mezzanine floor of the Marriott Downtown in Abu Dhabi. A nice place for hangout and couple of beers after office.

The best part is the quiz which keeps you on toes but no Googling allowed.

Terrible customer service!! A server falsefuly sold us raffle tickets that werent even put in the box for picking and when confronted about it he was extremely dismissive and demeaning. He walked off before we even had a chance to explain what happened. The only words he uttered were Its done now so try your luck next weekwhile he reversed away. Never in my 10 years in the UAE did I have anybody speak to me this way and its ebarassing to have people act this way in a customer service environment. First a last time visit to this establishment

Quality Sports bar. Has about 20 tvs and 2 huge screen up high.Shows most football games and has some great deals during happy hour. If your battery is dying they will even charge it!Some nice food also but not its strong point as this bar can be busy with all the sport.Deffo in top 2 sports bars in Abu Dhabi.Recommended.Thursday evening does a happy hour of 13aed a beer which is cheapest I have seen in AD!!
