One of the biggest mosque in Sharjah, location is great , in Al majaz Park with a unique Islamic design .
Did not enter the mosque but a very beautiful Mosque on the setting of the al Noor Island. Its a very huge mosque. The Adhan and the prayers are well heard around the island as well. It was the beautiful experience while all the birds praised Allah when the prayers were going on. This is one mosque had Arabic and English translation done as the next day was the Friday and all precautions too taken as mosques were being opened for the first time for Jumaa Prayers to the public.
Beautiful place. Amazing architecture. Best place to get peace of mind. If the weather is good.

Al Noor mosque is another beautiful mosque of UAE. It is quite big and magnificent. Both men and women can pray in this masjid. It has been built in Ottoman style and decorated with many calligraphies of verses from Quran. The masjid is simply spectacular and open for tourists during some particular time periods on some particular days when non muslims can also come and visit the place, take photos and learn about this masjid. Me and family prayed salatul Maghreb and fell in love with the recitation so much that we stayed back till salatul Isha and got mesmerized. Subhan Allah. Please dont litter any public places in anywhere in the world#leaveitbetterthanyoufoundit#cleanuptheworld

Sharjah has over 600 Mosques, but the Al Noor Mosque is often regarded as the most famous. The word Noor in Arabic means light. The Al Noor Mosque stands majestically beside the Khalid Lagoon on Buhaira Corniche. The Al Noor Mosque was built by order of the wife of the ruler of Sharjah, her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed al Qassimi, and completed in 2005. It can house 2,200 people in total for prayer which includes 400 in the ladies section and 1,800 in the mens section. The architectural design of Al Noor Mosque has influences of classical Turkish Ottoman architecture, and there are elements that are similar to the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul (also known as the Blue Mosque). The main entrance is flanked on both sides by 2 graceful minarets which soar into the sky at a height of 52 meters. One of the eye catching features of the exterior is the elegant cascading domes, of which there are 34 in total. The central dome is surrounded by several half domes and finally at each corner by four small cupola domes. The interior of the central dome reaches a height of 31.5 meters. The exterior of the mosque is complemented with ornamental repetitive floral cornices around the edge of the roof and the arched doorways and windows. The interior of the domes are highly decorated with a combination of floral, geometric and other interlaced patterns. These arabesque patterns are made up of a number of repeated geometric elements. The prayer hall is a large, but peaceful and serene open space with arches, pillars and collonettes (small columns) which are intrically decorated.Al Noor Mosque is a place of worship open to public and a popular Islamic tourism destination. It is an an iconic landmark along the Sharjah corniche, with cascading domes and two towering minarets in the Ottoman style. The interior of the mosque is etched with intricate calligraphy of verses from the Holy Quran. As a popular Sharjah tourist place, the mosque offers Emirati traditional dress for visitors in the entrance area.Whether you’re visiting the mosque by yourself, in a group or with family, the tour is highly recommended. Guides talk about Islamic culture, Emirati history and heritage and the mosque’s spectacular architecture. At the end of the tour, adults and children also have the opportunity to ask questions. You can take photographs in Al Noor Mosque, so don’t forget to bring your camera. The mosque makes a perfect backdrop for a picture, so take a family photograph here as one of your things to do with kids. Before sunset, visit the Al Noor Island which is just across the water. Here, you can see the famous butterfly garden and contemporary art installations. After the sun sets, take a look at the mosque beautifully lit up to highlight the opulent architecture. Located right along the corniche, it is also one of the popular places to visit in Sharjah at night. Locals often pass by the mosque in the evening en route to one of the many parks in Sharjah. The Al Noor mosque is the first and only mosque open in Sharjah for guided tours by a representative of the Sharjah Centre for Cultural Communication. A public mosque visit is hosted every Monday at 10am and private mosque visits can be arranged on other days except Friday & Saturday Email for private mosque tour.Cameras and video are welcome. We provide all necessary coverings to enter the mosque.
