Quite a disconnect between what the staff say and what is on their website

Bad service, sorry not bad the worst I swear!I have been calling the office since a week without answering, sending mails ( [email protected] ) and what I get is a reply with a message ( do not send mails on this email ) really?? What? Are you playing with us ! Taking our money without results i will continue 20 days waiting my test results and they are mailing me that I didn’t do the exam!!Such a mess, bad service ..i can rate British Council from the lowest 3 offices in the world..try to improve your service0/10

The worst service, Requests are never answered , I have a very simple issue regarding modifying the date of the exam that I registered online which I mistaken in month I thought it’s in July and I registered in August, I contacted them directly after that and they mentioned a charge for that around 270 aed, i accepted that to go forward with issue, emailing and calling promises by phone no with no action from there side.They contacted me after my google review and this what happened!!!!fake promisesUnderestimating client timeswe should report this behavior to at the competent authorities.Worst costomer service, Keep me on waiting for a long time without any understandable answers from the customer service employee , they try to till any thing just to hung up the phones or it look like they count the numbers of ther calls only, moreover rescheduling the IELTS test is not right, as they give promises to the candidates while they all know that British council not able to do the exams on the specific date. they didn’t told me that while I contacted them 4days before the exam they keep tilling by tomorrow you will be able to know you test location details, and this morning i surprised by their email that my exam will rescheduled.

One of the staff whom I met in the counter helped me well with the rescheduling the dates as the exams was suspended due to some reason.She was very helpful and provided me the nearest location and the nearest date.More importantly she helped us with our requirement though they were nearing the office closing time in the evening and handover happening at that time.Keep up the Good Work.Really happy with the service provided.

Ms. Howaida was a great help, she guided me through my registration and was very supportive on behalf of the British council. 100 percent recommend them.

Excellent service in every aspect. I went to get my speaking date fixed since it was on the same date of another exam. I was received immediately, no waiting time, my issue was resolved smoothly. I thank Mr. Tareq he was very professional, flexible and did everything to find a solution that suited me. The place was nice and very comfortable. A welcoming atmosphere.

I gave my IELTS Exam in July 2018, I got very busy afterwards. Since 1st October 2019 I have been following up for my results. I might have called the call center some 100 times. They keep telling me they are escalating the matter to some higher authority, but the results are vain.This is really the worst service I have seen. I finally visit the sharjah BC center and they have no idea about this.For past three weeks i have been following up for my results. I have paid for it.Why is BC NOT GIVING ME MY OWN RESULTS.

Very Cooperative people. I was an Ielts student and it helped me in each and every way possible.

I seriously didnt ask the name of the customer service representative. She was i think filipino with glasses and wearing abaya. She is the nicest person i ever met and she assisted me through the whole process and i thought i was just special but when i ask my colleagues they received the sama treatment from her or even better .....i dont know her name but thumbs up for her and that changed the preception of the council just because of one individual......5 stars for her.

One of the worst places that youd probably deal with in the UAEPiece of advice: If youre unsatisfied with your IELTS report run for Enquiry On Result and there is a BIG chance that youll be rewarded higher points. It happened with me twice and both times i was rewarded higher marks in writing and speaking and theyll refund your EOR fees.Booked my IELTS Academic exam the manual version and only 04 days before the exam they texted me that the exam time and location, which turned to be the same day and 01 hour after my writing exam, means id be tested for about 05 hours in row, first the writing exam and then Ive to rush to another location in SHJ DRAINED AND EXHAUSTED to have my Speaking Test, no common sense at all.Tried to reschedule but they said that Ive to pay 270.00 AED and Ill get to know only after three days, which is the day of my exam itself.Funny thing is that in their own website they recommend to have the writing and speaking tests in two different days which they dont do SINCE THEIR MAIN GOAL IS MORE FAILURES, MORE EXAMS AND MORE PROFIT, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CHEAP!.

Anyone who wishes to learn English language at British Council please do proper inquiry before giving the placement test. Today I was to appear in the placement test for English language course and luckily just by chance I asked the receptionist if the teacher is available for the upper intermediate level. and I was shocked to know when he told me that no teacher is available for upper intermediate plus intermediate level as well. I want to know what is the point of taking placement test then if teacher is not available? Placement test cost is 200aed and it is non refundable. I am really disappointed. This is very misleading on the part of british council staff. plz give proper information to your customers/students.
