Im going to be brutally honest about RAK Academy. First of all, I dont recommend any of your children to do IGCSE or A-level in this school because they do not know how to teach they dont give you enough information they would just teach you the basics. When it comes to the final exams its very challenging and its very different. Teacher mostly confuse the students and they end up failing which is very disappointing.Second, the receptionist or the administration are the worst people they dont treat us students and parents respectfully they dont really care about the students well being. A lot of parents have been complaining about this and no actions has been taken. I wish they would change and respect us like we respect them. Also when we call them they never answer the phone, and when we went to see them face to face they were busy chatting with each other instead of doing their work.Notice that its one of the worst school in RAK (in terms of rating) yet they seem to be the most costly one.Overall, if you want your child to receive a high standard education, I dont recommend this school.

For 9 years I stayed at this school and i dont recommend it. they dont take complaints seriously even when it comes to a student being bullied .the fees are way too high and the staff like the receptionists are very rude and ignorant that dont take their jobs seriously. I dont recommend studying here.

This is a message for parents who wants to register their children in this so called The best school in Ras Al-Khaimah. Lets just start with exams,Firstly, the school disobeys the healthy education rule which the rule suggests that the school gives 2 weeks reminder for an upcoming test or exam so that the students can perform at their best abilities in the exam.Us, we have been given 4 days to study 8 subjects and the exams were extremely crucial exams since our IGCSE was cancelled. Each subject had a topics range from 18-35 topics. These exams were very crucial because it will mark our future. And this so called Academy didnt provide us with enough time. Furthermore, after the exam dates were announced, the school still insisted on us doing 6 lengthy assignments daily with no time to revise and atleast prepare for the short-notice upcoming exams. And this isnt the first time, this has occurred many times. Even when they announced the exams, some heads of our teachers refused to let the teachers to inform us which papers are gonna be in the exam. Basically, English exams was like rolling a dice and predicting which side it will land on, as we werent informed which papers will come first and which paper we have to focus on.Secondly, just 2 months ago we were given exams with two weeks prior announcement. The only thing is, we had 4-6 exams daily for a whole week and when we confronted our head, we heard her saying having the exams in one week is less stressful and that was the claim that was made by our head who is supposed to care for our education, our future, our mental health and also most importantly our health. Not sleeping and revising after midnight was the most affecting thing in my experience.In addition, some teachers, whom i will praise everything they have done for me and my class mates. And those teachers are extremely careful about our education and actually care about it. And I am so grateful having them as my teachers and also as my mentors whom i look up to. Sad thing is, those teachers arent even 1 percent of all the teachers, which just affects us students.In conclusion, the school doesnt care about our future but only care about the green cash. As bad as it sounds, it is still the truth. I have the right to share my experience on a reviews page and my honest opinion.

I have been a student of rak for 9 years now and id say from personal experience dont send ur children here, when it comes to teachers there are a lot of good ones that help u, every step of the way but, there are teachers that straight up dont care. The school itself has a bad vibe including some teachers but like I said some teachers make it feel like home.the learning is ok they do teach things that people wont use in life as some things they teach doesnt go with any jobs, but the things they do teach that will help us in future they teach meh

This school is being paid in millions and yet they are unable to provide their students with the education they deserve mainly because of the lack of investment in teachers as they are really strict for no reason and have not taught anyone effectively as they hire teachers such as unexperienced teachers and teachers who have a horrible background without even checking their backgrounds for safety.

My kids grew up in this school and it provided them a great foundation.

Horrible school where hard working teachers dont get credit and lazy western teachers attend to relax and do the bare minimum, RAKA is built on pure discrimination and only care about their image, attending this school for 9 years now the only thing that I see in this school is them caring about what shoes we wear more than our education, teachers care about their deadline more than their students and overall lazy management that are clueless about the students.

A few good points are: It’s well accessed. And it’s good at developing your child’s reading, listening and writing skills. The best department is the science department. However, the math department is extremely lacking.However, teachers don’t give grades or even give the child positive energy. Students who are in finals years end up graduating with HORRIBLE grades even though they have worked so hard and developed all ascpects of their skills. They get nada in the end, except those who take subjects such as (English,media and literature) But between 7th and 9th grade is the only years where this school is useful. This is a very honest review coming from someone who felt very wronged in this school. So be very caution when to put your child into this school. However, if you want your child to graduate with good grades, I don’t recommend this school at all. It’s good at developing your child at the start but their finishing part is lacking.

From an alumni’s point of view: If you care about your children, please dont send them to this school. The school talks big about being a ‘center of excellence’ but having studied in this school for a majority of my life I can assure you that RAK Academy is far from that. Creds to some of my teachers though.

School aint perfect, the facilities not that well maintained. Though the school has a large playing area and 2 big canteens. School has great potential but its still bad.

Doesnt worth the fee they charge for the kids at all.. now we r shifting our kid to some other better school. Teachers will always take short cuts and the facilities are out-dated..

Good school the teachers are good

This is the only platform that you can express your opinion on the school as management do not listen. So here is a true picture of the school.The teaching is of low standards compared to the UK many teachers would be pulled up for their poor teaching as there is no accountability and channels for complaints. There are a few dedicated teachers that pull there finger out but the majority rely on rote learning and an easy job routine. The BC head is only in the BC because no decent head would work in this school as you are limited as to what yoi can do. The heads play homage to those above and thats all they need: Yes and No people. We had 4 kids in the school for 9 years and there was never any decent pedagogical change in teaching. Arabic was the worst, how could you spend over 1,000 hours of Arabic and still not be able to speak it! This is an Arabic country too. The heads have never changed the systems and the teaching culture. We are now living in the UK and the standard of teaching is drastically better in all senses of the word.The school is basically their to teach none English speaking children English as this is what the locals want and most locals finish in year 11 and move into jobs already prepared for them. Most new teachers start with great enthusiasm then realise they dont have to perform and happily save money and do other personal endeavours and the enthusiasm disappears.Secondary is even worse, discipline of locals, standards of teaching and when it comes to IBs and A levels then they dont know how to do them especially IBs I dont know how they even got accreditation. The final year is terrible, year 12, as you have to put up with locals in the school who do as they wish and most do not even study the final year as they do not need to, therefore the final year of A level and IBs is a disgrace.This is the best of the worst in RAK and unfortunately the only place to send your kids.

Id rather have my children be homeschooled, than have them learn at this so-called academy
