Beautiful place, great selection of food and drinks. We had a sweet waiter who was lovely, caring, and accommodating. We enjoyed our delicious food and beverages at Basilico and would recommend it to anyone! The only reason I’m giving a 4 star is that the place needs a renovation…the wood floor and stairs are rusted. Aside from that an excellent place to dine in!

This was our second visit, we had visited them for Friday brunch couple of years ago and today we had dinner. The food is good but pricey. They’ve a good selection of wines and cocktails and the view from their terrace is lovely.

It is a nice italian restaurant located inside the cove Rotana resort overlooking the sea with a perfect view of the resorts .the restaurant has a nice decoration and they have many selections of wines which makes is a perfect place for a romantic date . The food was excellent as well the service . It might be little bit pricey compared to other Italian restaurants but it worth it . They have live entertainment as there will be a band singing

I’ve never experienced a brunch before, and I heard about Basilico and The Cove Rotana hosting a new type of brunch every Friday with live entertainment. It’s my anniversary weekend so why not, and I’m so happy to have come! Amazing views, lots of fresh lobster, oysters, prawns, sea bass, sushi, pizza, steak.. everything all under one roof and it’s only 199 per person, wow!! Lovely ambience and worth every dirham. It’s 1-4pm every Friday in the hotel restaurant, Ras Al Khaimah.

Basilico Restaurant is a casual fine dining restaurant situated inside Cove Rotana Resort in Ras Al Khaimah... They primarily have Mediterranean cuisine and we went for their Italian dishes... We ordered chicken pasta and pizza. Food quality was good and quantity was not worth the price. We ordered creme brulee, and that we loved... they had 3 flavours of creme brulee - vanilla, pistachio and coffee flavoured. Pistachio was my personal favourite, and again, the quantity was just a spoonful...The ambience was great within the restaurant and customer service require special mention. Although the place is quite expensive, its a great place to celebrate special occasion or enjoy wine and dine parties.Cove always held a special place in my heart for its beautiful architecture and the serene ambience it offers... If you are planning to visit Basilico for lunch, make sure to walk around and enjoy beauty of the resort.

I visit this restaurant from time to time mostly for the risotto its tasty and we dont have many risotto options in town. They have very nice fresh juice mixes. The Paella is acceptable very huge portion. The pizza is excellent light and crisp.

Tried dinner a la cart as well as Friday brunch. One of the favorite spots for the local expats, and a beautiful setting. You do get beach and pool access with the Friday brunch so it’s worth it to spend sometime at the resort if you are visiting

Very limited offerings with this buffet where staff selects the food for you, as you line up and say/point to what you want. The quality of the food is not high either; most of what you find is quite average. Friendly staff but that does not make up for a disappointing experience.

Have been to their brunch twice and it is the best brunch I had in the UAE. They have a small buffet and you can order from the brunch menu as much you want. Almost everything is cooked to order so its fresh. The buffet includes cheese, breads, ceasar salad mixed on the spot, soups, sushi, small selection of appetisers and main dishes, desserts, ice cream, grill station which has shish tawook, steak, kofta, fish, shrimps (can be fried also) and lobster. The menu has mezze, pasta, salads, etc. Then they go around serving pizzas, risotto, fatayer, etc. Have never been to a buffet where everything is delicious except this one. Their servers are so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend the brunch.

Been here about 4 times. Fantastic the first time but has constantly gone down hill since. Food was extremely overpriced and disappointing during the most recent visit, whilst the service seems chaotic and unorganised. Staff seem keen but hesitant or inexperienced. Don’t know what’s happened to this place, maybe the management has changed but I would no longer recommend it. We left half a hour after we arrived.

Ive been many times for brunch and dinner and love it. Food and service fabulous. However, today on National Day you put on the worst singer Ive ever heard. Of all the people in RAK, why her? Next time put a CD on.

It was our first visit here. I would say that meals were super delicious, service was quite professional that deserved tips. Atmosphere was relaxing. All in all we had amazing time there. Also, the view was mesmerizing to get food and calm at the same time. Definitely recommend this place!

Probably the worst experience Ive had at a restaurant. Took a while to actually approach us to take our order. Once we ordered, was told the seafood paella would take around 30 minutes - which i accepted as it was what I really wanted from tbe menu. 30 minutes passed, no drinks had been served and also no food. Was then told my meal had been given to another customer and that the chef was making mine now and would try to be quick. At this point my husband and I are getting pretty annoyed but willing to give it 10 more minutes (our drinks finally arrived in those extra 10 mins). After those 10 minutes were up we asked to cancel the food and get the bill for our drinks. One of the staff said your food will take 15 minutes...which would mean in the hour we had been there we had only received 1 pint of peroni and a glass of diet Pepsi....🤯 expected good things and was left sorely disappointed.

The food was ok, bland mostly. Steak was done correctly, nothing else. Service staff not coordinating with each other. The wrong order of beverages sent to the table. It’s already overpriced plus you get charged for staff mistakes.

Service is good. But the prices are reeeeally high for the food you get, we order pizza that was supposed to have caramelized onions but the onions were far from that, the dough wasn’t cook properly, on the other side we ordered gnocchi which was ok.

Today im staying in cove rotana and had a dinner with a green salad & hammor grilland some deserts, because of hungry i ate the salad eventhough i didnt like it... But the maim course made me crazy the fish was not cooked well with the foul smell and returnedback the food... Im writing this purely based on the experience i had it here...

Id give it zero stars if I could. Tried the place twice with a big group of 6, none of us liked the food. Im honestly very surprised with the ratings. I would honestly not eat there for free.Save your money, go ANYWHERE else.

Drastically overpriced for value. Cheap wine sold as expensive. A quick Google showed 4x-10x expected prices.

Italian restaurant inside the Cove rotana resort. Not a great spread but basic Italian dishes are on the menu. I wouldnt call it a fine dining restaurant but a good place to eat after a long day at the beach. Sit back and savor the views.

The food was not so good, absolutely indifferent waiters. The duck breast was not edible and no one even asked why I didn’t eat it. My husband broke his tooth on a huge piece of sea salt on his steak - no apology or any other reaction from the staff received. Boring music to top it all. Do not recommend at all

Best brunch ! Very nice staff, family friendly, the buffet is excellent! We spend a very good time everytime we go there.. our daughter loves the kids club.. and we get acces to the swimming pool! Our prefered place for brunch.

This restaurant used to be excellent before 3 years when hotel was under german management now took over under arab Syrian management every think are sucks. Only he think how to save money All about cost cutting .

Basically the service is completely different for those who stay in the hotel and visit restaurant with the voucher than for the other guests. You are treated like second class customer by most staff. First it started good as the waitress was really sweet (African lady, unfortunately dont remember her name) and the soup as a starter was tasty. But then everything took too long, nobody cared about us, the main course was like eating school cantina food and the desserts were just ridiculous - the cheapest icecream and something what was supposed to be tiramisu.We even had to remind them to take the finished dishes out of the table because nobody even didnt bother ask us if we dont need anything for like 30 min or longer.Plastic bottle of water also doesnt look good while the others having glass one.I dont know why hotel even offer this experience for stay in guests if they arent welcome at all.Totally wasted evening.
