I would like to thank all the people here who is working continuously and loving the animals that were left behind by heartless people.On my time in there, I love that they are giving the dogs time to go out of their kennels, to walk them. They are properly taken care of.Am happy that I was able to walk one of them and be able to play with them too.You can come and visit them as well and give them some love.Also, for the pet owners they have a park in there which is clean as well. A must place for pet owners. They have a vet clinic as well and a pet shop.I will definitely go back to this place and see again these lovely animals. For sure they will be a good add on.If only the place we are currently on are okay pet friendly, I most likely get Eric the dog I got to walk when I visited.Oh, btw, some of the dogs are trained already.And please, if ever you decided to adopt them please dont throw them away or leave them behind the streets.THEY ARE FAMILY MEMBERS TOO!
Nice and organized place and you may can drop your pets as the best alternative in this uncertain world. I have just dropped 6 kittens today and felt like heart broken 💔. I cant forget this day I surrendered 6 kittens out of 12! I was so comfortable to hear from the official that my kittens shall be given for adaptions after procedures. Procedures little shaking like at first they will be in Isolation for 2 weeks with other new comers and then undergo with medical checkup after that if health is good then will put them in showcase. They will push them in sleep in humane way in case health condition is invulnerable or not recoverable. Everyone expects their loved ones stays and ending with better way. Me and my wife just upset how they will eat, when they will start eating, with whom they will play all these things. We couldnt stop our tears for 3 hours and currently at home after coming back from shelter still missing them like baby. We request to God give us more power to take care pets and nursing them in natural way. Lots of orphans and homeless pets surrounded for whom we need to look for better life. My wife is still crying 😭 as she have had food them and rest of the 6 kittens remains with us. Hope God will grant us as animal lovers 💟🙏.
If you are thinking of adopting a dog or a cat I strongly recommend this beautiful place. All cats, dogs and other animals are extremely well cared. The place is a beautiful big playground where pets can have their social time. A huge pool in the shape of a bone and a canine park are two of the features. They also have a vet and a small store to cover all your needs.Always remember is better to adopt a pet than to buy, specially here. Their fares are extremely affordable and they will guide you through all the adopting experience setting a pet thats the better fit for.you and your family.Im extremely thankful for this place and if I have all the space and money of the world Ill adopt all the dogs i can. (Im allergic to cats)
I love this place , the team works so hard to look after animals ! We adopted our dog and cat there. There is a great dog park . You can come and help out with spending time with shelter dogs and cats there . Also there is an amazing vetinary service and a shop .
It was our very first time to neuter our furr babies.Honestly we were very worried as we even drove more than 1 hour from Dubai to RAK.We were welcomed very well by the Filipina receptionist in the clinic.She is very friendly and calm and approachable.Obviously we didn’t know the process and all but she don’t offer anything just to earn.We really like her.Then we met the vets as well and they are so friendly and calm.We really love the ambience of the place as well.We will surely return and we already recommended the place.Thank you so much for the very great service.💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I adopted my dog Tara (earlier known as Darla) from them almost 2 years ago. Tara still visits the park regulary, it is a lovely open, green space and she loves going there! The doctor and staff at the vet clinic are also always very helpful and they are super responsive, they even respond over texts when I have any concern. The kindest place to adopt from, and they have so many beautiful angels who deserve a home!
First things first, the ambience of the center looked and felt so homely!I love that the pet store is now separated from the clinic area. You can enjoy shopping in the store without disturbing any of the pets waiting to see the veterinarian.The staff are and always have been so friendly and willing to help. I havent been since the lockdown happened so it was good to see everyone. My little poodle princess was treated so well!I was lucky to witness a family come in wanting to adopt. They found out that they need to browse for a pet they would like online. For a moment, they thought that was it. I was so impressed by the giant touch screen available for them to browse for a pet they would like to adopt. They were escorted and were able to meet some dogs. Loved it!The cherry on top was witnessing wildlife center staff pick up the honey badger. That was epic! Absolutely love the way the animal was taken care of and handed to the right people who can make sure its taken care of properly. Bravo!Since I only have a little dog now, I am looking forward to sponsoring kennels here. The receptionist was so kind to tell me the requirements and handed me a form so I could make this happen.If you want quality care for your animals, this is the best place to bring them. Amazing place and we loved the initiative taken by the amazing staff working there. The animals are taken good care of, and they have plenty of space to play around. This is the place to go to if you want a pet 😇
Due to circumstances I had to give up my 12 year old cat - it’s was not an easy decision but we managed to find this place and it looked like a great place and the information provided over the phone seemed reasonable and my family and I were happy to know that our beautiful kitty cat will be living out her days at this beautiful place...Little did we know that wasn’t the case...When we arrived and spoke to the receptionist we were informed once we surrender our rights we would never be able to see or inquiry about our cat and if our cat does not make it through to the adoption process she will be “euthanized humanly”.....Lost for words and sadly out of options I had to leave my cat there not knowing what will become of her...I just pray that it will never come to that and she is placed for adoption but RAWC should have clearly informed us way in advance and not when we got there...If you do choose to do the same, please do your research and make sure you are well informed way in advance before you make any decisions regarding your furry loved one 😭🥺

One cat got hit by a car. I saw it from night to morning outside my workplace. the cat is begging to be rescued. whenever i talk to him hes answering me back. He cant move his half part. It breaks my heart seeing it. I searched on google to find somebody who can help, and this association come and pick it and i feel relieved knowing that they will save the beautiful cat. We went there for vaccination of our dog, the staff are very friendly and accommodating specially daisy. This is the place we trust when it comes to our pets. I love the staff and the facilities.
Kudos to those guys for the good work they do. All animals I saw there looked well taken care of and happy on top of being really friendly. They make ends meet by running a vet clinic, pet hotel and a membership only exercise area - nice, clean and fun at a reasonable price. It even has a dog swimming pool! Altogether: highly recommended.
RAK AWC is awesome and incredible. The amount of hard work, dedication, patience, and specially love for animals from the people in the center are priceless. Adopted our cat from the place and staff was properly guided us about pros and cons of adoption before we made the decision and they were extremely concern for the well being of cat which we were adopting. Best place to do activities with your pets
RAK Animal welfare centre is an NGO. Visited them as part of community service volunteering. The staff take exceptional care of the rescued animals. The dogs and cats are kept clean and vaccinated. The dogs benefit a great deal from being taken for walks as this reduces kennel depression. The cats are waiting to be petted.
They have an excellent and experienced doctor there. We really appreciate her work and are grateful to her for returning our cat back alive. She deserves a special mention. The staffs too were cooperative.

We now have two amazing dogs from hereLana is sensational and has so much love for all the animals and loves finding them their forever home.We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Both of our girls have grown to love each other and are very happy with us. We visit from time to time and they love seeing Lana. And we know Lana loves seeing Jay Jay and Alisha. They even follow Jay jays instagram so we know they care.Keep on doing what your doing guys...

Very clean and organised. They dont let anyone to adopt. They make sure those beauties are going to have good parents. The staffs are nice and experienced. My kids spend almost 2 hours with cats.

I have found a number of abandoned cats and kittens and have been able to take them here for processing and rehoming. The staff are friendly and extremely professional. I cannot recommend them highly enough.There are many cats and dogs looking for loving homes, anyone interested will be welcomed.
So if you try to get a kitten adopted through them and surrender the kitten, you are not entitled to call or ask about the cat any more. You don’t even know if the kitten is adopted and you will never know what happened to the kitten. They will put the kitten to sleep without even informing. Doesn’t matter even if we can get the kitten back if she is not adopted, you will never know anything about the kitten. It’s like throwing a life to streets.What kind of barbaric conditions these people have? How can they operate like this?Stay away from them.

They really do a great job!, saving lives with a great heart and dedication!A few months ago, we requested their help as we spotted a street cat from our neighborhood named Ginger. He had a severe injury in his leg, the team from RAK Animal Welfare Centre came and took Ginger to look after him.They took a great and professional care, even knowing that is a street cat so other centre might not give to much importance, but this team treated him very well, they gave a second opportunity in live to Ginger, providing a full medical treatment and great care until he was fully recovered.The staff and doctors are professional and welcoming, facilities are clean and well mantained and this gives a good impression and confidence to the owners of pets.Thank you again for your outstanding contribution to our society! taking care of valued lives!

We got our foster dog and fell in love with him and adopted him. We reached out to many other organizations, but this one was by far the most professionally run. Lana is great! All the staff are also very prompt and receptive. Facilities are more than adequate for a shelter. Our dog was microchipped and given a thorough examination, since he was rescued after being run over. They covered a lot of expenses when he was a foster. The fact that they still cared for him and were patient with us meant a lot to us. Adoption prices are reasonable compared with other places. In addition, we also returned a foster that didnt work out. They understood and am happy to say found him another home. I have no problem recommending them to serious fosters and potential adopters. And I have! We are looking forward to volunteering in the fall. If and when the time comes well come back for another pup!

This is the best pet welfare center in UAE. I have been charged only 680 AED for my 2 kittens for spaying, neutering and micro-chipping. The girls named Daisy at the reception is damn sweet. She is very generous, humble and kind. In Dubai the prices are very high for all of it. I nearly paid half of the amount compare to Dubai and other emirate. Must go there for ur pets. Even, u may go for an adoption too.The pet salon amd pet food shop is quite expensive compare to other stores, however, it depends on ur pocket, how much u wanna spend.100/100 rating.
Lofty ideals poor service thats what I experiencedRAKAW proved that Roger Caras were only a myth for publicity purpose and lacking genuiness.Reading of their boarding facilities, I called and booked an overnight stay for my 8 year old Golden Retriever.IT was our 25th wedding anniversary and we decided to house our girl there and go for an overnight stay.Boarding confirmed, we set out in the fog, driving from Dubai. We were constantly reminded by the Filipino receptionist over three days to be there by 10.As an enquiry we also checked the dental care option. There was no commitment from us, purely an enquiry!We were in for a shock when on reaching there the receptionist, the vet and another female decided to coerce us into doing the dental treatment along with the additional blood test which was overpriced. Since we refused bcoz we did have the blood tests reports at home and that wasnt on the agenda we could reschedule it to another day.What followed was arm twisting, tactics, emotional blackmail and the worst was yet to come.They refused to board our pet. Such unethical behavior is unbelievable from so called dedicated animal lovers.Not being one to get cowered we left, googled a friendlier place, drove 36 kms back dropped our pretty girl there and proceeded. My pet looked calmer than before as the dogs in RAWAWC placed in a cage barked incessantly creating a noisy din.In 30 years and having canine pets over all these years I have never experienced such callous, insensitive,mercenary behavior. It was a case of psychological abuse and trauma for us and our pet as the Filipino receptionist kept laughing!Im still to fathom what was so funny in tormenting a pet and its owner?I will NEVER go back there. I used to visit them as part of a social serving group years ago when they worked out of sheds.Their success has gone to their head. Further clients plz be warned of this behavior in the interest and peace of yourself and your pet.

We have just adopted a beautiful Saluki cross. The Center was amazing and trusted us with a trial adoption. In a short week she settled down with our other 2 dogs. She was fit, totally house trained and affectionate. Lana did a fantastic job assessing which dog might suit us and pairing her with us. I cannot thank the RAKAWC enough for their professionalism, kindness and care in finding these stray and abandoned dogs and restoring their lives.

Hello team,i am a new fosterer,took advice on fostering before adopting for getting an experience through a referral.I went to Rakawc. I met Lana who was quite polite the 1st time i visited and fostered a puppy dog.i was informed the trial period of 1 week.Since i had no experience before i was a bit scared of the dogs behaviour as she was scared of many things too.I tried to help her by home training,spoke to different people but unfortunately because of covid situation all were through the zoom.But the puppy was still uncomforatble. I thought may be if she meets her friends in Rakawc for sometime she would be fine and familiar with our place too and also she would be comfortable.I went to Rakawc again Lana said if i leave her there again this would be the same situation.As we needed time to think and arrange for her something as she was scared of the taxi/cars too and i not having my own car as of now as i have just completed parking we left her there and their behaviour was different.when i was prepared for the same puppy and done arrangements for her i got to know that she is gone to the other home.Lana told me that usually they donot give puppies for fostering and now the thing was different.I asked her if i could see other puppy which is small in size.i got the reply saying that she has puppies which are big sized.Fair enough.When i went again to Rakawc they showed me only 1 puppy ,Lana was not present,but instructed by her they said,the puppy was not ok with men and said i have only this option given.But i knew someone saying they had more puppies.This confirmed that they didnt like that i took the 1st puppy back to them and didnt wanted me to give any other.they could have told me politely and be transparent rather wasting my time .I havent yet got the puppys foster details on papers till date apart from her medications given.They only judge by peoples face which i think its wrong.Its not only the animals who need the comfort but both the sides. also poor service because Lana didnt even bother to say Welcome when i still thanked her for her help.No transparency and at least to guide what we do too for the new people so that these centres can get more fosterers in future at least if someone cannot adopt.i would personally not recommend Rakawc for foster with my experience.
