Outstanding Turkish food. Visited the one located in the food Court at Festival city. The ambience is very average and the service of the staff below average but it all doesnt matter if the food is great. The consistency of food quality, taste and presentation across all their restaurants is outstanding. A must visit place for anybody who lives Turkish food.

Very bad experience.I have visited Sultan Baba Iskander in Festival City mall and wanted to eat Iskander Kabab. Price was high. 73dhs(20$). Even in some Turkish restaurants you can eat it for a bit cheaper price. What was so bad is attitude of cashier girl. When I was paying for my food, she asked me, you want take away or in the food court? I said here. She asked again, take away or in the food court. I said what do you mean? Why you asking me this and why keep telling food court? You have your own space here, I will seat there. She was looking for her manager and said ok you can. Excuse me, I am paying full amount for your food without drinks even, you don’t offer me your space? ?????? Who are you to treat customers like this? Very bad. I felt so bad and I decided to don’t purchase anything. I will never come back. Better I eat McDonalds, Burger King, KFC and others.

Traditional methods of cooking infused with original recipe is what they have brought to us, Its more of an experience than a restaurant. There are over 30 varieties of Kebaps, apart from pitas, starters, doners, salads and desserts.Did you know the difference between Urfa Kebap and Adana Kebap is the thickness of the skewer and the amount of hot pepper that kebap contains. Urfa Kebap is less spicy and thicker than Adana kebap. Bursa style Iskender Kebap is made using a combination of minced meat and meat chunks. Iskender Kebap is a Doner Kebap but grilled with a charcoal fire, then basted with spicy tomato sauce, doused with goat’s butter and yogurt.For drinks we ordered the Fruit Cocktail and Hot Sulaimani. The juice was refreshing and the Sulaimani had pumped me up to have the rest of the amazing meal.Before getting to the main food, wanted Zayan to settle down, scrolled through the kids menu and ordered the Chicken Shish, which came in with fries, rice, ketchup and mayonnaise. The regular size is sharable between 2 to 3 I would say.There were lots to select from Kebab section, well I went for the Adana Kebab – spicy ground lamb, charboiled on skewer, served with Burgul and onion salad. Burgul was asked for more and the kebab was so tender, loved it.Also the Tavuk Izgara – Grilled Chicken served with rice, french fries and onion salad is a definite recommendation here. Perfect marination and char – grilled, so its healthy.All the above amazing food was ended with their Special Baklava with Ice Cream. Food Review @sultanbabaiskenderSince few days I was craving a lot for Turkish cuisine but being a vegetarian was a little uncertain of where to visit, when finally i came across @sultanbabaiskender and we visited them a few days back to enjoy their Turkish sweets only but to our surprise we ended up relishing so many vegetarian options from salads,dips, pita bread to their drinks.So here what we orderedDrinksAyran - it is a Turkish yogurt drink which came as a complimentary drinkLemonade  was also complimentary and was quite Fresh and refreshingMint Lemon Cooler - I also ordered their mint lemon cooler drink which was again on point with perfect flavors.BreadsBeyaz Peynirli Pide - it is a Boat shaped baked Turkish Pita bread topped with special Turkish white cheese. Very nice, warm, oven fresh bread, was soft and baked perfectly.SoupEzogelin Corba -Turkish lentil soup made with red lentils, rice bulgur, pepper paste and Turkish spices. The soup was served with oven fresh Pita bread.Salads:Mixed Mezze Platter - this platter had hummus, mutebbel, tabbouleh and fattoush salad.Gavurdagi Salatasi - This salad was the best and had all flavours of finely chopped onion, tomato, parsley and walnut topped with olive oil and pomegranate sauce. A must try salad.Desserts:Kunefe: Thin layers of pastry shredded and baked with unsalted cheese. served warm with a light sugar syrup.Dondurmali Havuc Dilimi/ Havuc Baklava with İce cream and pistachios - A multilayered triangle shaped flaky pastry with loads of pistachios and served with ice cream. They are currently serving at four branches across Dubai with the latest one being at Festival Plaza Jebel Ali.Diving straight into the food, I want to start by praising their complimentary fresh Pita Bread that comes with traditional relishes and dips - IT WAS THE BEST! 😍Next, we ordered simple starters which are my Mums favorites:• Hummus and Fattoush - Both were so good! Especially the Fattoush, so fresh, crunchy and flavours on point 👌🏼For the main course, we chose to order:• Pirzola (Lamb Chops) - I really liked the taste, it was well marinated and juicy• Tavuk Adana (Adana Chicken) - omg, the the last time I had this dish was in Turkey last year!! The food was delicious but it was quite expensive for a food court restaurant. My local friend told me that with the price I could have gone fine dining.The lamb which I ordered was very tender and juicy, which earned most of the points. The sauce was rich and the taste was right. I most probably wouldn’t eat there again due to the price.

My visit to Sultan Baba Iskander was an experience, as it was my 1st time having an authentic Turkish cuisine.We were served with complimentary drinks, lemonade, ayran (leban) and their famous Karisik Salata.Karisik salata is a Salad platter with hummus, mutebbel, tabouleh and green salad. All were freshly prepared and tasty.Then we ordered the main dishes, a doner kebab and some lamb chops.Iskendar kebab is doner slices of lamb and beef served on a pita bread, soaked in tomato sauce and hot melted butter. Those were tender and succulent.Pirzola are the Char grilled tender lamb chops served with burgul, rice and onion salad. It was finger licking and delicious.Both the chops and doner kebabs were soft and well cooked.I was so glad to see Turkish food is full of nutritions, they serve you a balanced diet. The portion of meat, vegetables and carbs in all there dishes are appropriate.For Kids we ordered a doner burger. It is a grilled chicken or meat pattie in a bun, and they serve the burger with French fries.Last but not least, we treat our taste buds with Kunefe, it was freshly prepared, and delicious.They also served us Qehwa, when we finished our meal. They not only serve their customers the food, but also win them with their culture and hospitality.

One of the best shawarma I have ever had in my life.Prices are averageHowever, the staff are not the friendliest in Dubai. If they change their staff to more nicer ones and they will definitely be better overall

Wonderful Turkish fine dining restaurant. It is in second floor of Dubai Festival City Mall near food court. Their manu card is full of delicious food items. However their Iskander Mutton Kebab and Adana Kebab are super tasty and yummy. Once a month I am visiting them and enjoy food. Customer service is also very good. Ample of seating arrangement is available however on weekends may be you have to wait a little. I always had fantastic experience.

Im a huge fan of Turkish food and I love the food here. Never disappoints! Its a must visit place whenever a friend is visiting from India and Im taking them around Dubai. I usually order the Iskender Kebab. Its delicious. They serve it with a side of yogurt and its very buttery as well. Maybe not the best idea if youre on a diet, but since thats never the case with me, its my standard order. ;)Regarding service, Ive heard quite a few negative things about this particular branch but I havent personally experienced anything bad here. Theyve always been very friendly and accommodative. I think they have a separate menu for the dine in area and a separate menu for the food court seating area. However, Im not very sure about this.A bit on the higher side, in terms of pricing. But Id say its definitely worth it. Im yet to come across a better place for Turkish food in Dubai. Ive been to some expensive places here that didnt leave me very impressed. I suppose everyone has their own assessment of value for money, but for me this place is quite reasonable for the food served.

A simple but delicious Turkish food. Ordered Iskender and it was one of the best I tried so far, including Turkey. Attractive breakfast options. Haven’t tried, but saw the mouthwatering deserts; definitely will try next time! I only wish the restaurant wasn’t inside the food court..

Whenever we use to cross this famous Jumeirah road we already had this restaurant in our bucket list. We had heard (more assumed) great things about this restaurant. Being Turkish in origin we believed it to be the best in serving bona fide Turkish food and guess what our assumptions were just so right. Last night we visited this place and loved the vibes of the venue. It’s located on Jumeirah street 1 and has indoor and outdoor sitting arrangement. The plus point of this place is that it also has a small play area for kids which means parents can easily eat while kids can have their own fun. Moving towards the food we ordered grilled chicken, chicken shish, lamb chops, fattousch, mixed pita bread, and sultan Baba Iskander special salad with walnuts (really drool worthy), Words just can’t do the justice how delectable the food was. They are a pro in grill. We have tried grill of so many places but their chef has had the best ingredients and great taste hidden in his hands that the perfect recipe of grill touched us completely. Everything was amazing in taste. The pita bread is just like pizza (even more tasty than pizza). In drinks they had fresh juices and soft drinks. We always opt for fresh juices so ordered lemonade and orange juices. They are fresh and good in taste. Everything was spot on. The servers were great and Muhammad who was serving us was dutiful and helpful in suggesting us their specialized items. I’d give this place a 4.5 ⭐️.

We were craving for some turkish food and ended up here in sultan baba iskender🤗 service was quick and were served with some side dishes and hot bread instantly...kids finished it off within secondsWe ordered four main courses and all the dishes were equally good so I can’t tell which one is the bestSo try the below ones ,when you are there next time1. Iskander kebab (dont try chicken iskander- try their authentic meat one only2. Lokma kebab3. Beyti kebab4. Sultan baba kofte5. The service is fast and friendly, the food portion is large , but if you took the big size, the prices is too high, but if you use vouchers 1+1, then it will be ok. The taste of eskender kebab is outstanding, the mixed meze is recommended.

This is like a salt bae restaurant without hurting your pocket. The food is great they serving is massive the taste is superb and the staffs are professional they always smile which is one of the selling point of the restaurant next to food of course. I wish they have their own place and not on the food court.

The worst Turkish food which I ever had. Full oily and no taste at all. The price is unacceptable we paid for 2 people 172 AED in a foodcourt.I am not recommending this restaurant at all and everyone who made a comment with 5 stars don’t know what is the taste of Turkish food.

The decor is absolutely amazing, I liked the deep blue walls and the brick walls, and overall atmosphere. You can really feel the Turkish inspired decor.For drinks, we had fresh lemonade and lemon and mint juice, so refreshing. I tried the Iskender kebab it was really full of flavor and the portions of all the main dishes were quite generous, even though we opted for the regular kebab so we weren’t expecting that.For starters burek and cheese fattayer pizza, really tasty and oven warm.Before the food arrived, we received complimentary pita bread and 3 dipping sauces, and the end of the meal we had complimentary Turkish tea.

So I ordered kebab with pistachio. While ordering I asked if they have any offers, the cashier said no. I asked if they have any traveller pass, the cashier said no. Later I found out they had smiles, when I inquired, the said yes we have but now you ordered and you can not use it. I felt a bit cheated her and when I asked the guy working in there, he said you should tell us and then we will tell you if we have it or not. The food was nice but the behavior unacceptable.

Best Turkish food in uae with immaculate service

Having lived in Turkey for a number of years the family got to enjoy and began to develope a taste for some local flavours. Unfortunately the food we got tonight was nowhere close to that unique experience. We may give this a second chance but not anytime soon.

Ridiculously expensive and completely atrocious. Tried them twice and both times they were terrible. The last time I ordered a chicken donner which was the worst tasting chicken u could ever have. When I asked them to change it for a meat dinner because of how bad it was they took 30 mins to cook the replacement and they gave me half a portion! Save your money please.

First customer on New Year, revised menu.Very subtle changes like the mixed grill was 69 and now its 89. Hows that for subtle ? Not to forget the additional 5% vat.Anyway, coming to the order, iskander kebab & lokma kebab. While we were at it, the waiter served us free hammus and pita bread. Then lemonade and Ayran.The hammus is average in comparison to many Syrian restaurants. Hammus, does it have a turkish origin ? I dont think so.The main courses were good. The lokma kebab was rich in flavor and well buttered and wrapped in thin bread, and served with yoghurt on top.Iskendar kebab could have been made better if the meat shavings were a tad bit more thick. Otherwise, its good.The experience ended with free turkish tea.Wait wait, they also gave us a free dessert, made of semolina with ice cream inside and grated pistachio on top. Simple, yet good. Also the portion of free dessert was quite big as you can see.And yeah nobody bribed me into reviewieng them.I however prefer their jumierah branch.My wife isnt happy with the above review and says that i ought to be thankful for receiving so many free stuff and that experience was good, to which i agree.

Reasonably ok food

I have always been fascinated with Turkey 🇹🇷 and heard a lot about this outlet from my friends & family.I visited their branch in Festival Plaza...I had never been to this mall so it was an experience for me. It was very simple to locate it on google maps and has ample free parking spaces.The place has a spectacular ambience which makes you enjoy the food even more. We started of with lemonade and quickly dived into Hommus, Fattoush and Moutabel along with the hot bread served. The hot bread looked so perfectly shaped, like a balloon , hot & Crispy. Then we moved on to the cheese turkish pide. This was super long and was very difficult to finish. The delight was the Chicken Adana Kebab....I had asked the host to make it well done and boy it was really well done. I loved everything about this kebab and i will return back to try it again.For dessert I had the cheese kunafa which was perfect to end my evening . But how can you end the night without Turkish Tea??The host made sure we had the full experience of Turkish food and I totally enjoyed it.Kudos to the entire team for making sure that the guests not only enjoy the food but enjoy the experience .

I wish i could give no star at all for the horrible experience i had with them.i never visited the branch, but the lady for marketing needs behavior training as she behaves like a maniac, shouting on the phone and disrespecting people. She called me just to shout and making is sound so terrible.her attitude is disappointing and she needs to learn to talk politely as restaurants staff needs to be calm and sober in lieu she throw her tantrums with rudeness.Ms francseco, actually asks customers not to visit the restaurant. well, i believe with that terribly wrong attitude of her nobody is even interested to come in your restaurant.Such a bed gesture is disappointing!!!

Very authentic Turkish taste. We really liked their food at festival city and jumeirah locations.Very casual resturant however the taste is exceptional and better than most of the similar Turkish cuisine resturants in town . I would say that this resturant is underrated and deserves more ratings.

Sultan Baba Iskender is a Turkish dine in restaurant inside the food court of Dubai Festival City Mall. They serve one of the finest tasting Turkish cuisines with a variety of options like Kebabs, Wraps, Pides, Pitas, Salads etc. They have a separate sitting arrangement with respect to Social Distancing. One can enjoy their hospitality and world famous Turkish food in a nice atmosphere. The food tastes like home made dishes & i am sure everyone would enjoy it.Tried their Signature Adana kebab chicken & Adana Kebab wrap Chicken which was a grilled wrap. Superb marinated Chicken, well grilled to perfection.Pirzola Lamb chops has a subtle marination & very soft. Tavuk Chicken Wings is another starter not to be missed.Pide with white cheese is loved by children & Doner wrap Chicken was out of this world. Their juices were sugar free and freshly squeezed Orange juice was superb. Nice place to enjoy good tasty food and value for money compared to the portion size served.

Im changing my rating for a 5/5 to a 1/5. I use stop come here and bring people with me, now while the food quality has remained the same the portions are smaller than before and the prices keep going up ! To eat in a restaurant in the food court and pay 96 aed for a plate of mix grill is just crazy

Their service have dropped alot very unwelcoming staff the quality of food also is not good at all comparing the prices they are charging and they are in the food court but their staff imagine that its a restaurant very disappointed and will never visit them again

Very un polite manager did not allow us to sit because kids were having macdonalds happy meal with them.It is in the food court but strangely the manager is not at all couteous

I am a client since many years. Always passing by during my shopping. Food is very nice as usual. But as of today 07 sept. 2019, there are 2 new Filipinos waiters and the service became awful. Not 1 smile from any of them during all the time, they are rude and running here and there trying to ignore you when you want to call them.When they bring me my plate, I asked for the usual comp mezze, the waiter told me it is only for the main courses, well, I ordered a main course!!!!Maybe I will go to other Turkish places next time ... :(

I bothered to come in person to reserve a table in but the wise waiter decided to give away our table to someone else. A few minutes later I received a call from the same guy (while sitting in the restaurant) asking me if I was coming or not. What an incompetent!Yet still...the food is amazing.

Very expensive without quality. The meat is salty with no taste, eskandar sauce tastes like tomato can.I used to eat at Turkish restaurants, but this one is the worst.On top, the manger of the restaurant is extremely agressive to customers complaints.Not recommended!

Really tasty meats. Ordered the foot long kabab and their version of donor kabab. A little pricey but entertainer coupons make it worth it for sure. Good service too.

Not recommended, rude staff , when asked them to serve us in the food court the reject , i told them we are big family and every one want different foods but it seem they are not deserve to eat on thier restaurants.

Most stingy restaurant ever visited!!! We were there on May 17, 2019. And ordered chicken shawarma plate for around 80 dirham. The plate had few pieces of shawarma on the top and all fries on the bottom. When we complained to the man taking orders, he was rude and tried to confess us there is chicken. Can’t put this bad experience in words!!!

Extremely dissatisfied with the service. They have a seating arrangement next to the food counter without a shutter. Though it’s late, they haven’t stopped selling food but they are not allowing people to sit in the restaurant. Food is expensive and not value for money.

Turkish food is served here.Thin lamb and beef doner slices served on grilled pita bread, topped wth tomato sauce and hot butter with yogurt on the side Very good. speciality dish Iskender Kebab and Lokma Kebab in chicken and ended the meal with cheese kunafa with pistachio ice cream and sulemani chai !
