In the late 1970s Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum had a vision to have three distinctive areas in the Emirate of Dubai. His foresight witnessed the creation of the Jebel Ali Free Zone as the industrial area, Mina Seyahi was to cater to tourist pleasures – hence Mina Seyahi and the central area of Dubai was to serve as the residential locale. In 1988, the Dubai Marine Club was formed to promote watersports in Dubai. Resources were limited at the time and traditional races were organised with the help of volunteers and official partners in the government. In 1990, Mr. Saeed Hareb and Mr. Saif Al Shaffar were given the responsibility to develop traditional as well as modern watersports events. Due to the experience, expertise and family background of his relationship with the sea, Saeed Hareb was appointed Managing Director.

O my God this is one of my favorite and best places in Dubai, how I can forget these sweet memories, which I spent in Dubai.

Lovely hostel and staff! Everything so clean and the place is beautiful! Definitely coming back in the future when I come back in Dubai

Great food and beverage and staff service and atmosphere at times.... parking available and was not too expensive.... location, location, location which provides a marina view and inside and outside dining experiences, but should also be careful of the weather if planning to be outside.... worth a visit. Worth a try one of the days.

Dubai International Marine Club is situated in Mina Seyahi close to Barasti. Its a club, home close to 300 marina berths, a helipad, sailing school and venue facilities. The club hosts a wide range of events every year, including the famous Dubai International Boat Show. It has different kind of water sports events happening there on regular basis.There is free Wi-Fi and parking for members. It has three restaurants & lounges, it has valet car parking.

I visit this place as a speaker at STEP Conference; I ENJOY it.

Awesome place

The place is really clean and organize. You will find yachts were docked here and be able o capture good photos. The place is near Barasti if you are into bars and meeting mates who drinks and like to party on the sand or just lounge in their comfy table. If you are lucky while you are in DIMC, you will find people who paraglide, flying on a jet, and a whole bunch of fireworks nearby.

Usually it host the samsung intercontinental cup between 8 teams which i think it is the best place for it because its clean and you can reach there easily by the mina siyahi tram station!
