Impressed by the presentation and school tour today at GEMS Metropole. Their School Farm is geared to provide students with rich opportunities to connect, learn from and contribute to animal care and understanding. GEMS Metropole staff is consistently open and warm in receiving questions about curriculum and often difficult topics such as ways they address bullying when this arises.

GEMS Metropole is a great school, when you enter with your children you really feel a sense of belonging. The school vibe is exactly as it should be.Communication between teachers and students/parents is great. Management and Leadership team communication could do with some improvement.The school has all the facilities needed, football turf and tennis field, kids and adolescent pool and even a mini farm to educate children on animals and growing fruit and vegetables.

To be honest, I dont like this school at all. Some teachers are very nice, but the quality of students are poor. Many students in this school were being racist and bullied me during year 6, 7, and 8. At the beginning of year 8, there was one boy who was being very RACIST to me. My patient became limit and I ended up doing same thing back to him and told the teacher. However, the teacher was more angry at me just because I have done the same thing. Once a year, the school have a week called anti bullying week (not sure about the proper name). Ill say simply. THIS DOES NOT HELP STUDENTS TO STOP BULLYING. Instead, it only triggers students to annoy others. What is point of saying enough is enough? Teachers does not even punish students well. They just give a lunch break, where pupils just read a book or chat.

Im a student in gems metropole and I recommend anyone who is looking for a school move on to this one! they have fun projects, even when your online and the teachers are friendly, funny, and teach us well thus making me get good grades.! Thanks Gems Metropole!

My children have been attending Metropole for the past three years and I am extremely happy with their progress. Communication between staff and parents is excellent, any concerns are addressed quickly. I found the recent online learning was well above my expectations, the lessons were engaging. I am confident that my children are in a safe environment that challenges them academically.

It’s a good school, but since they launched the online learning system (Phoenix) issues start almost on daily basis and never ending!!!my daughter lost more than 30 lessons, ongoing issues on recorded video & audio lessons you can’t hear nothing and many other, it’s the worst system I ever saw in my life .Hope they take my comment in positive way to improve this platform, so students will focus in there lessons rather than trying to sort out the issue,

What a school campus, lot of outdoor facility, kids recreational areas, play courts , highly tech filled class rooms. Excellent processes and arrangements

School looks good, but looks are deceiving, unfortunately there are so many people that have ruined my life. Teachers are nice but students are really horrible. Students completely ruined my life, completely made me feel like a loser and an idiot. GEMS Founders is clearly much better.

I used to be a student at Gems Metropole for two years. This was the decision that my parents and I have regretted the most in our lives. When I was in the school I was surrounded by a toxic environment in terms and a lot of the teachers weren’t focused and didn’t have control over the students behavior. The environment created in the school made it very difficult for me and other students to work hard and achieve good grades. Overall, I would not recommend any parents to send their children to the school because my bad experience had a big impact in my life.

I would like to thank the parents council for the activities that they are doing in school especially for the book swap. They are encouraging our kids to read more books.You can always find parents council members in school almost everydayThey are always there to help.Their volunteering work is really appreciated.Im very happy from Gems Metropole school. My 3 kids have been studying here for 5 years. Have gone from FS for my youngest to now secondary school for my eldest. The teachers and admin staff here are super friendly and very approachable. Have always found them happy to help and polite In Their conversation. Any problems that I have had have been dealt with professionally and quickly.The kids get a load of support if they need it. Teachers and staff take out time to address the extra needs of the child if he has any.Have also seen how vigilant they are with children’s behavior and any changes are immediately reported and help given to that child.The education system is at par with British schools around Dubai. Great extra curricular activities around school as well as loads offered from outside vendors.Would not change my children’s school till they graduate out of there. Well done Gems Metropole School for achieving high standards of education and sense of community in these few years!

I was shocked when I went through the reviews provided on this website About GEMS Metropole School! Based on my 2 years experience with this school I wouldn’t recommend it at all! Please read through the KHDA report carefully and we will understand the whole story ! The worst quality education, high turnover among teachers and leadership, employing non-native English speakers and claim high fees compare to the quality of education and teachers, poor communication tools and lack of discipline especially in Arabic and Islamic classes ... etc

Ive been here since September 2014 and this school has helped me grow in so many ways. The teachers are very supportive and caring. The school presents its students with countless opportunities to grow and learn.A wholesome experience that I havent previously received in my old schools. I would definitely recommend to Metropole to parents and students :)

My child came home today explaining to her sibling how to properly wash his hands to protect himself from viruses. Teacher has taught her this in school she said. I really appreciate how teachers care about kids and their health. Our Son joined Gems Metropole School 4 years ago and we have not looked back since then.It is easy to talk high, but Gems Metropole walks the talk. The School really cares for the growth and well being of all the children studying in the School.The method of teaching is one of the best we can expect and the individual care being taken by each Teacher is exemplary.We could not have found another better School, which focuses on all round development, and not just academics. My kids have been in this school 4 years. I cant thank the Inclusion team enough for helping me have my son diagnosed and supported as a child of determination. Just now realising how horrible this school was after leaving. Naming and shaming now, coming from a student who ACTUALLY attended and not just some ignorant parent who doesn’t know anything.Pathetic Science Teacher who goes by the name Patricia Mcintyre or “Mrs Trish” to students and teachers. Students who weren’t too familiar with english would often speak their native language to better communicate with class mates. Patricia Mcintyre would tell every single one to “Speak English” as this is an “English Speaking School” or face after school detention/suspension. Sorry but as far as i’m aware we live in the UAE, where the national language is in fact Arabic, oh dear Trish, fact check.What on earth goes through your mind when telling a student this?? A genuine disregard for the feelings of others, how in god’s name was she allowed to teach.This is just one of the hundred stories i have for this hell hole dump.

We are very delighted to be in this school, it has been 2 years since we came from Canada and the school support was really good from the beginning.This includes the inclusion department, very friendly and professional and above all caring with attention to details. They run Asdan program too at very high level with strong support too.

Hello,This is my children’s third year at Gems Metropole.During the COVID-19 we lost our job. We Request transfer certificate and report card because we have to transfer our kid to more affordable school and back to our country. They are not providing any transfer certificate and report till you pay pending payment.Since 3 months I am trying to reach someone who can help us regarding their “relief programme”. They are keep advertising that they helped 30.000 students. Don’t trust this campaigne. They are just advertising nothing else. As parent we have never seen any feedback or any help. They are keep ignoring our request. All management concern is collect the payments.Worst communication process during the crises.We understood that you don’t care your students unique aim is money. Nothing else.I would not recommend any parents to send their children to the school not because of my bad experience had a big impact in my life, we should choose a school where our kids will learn how to Collabrate, share, and communicate.

Good evening, my name is Nasik. I am speaking from the experience I had when I was in the school. I think that all teachers are friendly and nice. They teach well too. There are great activities too. For example, the week without walls gives us skills which we need. When it comes to fees, it is worth every fill you pay. If I could choose which school I want to go to, I would come back to Metropole.

Great, comfortable, community oriented school. I have 2 children attending Gems Metropole, I see that both my children are attaining high levels of education. They are both being challenged academically and building their self images through a well balanced education. Their teachers are always willing to discuss any concerns and are constantly working to ensure the kids are learning in a safe and fun environment. The leadership team work to the best of their abilities to identify and overcome any parent concerns and are constantly working to create a home away from home environment for the chirldren.Also my kids love the school and are always excited about all the fun activities and events that take place almost weekly !! We have a daughter in rising 3s and a son in Y3 and we have been so pleased with their education at MTS. Both children are quite different but both have gained greatly from the school, socially as well as academically, and have made friends for life. We have found it a friendly, welcoming and happy place - a fantastic first step on our childrens educational path.

This is my children’s first year at Gems Metropole. From day one it was evident that my boys have become more interested in school life. The school is relatively new so it might be too early to judge it when it comes to academic evaluation. Nevertheless I feel that my kids are safe and are taken care of, and absolutely no bullying incidents which leaves any mother relieved to know that her child is not exposed to any kind of violence. The two stories parking area inside the school makes it much easier for parents to visit the school. The school is always clean and well organized.

Both my kids are extremely happy at MTS. The school truly creates a positive environment where they foster the love for learning. Happy children together with teachers who care ensures outstanding progress.

I highly appreciate the effort that was done from the school and the teachers on the remote learning but i would like to have the lessons recorded for the kids to revise them again if they missed any information so they can get back to the lesson and revise it.

Staff and teachers are excellent, however the school needs improvement in Arabic and Islamic especially for grade 5 and above.The building facility is great, secured and clean.Sports activities are not well organized, for example there is no football in after school activities for boys which is their favorite game.Engaging students with social activities needs improvement.

The Arabic department is a disaster.My son is in the support class which contains more than 35 students.How can the teacher handle that number without a support teacher while kids keep talking all time.we keep emailing the teacher and head of the department and meeting them .They always promise but they never take actions.Also their book is not for their age

Besides being conveniently located in Motor City where I stay, one of the highlights of this school is the amazing Inclusion Department which offers outstanding support for students with learning difficulties to come upto speed with the remaining students. I would like to personally highlight the Head of Department Ms Tracey Margaret Holliman assisted by Ms Siobhan Scanlan and teachers like Ms Maureen Rau who have already given me exceptional support and always ready to assist as and when the situation arises and so easily approachable which is very important for any parent. I have been a student at this school for five years and it has been an amazing journey, i have both growed and learned so many different things in this school

I would like to guide parents of people of determination to this amazing school that has an a hidden gem : the Inclusion department. My daughter is in year 1 and since we joined MTS in FS1, the inclusion team has been very helpful and flexible in supporting my daughter. Our kids need a loving, friendly, flexible, and an enabling environment to reach their potential, and thats exactly what I found in MTS. My daughter loves going to the school with excitement every day, and that is my true indicator. IEPs are accurately put to cover the development needs, and the team always welcomes changes or suggestions by the parents. Now, as we are in the lockdown and doing the e-learning, I was surprised even more by the tight coordination between the special teacher and the class teacher in adapting the curriculum to fit my daughters needs, tips and resources are provided on how to approach lessons, as well as on how to contain her emotional well being this period. Thank you MTS for making our journey less challenging :)

I go to this school and still do, obviously i hate school but i try to learn as i want a good job in the future, it is incredibly difficult to study in Gems, the teachers will barely listen to you and timetables(especially during COVID)are incredibly bad and there are a bunch of teachers who either dont care or are genuinely just annoying, (what i am about to say happened to me and many others) one time i was going to camp and my parents had payed 1500+ and they didnt let us in school because we were late when we were in a rush as the school told us to get specific things for camp, once i got to school we were 1 min late and they didnt let us in, eventually they let us in, when we left camp(3 days later) they told us to buy torches and many other things but we never used them, i could go on and on, yes i am writing this because it has happened to me and is annoying but there has been way worse things happening to students because of the school.

Student pov : education was acceptable last year and many people have left because of it but many new teachers came and now the education has significantly improved, you make really nice friends that are trustworthy and accepting for who you are. ever since i have joined mts i have been happier and have gotten way better grades, yes there were many complications with the school last year but again it has improved and everybody who left has noticed that and came back eventually, if your child wants to go here let them they have reasons

This is the most unprofessional and backwards school I’ve ever come across. It is a dictatorship, you are not allowed to even complain about their rude staff or any policies! They will bite your head off if you dare complain! I went today to the receptionist, an arab curly hair lady and I wanted to give my child her books. She didn’t smile, was very cold and reluctant to help. She told me they have a delivery system and they will deliver it to her in an hour. I came back after a few mins and told the other reception whom I felt was more friendly to give it.I even expressed my concern for this policy and wanted them to take my complain seriously that what happens if a child forgot their medicine? And that rude curly hair receptionist interfered and told me “they must not forget.” Instead of taking down my complaint and passing it on, she sternly started arguing with me and defending the school policy. It is not about being right or wrong, this is not the professional or even smart way to deal with a client. I told her she’s very rude and then she started to intimidate me! The audacity! She started fighting with me, and I even told her to go attend other people waiting instead of fighting. She told me “I will do what I want!” In the end I decided I’ll just give my child the books when I see her from this prison type of school with such a rude staff.As I was leaving, a group of moms in the council saw me and asked what happened. Little did I know, this is the worst crowd to complain to, naturally they will be biased since they are part of their council, they also started repressing my opinion and concerns for the policy. Also I think that receptionist complained about me to one of her friends from the staff as she approached me and didn’t even ask me what happened, but also started fighting with me.This is the last year my child will attend this school. As soon as it ends, I’m taking them out. If the staff is so rude, can you imagine their teachers? And the worst part is, they stick up and defend each other blindly. I still can’t believe how her friend from the staff followed me to argue on her behalf! Is this your idea of handling a angry customer? You ask your friend from the staff to follow them and start fighting!I’m sorry, but any sensible parent will agree with me, that a policy should make exceptions when it comes to a student’s health in cases involving medicine. Second of all, even if they don’t like what I’m saying, you don’t attack your client when he is voicing his complaint. No professional or logical businesses does that. And publicly fighting with me, and telling me “I will do what I want!” There is a reason many parents are leaving this school. I’m surprised how this school even has such positive reviews, I’m sure they are all fake or maybe they’re all written by these parents who are in the council lol. In reality, I know so many people who left this school and now I know why. There are many better gems school, I advise everyone to consider elsewhere. Metropole school is a disgrace to gems.

Very Very Rude and offensive staff at school as today my daughter just went to school to drop books for her daughter and had argument with lady Receptionist as she stopped her and to our horror receptionist and another 3-4 ladies team up to shout at her and followed her till outside? it was not looking the school establish by the Great Mr Sunny Verkey but look like a fish market. We felt so sorry as it is not only spoiling the reputation of GEMS Education which is respected worldwide but spoiling the name of his owner also whom is famous for his manners? we pay a good amount to get our kids educated and wish to be an mannered education academy but found a very rude and offensive staff, so I dont recommend GEMS for people who want to teach their kids manner and politeness, Its really a very un-professional school and waste of money.

Sincerely do not send your kids here. They are going to fail their gcses. The place smells of gasses and not enough staff to preform entertainment for us bored mothers. Might as well go to wellington and enjoy shows and our kids passing. I really miss my kids buying lunch but that doesnt seem like an option considering the lunch options. My kids are strictly vegan! Discrimination but good luck improving, all schools in Dubai arent currently preforming too well, so not judging harshly. Lots of love mom of ex student here.

I am a mother of two kids; one in FS2 and the other in Year 2. It is the first year for my kids in Dubai schools. At first, I came to MTS because only it was too late and I couldn’t find vacancies in this budget schools except here. I was not excited at first because of the KHDA rating of the school, especially for Arabic and Islamic department that was weak in rating. But now I am happy and never regretted putting them here. The school made a lot of changes. They are really doing their best to improve. They changed the Arabic and Islamic head with a very good qualified person and I can feel the change two weeks after her arrival. Also, the school takes very prompt actions with any concerns raised. So when I just raised my concerns in an email. The school heads Replied and arranged a meeting with me. They reassured me with all my concerns. Moreover, the school is really a happy, safe, friendly and clean environment to leave your kids in. I would recommend it for FS and primary kids. Wish you all the best of luck...

Such a wonderful outstanding school! Proud of all that has been achieved so far by the teachers, parents, leadership – and most importantly the children at this young school with what we think is a very bright future. Subject to al the caveats of a new school, GEMS has nailed my recommendation.

I,m Dr. Maen Al Issa, a General Surgeon who works in Emirates Hospital/Day Surgery & Medical Center (Dubai, Motor City), very near to the school, I would express my satisfaction and admiration of the work done by the school nurse, in the last 2 weeks we received 2 children who had some injuries because of falls during playing - one of them relatively serious I can say - , both cases were referred with a very professional and tidy first aid work done to them which made our work for further assessment and specialized help much easier. I would advice the administration of the school to recognize the nurse in some way. knowing that the first person who deal with an injury plays a very important role towards the final outcome.

It is very good at keeping us busy at our study but the only problem is that in this Remote learning website their are many technical problems such as work not being sent or in a meeting people cannot speak because their Mic is broken so please fix this issue

Dear Parents, if you are looking for a school for your three - years - old please be prepared, that your little one will most probably fail an assessment in case if he will start crying even a bit while being separated with the mother for an assessment. My boy cried a bit, so I had to stay in the assessment room. Once he saw me, he was completely fine, started playing, replied to the teacher when she asked him to call the numbers and colors. I did not participate and stood as far as possible. My boy liked the process and even did want to leave... Despite they promised to contact me within 48 hours, nobody contacted and the admission office even did not answered my calls. As we are in the stress already looking for a school, my husband went there to get the results... The answer was fantastic: our child failed the assessment as he was crying as written there on the paper... So THIS IS ABNORMAL THAT A CHILD IS CRYING WHEN BEING SEPARATED WITH THE MOTHER, SO WE ARE GIVEN ONE MONTH TO PREPARE OUR BOY TO BE MORE INDEPENDENT. Ok, I might not be an experienced mother, could you please explain to me how to train my child do not cry if a stranger takes him out of the parents and the school doesnt want to enrol him? I felt like this school doesnt want to take too much troubles and is looking for easy kids only to get as less work as possible.

Worst school ever my daughter is student in secondary and got stolen her money twice from a cleaner. It was obvious since there was only cleaners inside the toilet during the lesson. the school didnt do anything and saying that its our fault to bring money to school how is that even make sense? Im just so shocked with their attitude they did not even tried to solve the problem neither saying sorry. they were just busy giving an excuse,, also the teachers absent more than a student and scream and shouting at them THIS SCHOOL IS JUST HORRIBLE

My son is in year 11. He joined Gems Metropole in year 10 and since then hes always failing his tests. His teachers are constantly absent and his chemistry teacher has left 3 months ago and since then there has been no replacement . I am very disappointed. I remember my son being so excited to join this school and now every morning hes dreading coming in.

I was shocked when I went to This school I started in year 6 with the nicest teacher she learnt us everything and was very nice. Then when my Mom and Dad found out that they signed me up for year 5 in the middle of the year and they never told us this we went and asked and they said they didn’t have a space in year 5 so they just put me in year 6 and with that teacher I kept getting better and better. When I went to year 7 vaping, bullying and PE teachers were crazing the Arabic department was devastating and every thing else is just computers, computers, computers overall I changed schools to Dubai English Speaking College if your children are in secondary I really recommend going to this school. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL.🥴😬🤮

Weve been in the school since day one and I wouldnt change it, i was thinking of founders last summer because of the budget but unfortunately i didnt feel comfortable there. I couldnt move my kids. The teachers this year were replaced by British teachers and our current principal is someone that works with everything that hes got honestly to improve it. Just like many schools around dubai people left and more joined at the beginning of the year and at the beginning of this term. Ive heard from an arabic teacher that the level of kids from Gems Metropole is better than other schools when it cones to Arabic. The best thing that works with my son specially is that they know how to tailor for your childs level.

I was interested to admit my kids to GEMS Motor city but heated some stories from my friend kids and found not suitable for my kids as hear staff is very rude and offensive teachers shouts at students and my friend son says he is mentally so disturb and told his father to take him off from school and prefer to stay at home instead going to motor city Metropole, it’s really very disappointingUmair

Good and best people

I am a father of a 3 year old who has been attending the school for the last 4-5 months. So far our experience has been great. My son loves the school and always comes back happy. Apart from the academic improvements there has also been improvement in his behavior, speech and general personal task such as brushing, changing clothes etc.On a negative note, we usually get 3-4 emails from the school everyday which does get a little annoying. These emails are usually related to repeated changes in previously scheduled in events, or other general emails from the school. On the other hand there is not as much feed back about my son as I would like.Overall, my wife and I are very happy with the school and will definitely recommend to family and friends.

It has the best atmosphere for my kids in Dubai, if I could rate it 6/5 I would.

After previously complaining alot about the school the school has changed and now is impeccable the support from the teachers are superb and satisfactory, the new parking facilities are fabulous . The English Literacy as well has enhanced by alot. My Child came home and told me how confident he was for his GCSEs. Great school and I advice all to come because I am sure they will get a superior mark then the low standard Acceptable

It is a nice school and my kids are here from past 3 years. I changed my kids school previously 2 times. As i was not satisfied with them though they are considered polpular schools of dubai and have good rating as well. This school is much better as it gives much more importance on personailty development along with academics. I cannt comment abt higher grades as my kids are still in primary. Teachers are not lazy (as mentioned by someone in comment section here) and children constantly learn from videoes played in school. My children s general knowledge has improved a lot. I m not going to change it whtever rating it gets from khda or from any other place. Complaints of parents are heard and are taken care of. Children s creativity enhancement is always in focus by the school. I feel children studying here are happy confident and more creative. School can improve by giving more importance to mathematics. Though currently my both kids are really good in maths but its also bcoz of the support provided from home and a lot of encouragement by the teachers. As far as fee is concerned ...its not a lot in comparison to other schools in dubai. My kids are more deciplined ..expressive ..confident and academically very good ...bcoz of the school.

I wrote this review bcz i am really getting schokedI tried to contact the school so many times and i sent an email to th school but no reply and no respond .FS department attacked by H1N1 and my daughter is there like so many other and its our right to know in which section the virus has been founded and also its our right to know if its okay to send our kids or no so no effort from school i tried first to call them but no one reply and than i sent an email to her teacher and no reply so i reply her with reminder and no reply till after 3 days i got an email that the teacher is absentFor sure its not acceptable ,our kids health is not a joke and after i read some articles about H1N1 Theres some school around the world decide to close for a period to get th school cleanThis review has been sent as per so many parents request and i hope i can get a reply bcz its not fair my daughter is at home since 3 days without reason

Reason I want pick up my kids by taxi car but security doesn’t allow me go inside taxi don’t have parking front school then taxi live out then for next taxi waiting with my kids 27 minutes gets taxi really I affected mine about that authority also security

Worst School .You will just end wasting your money.My daughter went to FS1 last academic year and now I decided to transfer her to another school as I dont want to continue the same mistake. The worst thing is that the teacher and the FS Leader were not too honest as they hide things from parents and they put the kids in front of the screen most of the time which shows how lazy is the teacher rather than using most of the time for creative educational activity.Cant recommend this school to anyone.
