There are no words to express my gratitude and appreciation to my dear friend and vocal coach. It’s been a journey of 3 years and I have come a long way, Lisa has brought me so far, she has believed in me since day one, she understood the level that I was in vocally, and the factors that can be improved. She has guided me with consistent training and advice to make me more aware of the techniques to incorporate to be able to sing healthy and clearly. Lisa, where do I start. The past 5 years I was trying to find this one vocal coach who genuinely teaches the right techniques to help better your voice. I can safely say that I have finally found the best. Started off with 2 Lessons and had to miss the other 2, but when I came back it was as if I never left. I have had such fun re-learning techniques and warm ups, that have been long forgotten since my school days. I have always wanted to get back into singing, but in the ‘correct way’ and I was lucky enough to find a teacher and coach in Lisa, who has the knowledge and skills to train my voice back and develop it further. We have worked on my mixed and middle voice and practising my middle voice exercises are strengthing those muscles! I love singing and feel any week I improve, it is such a joy to hit those notes! I had the opportunity to attend a first trial session with Lisa Hugo, we were around 15 participants, during 3 hours, here, together, for the same objective: improve our public speaking method and gesture.I got to know, after a personal assessment from Lisa, that I had to do something with my breathing and also my energy, I also had to control the level of my voice.I decided to go ahead with 8 private sessions. As of the second session, I could already see that my body, my mindset acknowledged the need to, before I speak, breathe properly. I could experience that in my meeting and I was much more confident.Going along with the sessions, I had different exercises to do and also some homework at home. Really fancy and interesting, it’s pretty much like if you were starting to learn again how to pronounce, move your mouth and express something with conviction! I loved it.My sessions are now coming to an end, and I can say that it all definitely worth it so much! I am totally changed! Anytime I have a meeting or public speaking situation, all these exercises and small steps I learned during the session just come back in my mind and I can use them. I am just used to know.I can only encourage you to try and you will see the benefit of Lisa’s lessons in your daily life!

I have brought my daughter to Lisa, because she had soft nodules and was suffering from huskiness and vocal fatigue. My daughter had seen other therapists, with no real improvement. Lucky for me, I came across Lisa when I was searching the internet for singing coaching. I have been singing professionally since the age of 9. Some of my career highlights include singing for Pope John Paul II, opening for Christina Aguilera in concert, and working with Grammy and Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx.About four years ago, voice nodules were discovered on my throat and although the nodules were in its early stages I noticed a sharp decline in my usual vocal abilities. My range became much smaller, my head voice was completely gone, and I was always hoarse. Making it through one song was a struggle for me and the days of when singing was as easy as talking seemed like a distant memory. Started with Lisa few months ago only and taking one class only per week, but already can say that there is a clear improvement!
