Had an amazing experience visiting AlShindagha museum. Staff were very helpful and the place itself is beautifully designed. So many antique items and overall the place itself is so rich in history and plenty of sections to explore. Four stations with multiple sections within each, and there are a lot of cinematic areas that are well presented and illustrate beautifully. Such an everlasting joy visiting this wonderful place which I will be visiting again.

Slightly confusing mapping since it seems to be a Dubai Creek - Birth of a City. I understand its a part of AlShindagha Museum so all ok. Museum itself is just amazing and should be considered a mandatory stop for every visitor to Dubai. 5stars.

Had an awesome experience. My 7 year old enjoyed a lot and learnt more about the heritage of UAE. Unfortunately, we reached late so couldnt visit all 4 museums we were entitled to in our tickets, but will surely visit soon as we were informed that the plan is to add more museums.Special mention to Miss Zainab who gave us a very informative tour of one of the museums. All security guards were very helpful as well.Ticket Prices:Adults: AED 15 eachChildren: AED 5 eachNote: Museums close at sharp 8 pm and tickets can be purchased till 7 pm only.

The museum is brand new, not very well known so never very crowded. Easily visited in 1 hour and 20 mins, including the house of perfumes which is part of it. The first part, the historical one is very well explained and shown through old photos and old artifacts showcased. I got lucky to get there with my friend while nobody else was, so we got a wonderful guided tour all for ourselves. The museum staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The guides are knowledgeable and very open to questions. The best part for me is the animation, where you sit in a small cinema watching a short documentary on the development of the creek area during the centuries that is done with amazing little special effects, really worth watching. Beautiful experience. The visit is short enough to just capture your attention vividly for the time needed for the visit without ever getting bored. Great place to bring family or friends visiting Dubai. And tickets are so cheap. The website explains everything very well, from what you’ll find, how to reach the area, costs, and where to park. The staff over the phone is also extremely kind and knowledgeable about giving information.

I didn’t expect even that i can like to visit this museum. But honestly i really liked it. There is 2 absolutely different parts but in both of theme you can find something on your taste. Its very modern style and way to show history of city or perfume making. And we paid in autumn 2019 i think or 15 or 25 dirham per person.

A good museum depicting the history of Dubai mainly and how Dubai became the present day modern city that we are seeing.A must visit for those who are interested in knowing the history and culture of Dubai.Consider spending 2-3 hours if love history and like to explore and read everything at a museum usually.Theres a local guide too who runs you through different sections of the museum and explains everything in brief - this is a complimentary service. The combined ticket for Al Shindagha Museum and the Perfume House costs AED 15 only.Try to go on a weekday so that you dont have to encounter any crowds. The museum stays open till 8pm.

Incredible museum seamlessly integrates state of the art interactive technology to bring Dubais history to life. I came on my own for the day, and was a little confused that the name Shindaga Museum does not appear anywhere on the building -- it is instead labeled as a Dubai Creek museum, but turned out its the same place. Friendly staff member Walid gave me a quick tour before letting me loose to enjoy at my own pace (really appreciated this as I did not want to feel rushed). I loved every exhibit, including the multisensory film experience. Highly engaging! I was pleasantly surprised that the 15 AED ticket included admission to the nearby Perfume House as well...fascinating! Great location right on the creek, cafes and snack stands within a short walk.

My favourite history museum in the UAE. Telling the story of beautiful Dubai through a series of houses, each focused on a specific topic, with interactive installations, videos, and more. The museum is extremely affordable, and tickets can be bought at the door with no hassle. Tour guides are available as well and recommended too 😍! There is a beautiful movie that runs at the end of the tour provided in both Arabic and English. This is a great experience to those who are new to the city and those who know it well.

This museum is super new and very modern with lots of video animations and even computer games (lived the one where you pick out your boat and dive for oysters).u2028u2028It’s family friendly and kids would have lots of fun using the interactive activites.u2028u2028At the end of the walk through the museum, there is a 360 degree movie about the history of Dubai.u2028u2028I think it would be fun to have workshops for textile-related history (especially the tradiontal embroidery) and other activities.u2028u2028As the Souk is just across the creek, you can continue there after visiting the museum. Via the ferry boat it is only one stop away.

This was a delightful museum; my two boys aged 8 and 10 really enjoyed themselves. Although extensively about the culture of the Emirati people and the way the Dubai Creek developed during the 20th century, we were able to draw parallels to the way populations, economics and technologies have changed so much of the world; it’s a mini case study of rapid global change. The exhibits are inventive and interactive and engaged us all, and we thank our guide Fatma Sharaf for her kindness in looking after us.

I was very interested in the relationship with Japan since I did not know much about it.
