Excellent service from the point of inquire to the delivery my cargo at the destination. Staff were very helpful and efficient, always answered my emails and phone calls. Constantly putting me at ease. The cargo was packed really well and transported with care. By far the best moving company we have worked with in multiple international and domestic moves. From the very first phone call, Acorn have been super friendly, helpful and flexible, making the whole process a stress-free pleasure. On this occasion we are moving 45 cubic meters of personal goods internationally, the whole team took amazing care of all our items, not just the precious and fragile ones! I would not recommend anybody to use this company, as I have just experienced the most unprofessional experience.I called this company when I needed to ship my belongings from Dubai to the UK, as I was relocating, with quite short notice.When I called, a member of the team was so polite and came the next day to view my items, needing to be shipped. I should have thought it strange that they were available so quickly, when all other companies were fully booked for weeks! I advised the team member that I hadnt shipped anything before and so therefore, wasnt aware of the process but advised him that I wanted to insure my goods. I then scheduled the items to be shipped in just under a week. I was requested to pay half the amount upfront, which I did straight away but never received a contract or receipt, which I thought was strange.When I called multiple insurance companies for a quotation to insure my goods, I was advised that they cannot insure my goods because Acorn are not API registered. I have now learnt that this is a standard registration that all global shipping companies need to make, to show they are following standard procedures for the small cost of $150. If a company does not meet this basic requirements, they cannot become API registered and therefore you cannot insure your goods.When I contacted the representative to ask him about this, he told me that I do not need to insure any of my goods, which was another red flag. When I told him that there was no way I was comfortable with this, he advised he can get me high risk insurance for a cost of 4%, instead of the market standard of 1.5%, of the value of my goods. I told him this price was ridiculously too high. He then said he would refund my money.This left me with one day, to find a new company to ship my goods, which was of course stressful and I didnt even receive an apology.I advised the representative to collect the boxes that had been dropped off and in two weeks he didnt get back to me and then told me to throw them away, but I would be charged for the boxes.Later on, I was then told I would be charged and additonal 250AED for them dropping off the boxes, on top of the cost of the boxes. I lived an 8 minute drive away from their warehouse and said this wasnt fair and not something I agreed to. Also, that I didnt want to cancel shipping my goods, but due to them not being compliant with any insurance company, it wasnt my fault or choice that I couldnt use them.I then started to receive threats, that if I didnt accept this, then I would not receive any of money back.I then asked to speak to the owner or the manager, to which they refused. By this time I was back in the UK and requested I speak to them on the phone, I asked if I could send them a zoom a link and they refused. I then went on linked in and could not find a single employee to contact, no members of the team are on the website and after looking at their UK website, contact number and email address, all of this has been shut down in the UK. It seems this company only has two junior team members in Dubai (one in sales and one as an accountant) which is very worrying.Their last response was that it is not their responsibility to be compliant for insurance purposes, which I found a shocking response. I did receive a refund after numerous messages and six weeks but they did charge me for the boxes and 250 AED in delivery, which in Dubai would have cost 25AED in a taxi let alone it would be an either cheaper cost to them for an internal company driver in Dubai. This is also a cost, I wasnt advised of in the beginning or in a contract before I paid.Please stay clear people and save yourself a lot of stress. I have now reported them to the Dubai government.If the owner or manager does see this, please do contact me.

Excellent service and friendly staff. We moved houses over 2.5days and it was a superbly executed move. We didn’t feel rushed and the movers took care of all our requirements - at times even beyond what we had originally agreed to for no additional charge.Overall I’d rate Acorn Movers as the best value for money company that I have experienced over the past 20years that involved moving 5 times across 4 different countries.Highly recommended 👍

We used Acorn to ship our personal stuff/ belongings from UAE to USA. They were very professional from the start till the end. I have packed my own items as personal choice (they can do it for you if you wish). I needed extra boxes and they delivered to me with tapes and bubble wraps and also picked up the deposit as we couldnt pay online..They stored our boxes in their warehouse in UAE free of charge till we got our booking confirmations and then they shipped them when we gave them the go ahead. Our shipment/boxes were delivered to our USA location only after a week! We highly recommend Acorn shipping company and will definitely use their services in the future. Happy Customer 😊

I have not directly dealt with the service however I was in charge of following up on the delays & issues faced by friends of mine who shipped their belongings overseas and I can confirm the level of professionalism is extremely low. After several attempts to contact I have finally managed to reach someone and I was told that the person who deals with the case is on a tea break and that I will be contacted at the earliest convenience about 15min later. I was never called back and got to know later on that the company did not take full ownership of their mistake and did not cover the full cost of the container to be released and delivered. My friend had to pay an additional 800 $ US and they blocked her from contacting them again.

Thank you very much for making the whole process extremely easy with little effort, especially for me who arent a resident at final destination. Kudos to the whole team involved in 2 countries (Dubai↔ UK).

To make a very long story short... its way pass 6 months since hiring Acorn and i still dont have my Door to door service. Their inefficiency created huge extra charges when my belongings where left at port 50 +days after being ready to clear. They say they couldnt cover those expenses and never finish the job or care to get back to me. I had to pay AGAIN to finally get my things. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY WITH ACORN.

Not a reliable company, they picked up my belongings on August 2020 to be shipped to Argentina and right now it is February 2021 and my belongings are re nowhere to be found.Nobody is answering since a week ago so right now they upgraded to the category of scammers and liers, beware and never ever hire their services.(update)They finally did the payment but they obviously said it was not their fault and refused to pay the extra storage charge that obviously the customs apply day by day of the container being there, it was a total of 50+ days to pay because of Acorn Inefficiency and lack of interest and will to sort out all the obstacles with the third party provider customs agents that they hired by themselves.Till the date 27/02/2021 I still dont have my belongings delivered.Obviously it is all my fault 😂 and they are the best and saints and my review is fake lol.Learn from all the bad reviews is all I can say to people searching for information about this company.

We are loyalty card holders with Acorn because they moved us to & from Dubai twice, 3 times in Dubai and just recently home to Austria. We were initially introduced to them because my company at the time (Atlantis The Palm) retained them as their moving company for staff relocating to Dubai . They are a great team. Fast, efficient and great at packing (not a single breakage on our recent move). Best of all our container arrived in Austria just 5 weeks after departure from Dubai! Highly recommend. Very competitively priced too.

Service was slower than expected - but that was understandable due to effects of Covid. Staff were helpful, friendly and professional, and my items all arrived in the same condition they were packed in.

It is a very professional company, staffs are very nice and professional, excellent work.

I would absolutely recommend against using this company. Our shipment arrived over 5 weeks late after they didnt unload it at port the first time. The clothes which were supposed to be on hangers were all shoved in boxes, and suits have been effectively ruined. An antique chair and table were both broken in the move. Items were disassembled and the parts stored in different boxes with no way to work out where the screws / bolts were. An international move is difficult enough and this has been a massive negative impact on our lives.

Very bad service they managed to break 60% of my kitchen China.. and of course broken cabinets here and there, after they pack your items and take your money they flod you with extra bills out of the blue and they dont dispatch the shipment if they dont get the extra cash .. after delivering items you wait and wait for assembly and barely get your items arranged

We relocated back to the UK and used Acorn Movers. They are very professional and the packing team were brilliant, I would highly recommend them.Muhammad was great with communication and gave us packing boxes and materials beforehand to pack our own personal items. The packing team arrived on time and took care in packing our furniture and belongings. The container was delayed by a week but we were always kept in the loop and advised on arrival dates. I would definitely use this company again if we were to relocate.

We moved back from Dubai to the UK in December 2017 and we used Acorn Removals. We had a 40 foot container, and many requirements and also had a car to import back the UK. My view is that these guys are excellent, far far better than the UK movers we subsequently used when we moved again (moved 6 miles and the broke the TV...it had come 3500miles undamaged).Acorn came to the house before the move and accurately sized and priced the move, contact was quick and easy.On the day of the move the group of guys that came were totally fab, they carefully packed everything and NOTHING was broken when the stuff arrived.Acorn also co-ordinated my car move when in the UK.I would recommend, no issues, I should also add, they were the best priced for the move.

Acorn were the agent for when may stuff arrived from the UK. They kept me informed at each stage and were flexible with the delivery. I knew there would be a custom charge, but this was easily and swiftly dealt with. On the day they arrived early and were very efficient and helpful. They unwrapped everything and even helped move a couple of items that were already in our apartment to accommodate the new stuff.Courteous and well-presented, I would use them again.

I would NOT recommend this company to anyone who is moving abroad.....my experience:One guy came to visit my apartment and told me that all will fit in a 20 foot container which I booked in advance for the date. (they were chasing for the payment), agreeing that i will leave 3 Ikea storage if case its fullwhen they were packing, the supervisor told me that it will not fit in a 20 foot container. i called the salesman and he told me to that i have to take a 40 foot container which i was a bit upset and agreed at the end as I want my stuff to be back in UK.....From 20 to 40 with 3 additional Ikea furniture and a washing machine......such a joke.I called them one week late to see if i can add one more sideboard and the guy said that the container is already full and its not possible.OK till now with all the payment.......All my stuff arrived in UK during Christmas time and the UK office (COS freights) didnt plan the arrival properly, so i have to pay storage and custom. the UK office was trying to charge me for handling which i have already paid in UK. i showed him my receipt and he agreed.....the team came on the 13 to deliver my shipment, we found out that 3 boxes was missing and we still didnt find the items in the list..... their excuses is that they mix some boxes because custom in UAE asked them to check and they didnt even told us.On top of the unprofessional packed boxes (clothes in Kitchen boxes and vice versa), one of the delivery guy (cos freights) stole my UAE credit card and use it for one week in Woking. I didnt realize until I switched my phone on and receive all the messages.....The guy is still freeeeeee......Some of the furniture was broken, unprofessional people sticking the brown tape in my son cot which is difficult to remove nowFrom the payment of the double size container which was also full, i have to pay approximately extra 10,000AED for custom and storage (due to lack of planning from the UK company) and 7,500 AED from the stolen card........We have all email that was sent to Acorn and Cos Freights and photos of the all damaged and broke. Furniture. Also the police case number for the stolen card can be provided for proofHope you take a better decision to go with a professional team even though it’s a little bit expensive......

I am on my 6th month waiting for the delivery of my shipment. I have received a number of promises, with delivery dates - dates I stayed at home waiting. But I still have nothing. And no idea why. To the point I fear it got stolen. Poor communication, lack of management, just a catastrophic experience, not knowing who to contact at this point.

Great Beginning, Poor EndingWe used Acorn in November 209 to ship some furniture from Dubai to our house in Wales, UK. The Acorn team were brilliant - v personable. The packing team came in like a swarm of locusts and slickly packed up our goods.When the shipment arrived in the UK the goods went to their UK partners, Cos freight. Cos, however, said they might not release the goods on time due to payment backlogs from Acorn. Our goods got sorted out and released after some frantic calls.When our belongings arrived in Wales we were SHOCKED at the amount fo damage and breakages to our goods. Whether or not we have insurance is immaterial - the standard of packaging should not have allowed such a high level of breakage.We have made many international and domestic moves and this was unusual. We also found that items were not packed logically, e.g. flower pots packed with kitchenware.Our table top is still missing (!) but Cos are hoping it will turn up.Lesson learnt: Use a major brand name and pay up.Acorn are aware of this but there has been no call from them or offer of compensation. Reputation and word of mouth are important in expat markets - which is why we called them in the first place - so I am surprised and disappointed with Acorn.

I have used Acorn Movers for all of my 4 moves in Dubai and am very happy with their service. Their staff have a great attitude and go beyond the call of duty. I would highly recommend them anytime.

Do not use this company. This is a competitive business with many other operators who can perform at a higher professional level. I have had the same negative experience as others have described, promised shipments when nothing had shipped.

I used Acorn to relocate my whole villas furniture and personal possessions initially to a different property in dubai.A fabulous experience and all went exceptionally well.When my family and I then had to return to the uk, we had no hesitation in using this company again. Similar to our first experience, the whole process went perfectly. I would highly recommend.

Worst possible company, to the point I have had to fill a complaint to the police. I got my belongings packed in August 2019 (yes, we are in February 2020) and I still dont have the shipment delivered in Delhi where I moved in early September. Staff not responding to the phone, promising to call back and never calling back, partners in India even worst (ISS), lots of empty promises.... I have no idea if I will ever get my shipment back

The team were fantastic. Fast and efficient and completely reliable. I relocated from Dubai to China, and it wasn’t a straight forward move, but the service I received from this company was excellent. The price was also very competitive , compared to some of the more “well established” companies on the market. Wonderful experience with Acorn Movers. They supplied all the moving supplies for our move from Ras Al Khaimah to London. They picked up our belongings exactly when they said would (the staff were courteous, respectful and efficient) and had them delivered (safely) to our new home. Avoid this company, go with any other international company even if it costs double. I honestly believe they have zero integrity. Muhammad and Syed either ignore or lie to you.I messaged weekly from the point of collection for 6 weeks with no reply, I was then informed that my belongings had left Dubai a month earlier. However Muhammad refused to let me know the vessel name. I guess so I couldnt track the shipment and find the truth.Once it arrived I could see it departed after I was informed it was on board and had left. So for a month Muhammad and Syed outright lied about it being shipped and on board. They also increased the price after theyve collected it to their warehouse and didnt consider where I wanted it delivered even though I provided all information months before.The sales process starts well and very professional, the house packing is good with a great team but all ends extremely badly.

Starts well. Ends badly. Furniture arrived late. Partially damaged. But the worst part is they actually wash there hands of you and ignore you. Moving is stressful, these guys dont help the situation. From what started off so well lets say I am very disappointed

Excellent service from UK to Abu Dhabi. Cos Freight, the company i booked with in London provided excellent service during my move, communication was good in addition to the team that came to pack our belongings, who worked very hard in to the evening. Their Dubai counterparts, again provided very good communication when my belongings arrived, they dealt and handled my delivery with the care and attention I would expect. Both companies would be well recommended.

Do not use this company! Please read carefully all the negative comments - it’s all true! The moment they take deposit from you they will stop picking up the phone, they will block your contact so that you cannot reach out. They picked up my stuff on 12 July, and till now we don’t know where Is my shipment. I had to file the complaint at DCC, I hope they will help me to return my 2000 euros back.

A NO GO company .After 10 years Dubai we moved back to Germany and It was just a nightmare with this company!!!!We had to wait more than 2 months for our furniture after the container has arrived in Germany and we had to go legally against the to release the container.After all that they refused to deliver the furniture to our house and I had to pay different Company although I had DOOR TO DOOR service.On top my furniture were broken and once I complained i was told the contract was closed without insurance, which I was never informed about.Go better for International company as these people are not Professional.What a disaster experience

Dont use ACORN MOVERS . They are lairs! Damaged my shipment and lost the most valuable item. They dont care about you and your shipment as soon as they receive money in their account. Please use any other shipping company but not horrible ACORN Movers!

Started well in Dubai. We paid in full. (My bad I guess). Once we left Dubai information stopped. I had to chase Acorn and the Swedish partner. Acorn did not release the BL so the container was stuck in port for 10 days!! No information and I had to chase everyday but got nowhere. I was forced to stay in a hotel with my wife and 3 kids. i have now received a bill from the Swedish Partner for storage and penalty charges. All emails to Acorn are unanswered. So I hope this can get me some response.I see you responded with a lie. Please, respond to my emails and pay me my money you crooks.

We experience Acorn movers for local relocation we are extremely happy with their planning and execution packer team was very good and coprative supervisor was very nice and coprative.I realy appreciate to Naveed as supervisor acorn team have done the job very fast with careI recommend acorn all the time.

I used Acorn on 3 occasions. Each time my valuables and belongings arrived safe and sound.The packing and communication was superior to any other storage and intl moving company.Everything was package ans document completed in the most pristine manner.I still have my paper work from the moves and gladly be a referal.Also the contents of my shipment was fragile items. I will be forever grateful to AcornIf i return to dubai first thing i will do is personal thank them.I did notice some false reviews by the competors. What a shame. As this company has been above professional, accomidating and reliable.

We used Acorn movers in February for a local move. Very reactive, professional and reasonably priced.

This company was appalling, I moved from Dubai to UK and was sold a dream that wasnt delivered in reality, missing information on insurance, poor service, broke items in packing and promised to handover to local office which wasnt done, when emailed the operative Muhammad was unhelpful or understanding - I would stay away from this company for any moving

I used Acorn service for relocation from Dubai to Istanbul last year (Feb 2018), professional company, very good service, all items arrived safe and without any damage. they provided also free storage of my goods in their Dubai warehouse for 1 month till I was arranging apartment in Istanbul.

My experience of Acorn...- Only 2 Filipina staff sent with the team, although we signed up with Acorn because the contract mentioned trained Filipina team- Disorganised and rude Supervisor (Naveed)-Untrained, uncooperative and stressed out team (except 4 persons out of 8)...unfit for doing the job- The move was poorly executed. Fragile items were badly wrapped, things were opened and dumped in the wrong places, since the supervisor was constantly making noise about leaving at 5pm (despite starting late and taking breaks).- Furniture was not assembled back/ or put back in place since the team was constantly complaining about being tired- Customer service was polite but was arguing and constantly defending the team, despite not having witnesssed the messI have never had such a bad experience with movers within Dubai...will never recommend the company to anyone

Do not recommend to use this company. Several valuable items were lost or damaged during storage / shipment. We paid for proper loss/damage insurance, but the actual policy was worthless. Of course full payment had to be made in advance, after which they dont care to resolve issues.

I used acron movers for local service within Dubai , their timing and handling was super accurate and professional , the crew was a team of 6 which makes the job very fast ( for 1 bhk it tooks from them around 5 hours)Easy of doing the deal , online payment and agreement facilitating a quick proccess.Pricing is really good and pocket friendly.

Paid for personal effects to be shipped door-to-door from the UK to Dubai, supposedly including full destination services, customs clearance, delivery and unpacking. You can imagine my surprise when the delivery van showed up in Dubai demanding more money, holding my household effects hostage until I paid up. When I asked what the charge was for, and explained that I had paid for a door-to-door service, I was given no explanation and told to just pay up.When I refused, they threatened to take my things away (by that time, my flat screen TV and a few boxes were already laid out on the floor in front of my building) I paid under protest and called to sort out the issue, only to be given conflicting messages as to the reason that I was being charged, with the UK agent claiming it was a customs charge and the local agent here in Dubai saying it was for haulage and transportation. To add insult to injury (literally!) I am now receiving insulting emails from the UK agent accusing me of being, and I quote, aggressive, irrational, obsessive, confrontational and a bully.Stay well away.

PLEASE READ THIS - I am taking time out of my day to tell you DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE. I havent even shipped out my furniture and Its a nightmare.1) Communication is poor and not consistent.2) No alignement amongst each other3) Focused on collecting money not you as a customer.4) Showed up 4 hours late without a call of acknowledgement or apology.5) They still havent recorded my city that I am traveling to....just the country.6) Clueless call centre team - except the packing crew were good.Moving is stressful. It takes a toll on all of us. Moving companies should be supportive and assurimg in their customet service. Acorn is a stressful and unprofessional. I would rather pay the airlines and lose more money than deal with Acorn ever again.God only knows what the outcome of my delivery is....P.s I wouldnt rate them a single star(I had to)

NEVER use this moving company! They rush and are careless with your stuff. They have cut my sofa and broken my brand new Samsung home theatre. I am extremely disappointed and even though they advertise their expertise they behave like amateurs. Horrible service!!! No star would be more accurate!
