Elegance in itself..this mosque situated in the bur Dubai area is one of its kind. architecture is superb..glass carving is superb ...and the maintainence is superb. a religious center started as a school and now is a beautiful tourist attraction. The roof top with 9 huge domes and 45 smaller domes gives it a magnificent appeal. The largest minaret is 70 mtr tall with verses of Koran carved on the ceiling , looks like a light house. The serenity of white colour is unmatched. it can house 1200 worshippers at a time. the lighting at the dusk is just mesmerising. you can forget the world her.one needs to be dressed conservatively to enter the mosque (full sleeves and all) otherwise you can ask for an abaya.drinking water, rest rooms and medical facility is available. you can also get an electric car service if you are not comfortable walking. wheel chairs are also available.one must visit to experience the grandeur.
One worst thing which you need to be careful is that man and woman rows are different in entrance and sometimes man allowed to go inside but womans are not due to short clothes so your partner may leave you and go forward which make you alone and helpless, touriest are not helping nature nobody will allow you to call your partner in this condition you should contact to security persons they must help you to call your partner, it was happened with me so be careful apart from this You need to cover your full body with long clothes if you wearing long clothes from your home so it is good otherwise you need to wear long clothes by themselves they provide you without any charges, Mosque is beautiful and very big from inside also you can take bus if you are coming from dubai within 2 hour,
The Grand Mosque is located between the textile souk and the Dubai Museum close to a small stream in the Bur Dubai area. Originally built in 1900, demolished and built again in 1960, it then underwent a further rebuilding in 1998 .It now holds up to 1,200 worshippers. Non-Muslims are permitted to enter the Mosque daily from Sunday to Thursday from 9am to 1130am for free tours. The mosque is the hub of Dubai’s religious and cultural life. The mosque was originally a school devoted to study of the Quran, known as a kuttab, which welcomed its first students in the year 1900 to learn the Quran by rote. This building was replaced by a new mosque on the same site in 1960, which in turn was itself rebuilt in 1998, closer in style to the original of 1900.This mosque is one of the largest in Dubai and is dominant edifice in the old city. The tallest feature of the mosque is the 70-metre (230 ft) minaret, the tallest in Dubai, which resembles a lighthouse. The sandy-grey walls are generally unadorned, but there is a large Quranic inscription inlaid above the five columns of the entrance facade, which sit at the top of a short flight of six steps. The 45 small and nine larger domes with the tall minaret cover the roof of the Grand Mosque. The wooden windows are fitted with hand-made stained glass and blend well with the old town of Bur Dubai, and its minaret is designed in Anatolian architectural style.Visitors to the mosque are advised to dress conservatively. The mosque has a capacity of up to 1,200 worshippers. Nearest metro station is Al Fahidi.
MASHA ALLAH, ITS A BRAND NEW MASJID, VERY SPECIOUS N CLOSE TO OUR RESIDENCE , VERY BEAUTIFUL MASJID......
The outside of the grand meshid in Bur Dubai is maybe modest, and the corridor of the meshid doesnt promise much more, either. But when you enter the main hall of the mosque you step into an another world. Outside the meshid there is busy Bur Dubai with its endless traffic, uncountable many shops and people from everywhere from the world. But inside the meshid you meet a silent harmony of colours and lights. The colours and details of the praying hall are not maybe many - as for example in Jumeirah meshid - but decisive is rather the wholeness. The designer of the meshids interior decoration has designed a great art work, for the glory of Allah.

Like most of UAE mosquesBeautiful and serene
One of the beautiful Masjid in Bur dubai with warm light and multiple chandelier lights. Eventhough it is in crowded area sound level inside the masjid is very quiet. Most important that i noticed is that air oulets for A/C are hidden and designed like architectural grilles.

The best mosque I have ever visited ❤️. If you are travelling to Dubai , you should make this your first tourist spot to visit and I am for sure ,you will never regret it. The artistic work of each corner of the mosque is soo beautiful that you would never find anything more prettier.
Most beautiful place
Very peaceful atmosphere from outside.....from outside only I can feel the positive vibe...i pray from outside bcois Allah already inside me for to protect me😍
Very dirty place. Smells very bad
We made it there close to mid afternoon and there were still small groups venturing inside to enjoy the ambiance. Was a bit tough battling the sun (visited Mid August) however the Curated Cultural tour that departed every hour on the hour definitely made the visit. We were taken around by our very informative guide Waleed who was an absolute gracious host and had the history of the mosque on his fingertips. It’s beautiful, during the day (couldn’t begin to imagine the experience during the evening) and best of all it was completely FREE! Wonderful experience.
Mashallahhh, Beautiful

They let you dress like an Arab and inside a converted English woman explained us how to pray, why women wears black, cover their face and so on. Interesting to get her point of view on the way Arabs life. If you expect to see a monument as the blue one in Istanbul it isn’t that monumental

Alhamdullilah! everything is good even surrounding is good. Place to bring peace to soul and get relax.Parking issue is more on peak times and prayer time as it is located in bur Dubai(can say its mini india/mini pakistan👌area).Prayer facilities for men and women (Untill last week I was told theres no female prayer room facility and I missed many ,but luckily I discovered it behind of masjid ,to the right side of hindu temple).Parents has to be little more cautious because its located near busy route. Dubai museum is in front and Right side rulers court office.
