If you like and miss having a mini tiffin for breakfast then this is the place for you. Good flavour for the sauces, vadai was not as crunchy as I like but still acceptable and the spice level was just right. Very filling and top off with a hot mini coffee. There is spacing between tables but the ambient lighting was a bit dim. Paid parking nearby. Cost of a meal AED22/person
The place never disappoints. However, lately I feel theres been some compromises being done on the quality or lets say the quantity. How do I put this right, the mini tiffins are my favorite and the tasty mini idly that they serve with it, is both a visual treat and a treat to your taste buds. Guess what, they stopped serving these little idlys and its apparently some sort of a management decision... hmmm!!!The sambars are more like dal curry.. Hey, where are the veggies? But again, I would say..SVB is probably one of the best option for some decent south Indian vegetarian cuisine, specially the #dosas.
Expensive Tamil food , taste of the food is perfect and good.Other Tamil restaurants like ponnuswamy have more options and with less price
Authentic South Indian food, always great taste. You can never go wrong at Saravana.
Bestest place to have dosa !My weekend breakfast
Its a good totally veg option within budget.Good place to change your taste especially when you are heavy meat eater
Me and my family were starving and wanted to have good south Indian veg food. SB was open even after lunch and served us well.
The ambience, the service and the breakfast was far far above all expectations.Thank you for your hospitality.
Very tasty food.. affordable price.
Good Indian vegetarian fare. Despite it looking not so inviting at first glance, on entering, the food is actually very good and of a consistent quality. The best thing is that it is so well priced that you will hardly notice your spend here. If you have never experienced South Indian vegetarian food, this is a good place to start without breaking the bank and you will not be disappointed.
Love the ambience and personalized service. Just like you are eating in india
Saravana Bhavan food is always tasty and healthy. Service is great
Good masala dosa. Didn’t try other dishes from this branch..
Nie restaurant for authentic south indian delicacies.
Liked the hot n crispy wada sambar and a cup of filter coffee at a 5 pm session with friends
My friends family had a very bad experience here two days back. They went for lunch and waited for a long time to get someone attended to take the order. The waiter was not interested in taking order and they were unable to get the food of their choice as the waiters answer was no to their food of choice. Somehow they took the food which was served by the waiter. The restaurant looks dirty and unhygienic. The food served was tasteless as my friend said never to go to this particular restaurant. The staffs were very rude and was not willing to consider the need of the customer. Send the staffs for rehabilitation and teach them basic manners. The customers are not their for the charity from the shop as the attitude of the staffs was much worser than that. They have a plenty in one thing that is the price which is like paying price of gold for rusted iron..
Dosa ok, sambhar tastes like North Indian flavor not like that chennai one which I expected…
Been eating from sarvana bhavan for laat 30 yrs and their quality of food is become very bad .Even basic things like idly , vada , sambar is now waste quality
Went there after a decade with some friends. This is a busy and popular spot and focuses on South Indian (specifically Tamil) food. We went for the breakfast which is till 11:30am. Ghee Roast Masala dosa was the main but for starters we had Idly, Vada and Pongal (love these names!) Havent tried most of these before and I was in for a treat. We finished off with a filtered coffee Tamil style which is heavy on the Chicory. This herb changes the taste a bit and I believe it was originally mixed in because pure coffee is more expensive. Personally I loved it especially since I dont mind pure Chicory coffee either. Highly recommended.
Went to this restaurant for a thali dinner. We had to choose between poories and chapaties. Chose poories to eat with the dishes served. There were a couple of vegetables dishes, yoghurt, sambhar, rasm, buttermilk, halwa etc. Food was hot and tasty but would have preferred to have more vegetable dishes.
We really Disappoint with the service. The food was awesome the Test really we enjoyed I’m a Regular customer for this place. And today I when with my Guest for dinner in oud metha Dubai in Saravanan bhavan Restaurant. We give ordered to the Cashier the The tall black guy.3 vada for starters1 poori1 Onionrava dosa1 rava dosaThe vada we ordered for starters it’s come our table at last and very late. Then we ordered again 2 dosa more to the same guy tall black guy cashier we Waiting for 30minutes it’s not yet come. then we asked one of waiter we ordered 2 dosa then no response at all then after 10 minutes the waiter bring the Check. My self and my guest are really Disappointed.
Saravana bhavan, oud mehta, needs some positive energy induced.I went in for some evening snacks.Borderline good for the snacks. The famous filter coffee was not upto the repute it commands, or just that day maybe...Overall 2.5 out of 5 for Saravana Bhavan, Oud Mehta.
The best for south India.. top favorite are mini tiffin, masala dosa, fresh juices, appam with coconut milk and thali
When it comes to going back to my South Indian roots and enjoying mouthwatering local delicacies, I absolutely love the food at Saravana Bhavan. And this particular branch in Oud Metha is my favorite for the following reasons:1. The ambience here is spacious and inviting. Everything looks super clean and airy.2. Their washroom is large and decent.3. The staff are very friendly, love talking with their customers, and are super jovial. They even give you extra helpings.
One of the best Tamil vegetarian restaurant. This branch is not clean as other branches
We had a very very bad experience here especially the waiters treatment. They took our order 20mins after we reached. They were ignoring us. They dont want customers. There were only 2-3 tables occupied. When requested for thali and palak paneer they went inside and came back saying not available. First when we asked they said it is available and gave a ridiculous smile. In the end we ate whatever was available. But when we were about to pay the bill they were standing next to us all the time to get some tip. For that they didnt have any problem. We wont suggest this restaurant to any of our relatives or friends. We had faced similar situations earlier also but didnt report.
Its losing its charm, long time favs like dosas are losing its charm. Whats lost is found in the price 🤔 skip this one unless you just parked and paid the parking fee for an hour
We had two coffee and two vada which cost 22aed. But we use to have same from near by shop from green city for just 8aed. I do not even want to give star rating 1 for special rainbow milk for are 6.
I went at 10 45pm when the restaurant was closing down and the food served got me and my husband food poisoning we are severely sick and the restaurant is so unhygienic and half of things in the menu are nt even thereKindly please dont go to this not clean and very bad restaurantI regret going here!!!I hope dha takes some action!!!
A South Indians pride. Great food, great prices, great service. You can never go wrong at Saravana Bhavan!
Always consistent. Enjoy the meal listening to beautiful SPB - Illayaraja combo songs.
Very good food . A bit expensive ( for middle class family ) . A masala dosa will cost 11 aed , coffe 7 aed . But food very good
Clean amd hygeine which is very important these days. The staff are good and the service is good. Recommended for trying vegetarian which is their speciality. Mini thali is defenitely a must try.
Highly affordable and tasty Indian Food.We loved the Masala Dosa and Sambar. The North Indian Thali here was also Good.Total of 35 AEDs for both.
Quality food as always; though went around 10.15pm, asked for hot idli and what was given was indeed hot idly and sambar was heated up so much and ended up having blisters in mouth
Thali usually just for lunch, but they made me one at 8 pm. Both north and south style. AED 30.
It has lost its charm. Need to improve there food quality. 😫
Had a worst experience. We had been to Saravana bhavan last week and ordered Idly. The idly was not fresh and they just reheated it and it was hard on top.The staff were rude and asked if they have to bring Live idly(Not sure what that means). And then when they have to take next order they said that only dosa is available .Even the manager is the same.I will never ever visit again.
The food was ok... Not like before...
Love their idly! Staff are extremely helpful.
Absolute CheatersSelling pakodas and calling it crispy fried vegetables for 19 dirham.Bad service
Very bad. Went yesterday and asked for Idiyappam and the server said it isnot available. Then I asked for appam and he said it is not available. So I had no way and ordered chapati. Then i saw Idiyappam being served to another customer. When asked, the server said he is newly joined. Will never go there again
Awesome dosas no doubt, but the chilly parotta is mouth watering and exemptionally yummy 😋
After long time i had meals here, but totally not satisfied with meals, no sambar or rasam Or pulikulambu are good. Very disappointment for the amount paid.Maybe tiffin items are expecting to be good.
Nice place for south Indian cuisines. It has facility of washrooms.
Nice restaurant to have south Indian food
Straightforward food. No complicated decisions to be made
Nice south indian restaurant
Very nice South Indian restaurant food
Good vegetarian restaurant
Never disappoints. Kids luv their Hakka noodles and Masala Dosa. Sad news is that they have stopped serving Thali at dinner after Covid and its only available during lunch.
Love the food there.Highly recommended
The food and hospitality is amazing. And they are consistent! Highly recommended this branch amongst all Saravana Bhavan branches !
The best rava dosa I ever had, what makes it more delicious is the three variety of chutney they give.
A great treat for anyone who loves authentic Tamil dishes. Your taste buds will thank you for visiting this place. Happy dining.
South Indian cuisine... Vegetarian restaurant...Good food
First of all, I forgot to take other food items because the food quality is not even matching with their other outlets.Taste is average, compared to authentic Tamil food...Not a crowded place. You can get enough parking space in just other side of the road.
I wish they focus to clean entrance glasses and other touch points very important
This is an Indian vegetarian restaurant. Not all of their recipes are delicious, but some are really outstanding. I especially like their rice bread and their dips. Im sure you dont be disappointed.
Good south Indian food joint
Great filter coffee and food as always
Good family joint for South Indian cusine. Whether alone or with family its a great place for South Indian cusine..especially for the breakfast items. Service is quick. There is no wheelchair accessible entrance. On Friday it tends to be crowded in the mornings.
Wonderful experience. Our waiter was understanding of our vegan diet and made great suggestions for us to eat. Food was delicious.
Very best Tamil food, need more maintenance
Amazing food. Worlds largest vegetarian chain of restaurants. And this one lives to the hype of it. Very well trained staff and uniform taste of food through out all the branches actoss the world. Best Tea or Coffee you can find in the town.
I visit this place quite often Saravana Bhavan on Oudh Metha, food is great and so is the service. The ambiance is decent too. They have 5 branches in Dubai. It caters Authentic south Indian food. The taste of food was exactly the same as all the other branches. The pricing is on the higher side. Enough Paid Parking around the restaurant.
Authentic southern Indian cuisine, Very famous chain of restaurant across the world. A well known global brand from India. Famous for Quality and taste
Decent food but great location
Tasty food, clean and neat, serving friendly, thank you very much for everyone.
