What can I say probably one of THE BEST evenings so far in Dubai. Food amazing, staff awesome. Be warned its not cheap but you get good quality and value. One downside is the booking slots of 2 hours, would have loved to stay longer at our table and enjoy the food at a relaxed pace .

I had been looking forward to visiting Opa for months now. The ambience is beautiful with vibrant energy. The food is delicious and we loved having the Greek chef visit our table, he was lovely. The reason for my rating is for two reasons: the first is that the waiters are quite pushy for you to order and even when we weren’t done with some items, they took them off our table. The second was we had a group of four guys sitting at the table next to us and they had asked the server to bring them 50 plates that they could break (which is part of the entertainment that Opa does). Every other table only gets 1 plate per person. The issue was that the guys were being so obnoxious, throwing their plates in front of our table and even hitting the waiters feet with them. I asked the waiter why they got so many plates as they were disturbing all of the tables around them and he said it was because they were regulars. It was just disappointing.Other than that, I would have really enjoyed our first experience!

I am very skeptic about instagram popular places in Dubai, I came in with very limited expectations, God was I wrong. The food was amazing, the vibe was great and the service was outstanding thanks to Rodrigo, he helped us pick a variety of dishes while not over ordering. The guy had a smile on him from the moment we arrived till we left, great to have postive staff like that. This is one of the few places where the vibe is so good that when the main dishes were a bit late, we didnt mind at all as everyone was having fun while enjoying the appetizers.Tip: try to go for the late night slot (after 10), so you can get to stay till the place shutdown.

It is definitely not a date place but a very joyful restaurant to visit with friends. I came twice already, once for Brunch and once for dinner. And I think the Brunch is super fun. Very affordable prices special compare to the offer. A lot of food: dips, starters cold and hot, mains and desserts and non-stop drinks. All these together with the breaking plates and greek dances. I wish they would have a terrace; it would be amazing during the wintertime. Been twice already, and I am sure I will be coming back again and again.

Second time to go to OPA and I continue to like this place. Super good food. Literally better than most of the Greek restaurants I visited in Greece!Very nice ambiance, the employees of opa deliver a show. My personal favorite was the Chef. He’s very friendly and he would most probably approach your table, talk to him. Ask about his name and what it means, he will very proudly talk about that.Opa is worth the visit

Trendy and elegant Greek restaurant. Beautiful decor and ambience. Life music, Greek dances and breaking of plates adds to the liveliness of this place. Food is very good and some of the items like the baklava is innovative. The problem with this restaurant is with the reservation system. It is one of the very few restaurants in Dubai that have has a two slots reservation system; 7.30 and 10. Accordingly when you book for the 7:30 pm slot they give you the table for only two hours. Now this is fine as long as the restaurant is able to provide efficient service. The problem is that the service is slow and sometimes there is a big gap between serving the different courses. This means that you are an out of your two hours before you can finish your meal!Another problem with this restaurant is that they are catered for large groups and they don’t have smaller tables for two or three guests. Hence when you try to book for 2 guests even days in advance you will be told that there is no availability. This is not true because if you call for the same day but for a larger group you will be able to obtain a table. Their reservation receptionists are not helpful at all and are to some extent rude. It is pity because the restaurant itself is a good one.

We had a nice dinner with my friends on Friday night. We arrived a bit earlier for our reservation and been escorted to the lounge area. Once the table was ready, we have been moved to the restaurant. As we were super hungry, we ordered a lot of food, and to be honest, everything was just delicious. Our first dish - Opa hummus, was presented by the chef. I think it is a very cool touch. I like that they have many sharing options, so we were able to try almost everything that we ordered. Greek dance was super cool and fun. We broke so many plates. I really recommend this place, and it has everything you are looking for: delicious food, fun entertainment, friendly and helpful staff, and a welcoming ambiance. I think this place is 10 out of 10, definitely!

Good food. Excellent ambiance and welcoming. Lower rating is solely because of the waiters. All of them are slow, forgetful, pushy, borderline rude, and not good at serving. First waiter tried to push us to buy a bottle of champagne, second waiter forgot one of our appetisers and served wine too late we had already started our food by then, third waiter had to always be reminded constantly to top up our wine glasses (as our bottle was not kept near the table), second waiter took my husbands plate while he was still eating, third waiter didnt have the sense to change our plates between courses (after seafood and moving onto red meat), third waiter refused to order our first choice dessert because he said it takes too long and he needed us off the table (despite having a good 20 min), then second waiter handed my husband the credit card machine and asked him to enter amount for service. Amateur waiting staff that need training or changing.

We visited Opa for my partners birthday. To start with, getting to speak to someone for booking is difficult. The switchboard has 8/9 different options, rather confusing. Once able to speak with someone, Sandra was friendly and helpful. Upon entry, the atmosphere was great, and the team were friendly, especially the main chef. Food was nice and the menu choice was varied. The reason for the 3-star rating is the service was rushed. We were told that we had a 2 hour window, from 7:30pm. We had been served 3 courses in record time, 1 hour and 15 minutes. The waiter was trying to remove dishes whilst not finished and the courses were served immediately after the previous course was cleared. It really felt they had one eye on the clock for their next seating. We felt very rushed and for this reason, I would be hesitant to return to this place again.

Where do I begin :) well, first impression - one of the most beautiful restaurants in Dubai. Such a romantic environment from the entrance to the bathrooms. Flora everywhere. The decor is so awesome. Really loved it. The appetizers we had were all perfect (manti, Greek Salad, calamari). I wish we tried more though but my friends prefer safer picks. The mains - these were the only things we had some issues with, which is a big deal since, well, they’re the mains. The lobster orzo my friend and I both ordered I felt was silly in ratio of little lobster to a great amount of orzo which could feed 3 people. My friend felt the same way (we each ordered our own and I wish we hadn’t). Now since they use the shell of the lobster for presentation it makes it seem like a lot but as soon as they remove it you don’t really have much and then you’re left with eating orzo, which I also felt was overly drenched in the sauce. I did like that there were capers and olives though, and the overall taste was good. My other friend had some type of kofta main which she claimed was too salty, but I didn’t try it so can’t say so for myself. The other two mains were said to be good (pasta and lamb chops). Then we had the baklava sundae for dessert, which was really really tasty and special and a great birthday treat for my friend. The service was good but some of the waiters seemed fed up and were also rushing us, even initially when we were ordering. Thus, I’d give Opa 3.75-4 stars.

Opa -A greek themed restaurant located at fairmont hotel is a must try,if you want to explore greek cuisine with a fabulous greek ambiance.Their interiors are just wow.We were truly stunned with the beautiful greek inspired interiors, loved each and every corner of Opa.You need to visit this place to witness the real beauty of this restaurant.Experienced a lovely dinner hereAs pre starters,we had Opa Hummus.Hummus topped with crispy lamb, pine nuts and olive oil was a great starter. We wiped it clean with their freshly baked breads. For starters we had Lamb Kebab & Opa Gyros.Tender & juicy lamb kebab served with a spicy and flavorful tomato sauce and yoghurt was just amazing. We also had Opa Gyros. Its a must try here.Tiny Gyros were full of flavors and highly enjoyable. For mains we tried Chicken Kontosiuvli & Tiger prawn orzo.Chicken Kontosiuvli is basically chicken slow cooked to perfection, served with potato chips, greens and garlic dip.1 of this can be generously shared by 2.Grilled tiger prawns and rice was served in a rich tomato based gravy and was delish. We ended our meal with a simple and tasty greek yogurt panacotta.Opa also offers varieties of cocktails and mocktails for the diners from their live bar.Being non alcoholics,we tried one of their signature mocktail called Komposta. Its a refreshing mix of homemade pear komposta, rosemary, pomegranate and grapefruit. We had a memorable dinner at Opa.Mr Spiros was very friendly and took good care of us throughout the dinner.Thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious greek spread. We also enjoyed the greek music and greek tradition of smashing plates along.

I had my dinning experience at Opa on Friday night. My reservation was at 8 PM. They couldnt manage to give my my table before 8:20 PM - Which started with a disappointment. While booking on the phone, I have requested not be placed in the middle of the venue but rather on the sides, something that they didnt take into consideration & had to accept. Our waiter, Tanos, came to our table without saying hi or anything welcoming started his conversation with Still or Sparkling water? - Immediately I knew we wont be enjoying our night. Then I had to take it in a humorous way & asked him how are you, hows your night... Something he then realized & laughed about to realize what an unwelcoming approach he took. When finished with ordering, although receiving our order super fast, I realized that they are rushing everything in order to make space for the second seating. An approach that left us uncomfortable during the whole experience, constantly asking us if we wanted desert, looking at us to leave & everything was rush rush.Apparently, the staff are friendly but also very good friends with each other. This can be taken as a good point as the bond is strong, but reflected negatively on us, as they didnt have limits or boundaries with their customers & thought everyones their friends and they can say or do whatever they want. Moreover, while seated, the cleaning lady bumped into my legs twice & one runner, while moving a chair from one place to another, hit my left shoulder with the chair, causing a bruise. Finally, when ordering our desert & asking for a special message on it, the message was super small & came without a candle because Wishing someone a good luck in their new journey doesnt require a candle apparently.I have even more words to express, but dont think the team nor restaurant deserves more from my time & will leave it here. Good Luck in enjoying the Opa Experience!

Opa restaurant is located in the Fairmont Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road (Trade Center) and provides an insight into Greek culture and cuisine. As you exit the elevator you step out to welcoming floral décor and Santorini vibes, you would have no idea you were in the Middle East! The hostess instantly seated us and within minutes we were greeted by our waitress who recommended some dishes to us from the menu. We decided to try some options we havent eaten before and was blown away by the taste and quality of the food.We started with the beef carpaccio, flaming saganaki & the Opa manti. All three dishes were delicious, you literally couldnt fault them. Mouth-wateringly tasty and (for two people) we finished all three – thats how good they were. The flaming saganaki didnt disappoint and was indeed flame grilled at the table by the waitress - the serving of this was entertainment in itself.Following the starter (at around 8:30pm) we were handed 2 x plates each for the entertainment show. At first, we didnt know what to expect, but when the show started we had a lot of fun smashing plates to some Greek music. The whole restaurant was enjoying themselves and getting involved it was a great atmosphere. After the entertainment, the mains arrived. We opted for the peinirli cheese and the kleftiko both outstanding and would highly recommend (although we were both a little full from the starters) we still managed to finish them (but sadly meant we couldnt try one of their delicious desserts). The restaurant was booming and had a great vibe (even on a Sunday evening when we visited). The necessary precautions were taken into place re: social distancing, hand sanitizer etc and we felt very safe.Everywhere was beautiful and no small detail went un-noticed. The ladies bathrooms were beautifully decorated and you felt like you was on vacation.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Opa and cant wait to visit again very soon.Instagram: @journeywithuss

OPA at Fairmont Dubai is the most beautiful restaurant I’ve visited. The moment I stepped out of the elevator, I was greeted by the lush green décor. The entire area from the entrance to the reception desk was fully covered and decorated with bougainvillea flowers. The main hall area looked amazing in white and blue color theme - It was magical!OPA is a Greek restaurant that serves scrumptious food. The word OPA is an expression for celebration of life. As part of Greek culture, the word OPA is said during breaking of plates in restaurants to praise the performers. This Greek traditional show of smashing plates to the floor was fun and thrilling to watch. All guests participated in smashing the plates on the floor. People then gathered up and joined shoulders to dance with the music – the entire hall was filled with immense energy and smiles on faces.OPA was not just fun but also great in terms of food quality. Every dish was full of flavor and well presented. I was served with a bread with Spicy Feta DIP, Greek Salad, Lamb Kebab, Peinirli Cheese, Fried Calamari, Kleftiko and Grilled Baby Chicken. The succulent lamb kebabs here are famous for a reason, they were unbelievably juicy and tender. I loved both the main course dishes, specially the chicken, it is definitely a must try. They prepared a spectacular massive Baklava Sundae which turned all eyes towards my table. It was so artistically prepared that I didn’t even want to ruin it. The base cup was filled with pistachio cream, pieces of baklava and icecream with topping of caramel sauce and smashed pistachio. It was heavenly and enough for at least three persons. It made my evening at OPA even more special.Fantastic food, amazing service and incredible fun-filled show made my dining experience at OPA one of the best in Dubai

The Elevator is a joy killer too. So please get your act together, this is Dubai and customers have rights. I decided to write to you instead of complain to authorities for being so badly treated in front of other guest.Only Positive, The gentleman with white hair going around the table with smile and presenting my Cake. All the best for future.

OMG, the place is wow. I came with my fiance to celebrate my birthday. When we just entered, it felt like you had been teleported to Greece. Everything is green around you. We had a beautiful lady showing us the table. As we had 2 hours only we started to order right away. Food and drinks were coming very quickly. I recommend trying TARTARE, CALAMARI KALAMAKI, PEINIRLI CHEESE WITH TRUFFLE, WAGYU SOUVLAKI, AND BOUGATSA. I think this is the most delicious food. I was amazed when they started to sing and presented a dessert with a Happy Birthday message. It was so sweet. Thank you to all the staff who made it happen, and Opa from now on place number one for me.

Happy times, nice atmosphere, experiences Greek staff, so not expect to eat Souvlaki or Gyros rather fine food. Enjoyed the Greek dance abs breaking of plates, on the downside once the show started people started gathering , it was a bit chaotic, wish it was well organized and people stayed at their tables. However it was a nice experience, the Resturant decoration looks like a Greek Garden and we loved it.

The service was the best I have experienced in a long time. The staff is very friendly, all of them. They ask you nicely if they make the next move. They explained the concept of throwing the plate and when it shall be done.I usually start with the ambience of the location, but the service was on a different level, so I had to. Anyways, the place is beautiful, so many flowers. There is a bench you can sit on to take photos with your friends or loved ones. The dishes were served as requested, appetisers then main course then dessert; although our sever asked us if we wanted whatever is ready, but we refused that. Their dishes really make you full easily, so you better come with nothing in your stomach since the lunch (we ate around 20h) and we were a group of five ladies. We ordered OPA Hummus, for the dips. It came with bread on the side. Some said it was a bit spicy, but I could not feel it. Anyways, it tasted well, and the lamb added more beauty to the flavour for the tongue. For the salad, we ordered OPA Salad. It was light, tasteful and the dressing was special but familiar. As for the hot starters, we ordered Grilled Cypriot Haloumi. It was soft, easy to chew and enjoyable. Also, we ordered the Grilled Octopus. I love octopus a lot and I am glad I was not disappointed in this dish. The salad surrounding it, made it more delightful, but even alone, the octopus was excellent. We ordered, for the main course, Lobster Orzo (150). It was enough for us, maybe because we ordered a lot of appetisers (also, with this dish, we shared with four of us only). The orzo, which is a pasta that looks like rice, was very delicious. Having it with the lobster was superb. I loved the lobster alone, not going to deny that, but having them both together sent me to heaven. Finally, we had the OPA Baklava Sundae, for the dessert. Honestly, I did not like it a lot. I think it is the reason I could not give this restaurant five-stars-rating in zomato. It had its charms but it did not fulfil my needs; I wouldn’t recommend anyone to get it, but it was good for the image. Also, I must mention breaking the plates and the dance is an important part to not be missed. Try to stay there till they dance and dance with them.
