Very tasty place! lets take a look at the fact that it is located in the mercato mall, respectively, there is a parking lot, which is very convenient. The place is very bright and comfortable.All precautions in connection with covid-19 are observed (there are dampers between tables and a distance), so there is a small childrens corner for children to play.The interior is very pleasant - a lot of light and greenery.Very nice and friendly staff and fast service.The choice of dishes is quite large - starting from breakfasts, bowls, salads,main courses (portions are really big) and desserts and ending with drinks.They are very tasty chicken and ribs (meat lovers will appreciate it).Prices are not higher than in other cafes and restaurants!

Went to this place twice and have experienced a good service as well as friendly vibe. In addition, the food was nice love the salmon Benedict more than the lumber jack, but still thought it was good. The food overall was great. The coffee in the other hand was fine.. even though they added caramel it still wasn’t something I would go for again. You need to go and try the salmon Benedict.

A hidden little gem in marcato, wouldnt have thought of coming to this mall for a good Friday morning breakfast. The food is actually very good, with a wide variety on the menu. The atmosphere and settings are very nice with a lot of natural light. The only reason I took a star off was that was a little pricey, but apart from that top marks.

We went in there specifically as we heard and have seen it busy. The ambience is cool and staff are friendly. But food should have been much more than what it is today in terms of its presentation, quantity and even taste. I expected the food to be awesome and well presented for a place like slab. We ordered Korean wings and veggie burger. The Korean wings were nothing extra ordinary for a place like slab. It should have been presented well, with some accompaniments. Veggie burger , the party was yummy but not fulfilling. The mushroom and nuts were tasty but it could have had some flavors and aroma. Bun that they used was not baked well and was having flora raw taste. The presentation again was not at all eye catching. Will I go here often? certainly not for the food. But for a coffee to enjoy the ambience, yes I will.

The service is great at times but very slow and they don’t come back to you when you tell them to wait « a few minutes ». They leave and never look back.The food is good but not wow, especially not for the price. It’s too expensive. The lettuce ok side isn’t of good quality. The salmon is fine-ish. The bread is wonderful. I actually loved it. Also, I liked their egg. It was made almost the perfect degree that I want.The ambience of the place is lovely, chill.No napkins or tissues on the table though.

We went today for lunch and I truly loved it. Food was extra delicious. Amazing burger, tasty fries and healthy kale salad. Love how big is a menu choice. Staff is very friendly and attentive, especially our waitress was extremely nice (female and her name starts with F but I didn’t note it). Atmosphere at Slab was amazing as well. A real gem!Mercato Mall is already a cool place and Slab has a cool aesthetic itself. It is like an upmarket but quite chilled place.The service was quick and the waitress was very on-the-ball. She knew ingredients to any of the foods we asked about, she proactively asked for any allergies, she told us what is spicy and how the meat is best served etc. She really was very professional.The food was truly some of the best I’ve had in Dubai. I have some of the Korean wings and the texture was very crispy and has an instant taste which evolves and you eat it.The sandwiches are just excellent. They have combined some incredible flavours, and again, perfect texture as they have toasted the read just right so you get crispy textures on the outside but it is soft enough on the inside to condense when you bite. Genius cooking!The drinks are really good too. I had a mock tail which was a great discovery of flavours that had a Christmas vibe. The coffee had really nice cocoa notes to it even though we had a cappuccino and a latte you could really get the bean’s flavour.2 drinks, 2 coffees, 2 big sandwiches, triple cooked fries, chicken wings, chocolate mousse and another dessert which was their signature and made in-house all came to around AED 365 which I think is just excellent value for the whole experience we had.You have to go here 100% you will not be disappointed.

Once again, the best breakfast to have in Dubai. The truffle cheese scrambled eggs with toasted bread and grilled haloomi toast. 10/10Cant wait to get back again and try their lunch or dinner.

Staff was unprofessional.. we wanted to have a seat but the only table available was reserved.. we decided to go around the mall for 30-40min hoping the table will be available by then (especially that we had an infant and wanted a nice quite place to sit).. came back the table was still reserved and no one showed up and they refused to give us the table! Others complained about the situation.. The manager didn’t bother to solve the matter. Very disappointing.

Excellent food and service

Had a wonderful dinner at Slab in La Mer. The ambience is calm and cozy. The service was great and the food was really tasty. Menu options were very intriguing and I believe thats what makes the Slab standout on its own. I had the Beef Tataki, the Duck Confit, and also the Pumpkin Dip. All of which were really tasty. Overall such a great experience dinning at Slab, and I would love to visit this place again. The tasty food, the great service and the decoration of the place all add up for a really wonderful and memorable experience.

I just absolutely love this place! The food is really great made from good quality ingredients and it’s super tasty - remember to look out for their specials. And I really love that they serve tap water. And the staff is always super friendly and helpful with recommendations.

Came for dinner and tried the heavier/fastfood options on the menu. Corn truffle ravioli was out of this world and so was the burger. The burger was pretty heavy but the flavors and textures were on point - might even be the best we’ve had in Dubai. Would definitely come again if I want to indulge or to try some of the lighter summer dishes which we didnt get to try. Food is made well and it’s nice to see the chefs working in the open kitchen. Prices are mid-range and the menu changes often depending on ingredients.

Potato was slightly too salty but with other combination (like salad or so) it cold be nice. Wish I could try more stuff. Prices were also reasonable for Dubai. Highly recommended!

I finally got around to visiting Slab, and it was worth the wait. This is easily one of the best non-licensed restaurants in the city. We ordered off of the lunch and breakfast menu, and everything was spectacular. A new favorite for sure, Im already looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

Very good quality cooking. Salmon was amazing, especially the emulsion that comes with it. Short ribs as well was great. We came came as heard the chef was good and were not disappointed, would never expect this quality in a mall.The only downfall was for the steak frites, on the picture, the beef seemed marbled, but it was just a regular piece.

Finally made it here for a quick breakfast out stop so this review doesn’t take into account some of the more impressive lunch and dinner options I caught a glimpse of on the menu.HIGHLIGHTS:- THE SHAKSHUKA. Cooked and presented with finesse. It’s one of the best shakshukas I’ve had the pleasure of eating in Dubai. The sauce achieves a subtle measure of signature spice in a mellow sauce not over cooked with the bite of soft onions and sweet tomatoes. Three poached eggs a Lee cooked to a soft smooth yolk that keeps a custard-like smooth texture that enriched the scarlet tomato based sauce to soothe the spice further. The three eggs are poaching perfection making this a rich and filling dish. The slices of grilled buttered toast make the dish that much more filling providing sponges to soak up the delicious tomato sauce brightened with a touch of olive oil. This is the shakshuka by which others will be judged in Dubai. How could it be improved? Offer the option of halloumi or melting feta. But it doesn’t need it.- THE SERVICE. Sharp, approachable, friendly, organised and charming without being intrusive.I would gladly come back here for lunch or dinner with pleasure!

So this place is kind of a mixed bag.First of all let me get this out of the way the staff are nice as can be polite and knowledgeable , the restaurant is modern and clean.The food however , this is where it becomes interesting . See they’re using very good ingredients that taste amazing but then they fall on execution.The fires for example had garlic chips on the rosemary salted well but were soggy and limp !The octopus tender flavorful but was grossly over saltedAnd the steak has An amazing black garlic side and mushrooms that were tasty but the steak was cut too thin that when you ask for it medium it doesn’t have time to develop a crust and was chewyAnd over all food was overpriced200 AED for what I just mentioned and a small bottle of waterOver all this place has potential seriously does but they need to tweak they’re cookery.

Worth to visit. There are a lot of restaurants in this place, Slab is a Western and Arabic fusion restaurant, pricing and foods are satisfied, restaurant interior design and atmosphere are modern and comfortable.

Well thats what SLAB stands for and this restaurant serves the healthy and scrumptious sharing platters and desserts...The location of the restaurant is right at the entrance of North LA Mer and gives a splendid view of the small pond at the entrance..Well this is all that we hoggd and never felt guilty specially with the desserts...Chips n Dips - the three types of potatoes, crisp and tempting..Potato Tostones - a perfect substitution for the regular French fries..Charred Corn - the taste is heavenly and loved it..Hierloom Tomatoes - the taste of basil gives you the healthy vibes..Kale Salad - healthy booster and certainly required after all the junk intakes..Smoked beef jam - slowly cooked for 16hrs to make the perfect dish and trust me this was the best dish of this evening and a must try..KFC chicken wings - Soaked with relishing sauce and was loved by all 4 of us..Spicy Noodles - the chicken sausage mince was nice, good portioned and tasty..Tres Leches - Dessert with high calories soaked in milk and topped with berries..Insanity Pie - soft and sweet indulgence of milk toffees served with ice cream, the best and delicious dessert and topped my list of best desserts in Dubai..Mocktails - Pineapple with chilly, strawberry and Blueberry.. First of all,It is a nice resto/cafe and difinitely enjoyable during winter in the Dubai.The staff serving us knew the menu and explained to us the different dishes they serve.The menu is quite small like most of the restaurants at La Mer but you cannot go wrong on the food quality at Slab.The duck confit was too salty but the octopus leg was delicious. A must to try is the Yuzu cocktail and the lemongrass drink which were refreshing and tasty.Overall, it is a nice place to eat if you want something light. Recommended only during winter season.

This place was really different, its a quick cafe and restaurant but it serves fine dining style food, all tge dishes were great, maybe the spicy tuna was dry and needed sauce or thinner base! The salad was good but it had too much dressing with the fata cheese, I think they should mix it with less dressing and put cheese on top!My favourite was the truffle chips, it was spot on, the lamb ribs were excellent, the risotto was good dont add any chicken if they tell you.The staff were friendly and helpful.Highly recommend, I am given 4* because of the salad and the tuna and because the staff wanted me to order more then what we should.

My boy ate octopus there for the first time. It must have been super cause he had a second serving.I know these chefs work. They are doing something amazing with food in Slab. Compliment to the chefs. And you gotta try it. The second reason it is a five star from me...it is definitely the service.I was assisted by Liz and Angela. They both have high end but friendly customer service. The other lady with an amazing smile who explained the menu was genuine too. The atmosphere is modern but doesnt make you feel uncomfortable. There is an open kitchen hence you see all the actions. The chefs are down to earth no grumpiness. Our food came within 10 minutes. I would recommend the Rib eye steak with black garlic and smoke lamb rib and of course the fried octopus.As for la mer, though it is beautiful I did spend 20 min walking in the sun trying to figure out where Slab was. The parking staff should be able to locate and suggest where to park or how long we are to walk. That is a bit of the downside.but after such a nice experience I totally forgotten the frustrating walk in the sun.Now that I know its exact location I will defo come back again.
