Merika Cafe is a Hungarian concept and offers an assortment of Hungarian sweets and savoury items. It is located right by the water in Bluewaters Island, perfect place to spend a nice evening with a cup of coffee.We ordered a Tropika chimney cake (also known as Kurtoskalacs). It had Nutella on the inside and coconut on the outside. We ordered a two scoop Gelato in a freshly baked cone. Everything was pretty good, but a tad bit pricey in my opinion.

Just try the Zaatar & cheese chimney ... it’s absolutely delicious, you’ll enjoy it.It’s only 27 AED.Staff was super nice (thanks Zessy for the recommendation and for the service she was so sweet).I will come back to try the sweet ones 🥰.

If there are six stars I would give them to Merika, everything is perfect, the views are amazing, sitting outside in winter is very nice. The guy who helped us Jawad is super polite, friendly and smiling all the time. Their signature dessert is so delicious, and the coffee there is one of the best I had, it beats the specialized coffee shops

I tried their white tea and cake with ice cream.The tea is recommended but the sweet is too big. You need to share it with 5 at least. The Zafran ice cream is the best. I didn’t like pistachio flavor. Tea was served without candles so it will get cold quickly.The setting area is nice during winter area.

Have been there with a Hungarian to check out their Kürtőskalács (Chimney cake). Traditionally they are eaten Sith sugar only and the dough has a different and more pronounced taste back home. However they do a good job and it was nice. They also go all-in with ice team or other fillings, which for me are too sweet but definitely present well. Nice view over JBR from the terrace. Worth passing by for a quick snack after beach day.

The best place if blue waters (if you don’t like the crowd) the ambiance, the view, and of course... the coffee!!! They have also very nice desserts.Highly recommended

Nice concept, new to the country. Location is great and the prices are very reasonable, especially if the tea is free.Cake taste could be better done compared to the other countries I have tried. Maybe you can get it to be crunchier from the outside, you will definitely make a hit. My feeling for the ice cream is mixed, the hazelnut was great but the vanilla not so so.Its worth a try, but not for me to go back again.

I love chimney cakes and had visited Merika multiple times. The reason for the 1 star rating is that I expect from the money I am paying they are all freshly done infront of me if needed. Fooling your clients with ready made cakes is unacceptable and clearly affects the image of your brand. Unfortunately one of your staff members thinks he can fool ppl the way he wants. Order placed @9:45 pm today and for AED 131. If the management would like to check.Additionally i accepted to pay an extra AED 17 as one of the cakes i requested extra walnuts. Seriously!! Never i experienced cheap service. Used to be a nice place but doubt to come back again.Hire the right ppl for the right job as clearly the ones you hired in the evening shift dont show they care. Its all about service and not only the product.Disappointed to the bones.

Love the coffee. The combination of chimney cakes, gelato and coffee is just amazing. The prices are also very reasonable. Would definitely visit again if I’m ever in Dubai.
