Wow, over $300 for nothing. We stayed at Mandarin Oriental and they recommend this company & said one of the best, when my husband and I arrived we had to ask them to take us back to the hotel. The concierge at Mandarin Oriental pretty much scammed us with this tour. Lesson learned, do not ever trust hotels, all they care about is your money. Very disappointed, charged me full price didn’t get my tour. This made my Dubai experience one of the worst.

We had gone in the winter, so the weather was rather good.The events they had were falcon show, camel ride, bit of a safari, with stops to see Arabian Oryx and Ghaff trees, there was Arabic songs later in the night. All of which were fun. There was also a good spread for breakfast and dinner.The service was good, with all personnel being friendly and professional. Due to maintenance work we were unable to stay in the room and were given a Bedouin tent as an alternative. This was a unique experience in and of itself. They compensated with some unique memorabilia, which were good.They also assisted in getting my wife a birthday cake and helped keep it a surprise.Overall, this is something one must try at least once.

Booked this tour with my family and friends & paid over $800 and the service/experience they promised was a lie. In short words, this compony scammed me and my friends. I’m not sure where all 5* reviews come from if they paid or not, but it’s our 5th time doing safari tour in Dubai and this compony nothing but a lie, if you never had a safari tour in Dubai you probably wouldn’t know, but somebody who had it done with other companies and had REAL safari experience this is just a joke. Please save your money and book with other compony and get something that you actually paid for!

This was an amazing safari! We were picked up on time by our guide Gert and during the drive to the desert he gave a lot of good information about Dubai.The drive through the desert was safe, informative but most of all fun! We had plenty to of picture stops and water was offered constantly.The falcon show was pretty impressive but the highlight was dinner it was by far one of the best and most filling meals we have ever had!If you are going to Dubai you have to take this tour! Ask for Gert you won’t be sorry!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!The tour from start to finish (minus the booking process couple days prior) was absolutely amazing and very well organised. We booked the Bedouin breakfast and love lake desert safari for 5 adults and 4 kids (aged 1,4,5 and 7).You can tell the entire team gives their all to give you the best experience possible. Our guides for the day, Mehdi and Abdou, were remarkable. Not only were they fantastic with our kids and entertained them while we enjoyed the experience to the fullest, they were also very knowledgeable and overall just an absolute joy to be around.I did consider giving 4 stars because booking the experience online/through WhatsApp was an absolute headache. But this is not what I will be remembering when I think of this beautiful memory. There’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to customer service on the HQ end. Unless you’re a ‘basic booking’ (we were a family of 9, including small kids) I’d recommend calling them. I tried booking online with the help of costumer service over WhatsApp but the communication was very bad. It wasn’t until I picked up the phone we managed to finalize our booking one day prior.

A camel ride is a ‘must do’ and there are other companies also offering the service and some cheaper - but this one is absolutely worth every penny and pick this one instead! What sets Platinum Heritage apart is you get a true cultural experience. In addition to the ride, they show you how they make bread and coffee and offer henna tattoos. The food was all very well described and absolutely delicious! You will leave stuffed and with amazing memories!

We loved the whole thing form beginning till the end. Highlight are video/photos at the end, which I think are done in great way. Absolutely loved the ride in cranky old Land Rovers. Zoltan, our guide was great and the guys at the camp as well. We have done desert safaris before but this is on the another level completely. We had a fantastic experience in our desert safari. Everything from the desert tour to the falconry, camel ride, and dining was so well done. Loved the private dining areas especially since we were there in Valentines Day. Special kudos to our friendly and informative tour guide and also to the very talented henna artist.

I must write the review in order to set expectations for other people who are considering booking Heritage Safari. I did this tour years ago and it was immaculate, I also used to recommend it to all my clients, friends and family. I went few days ago myself and I must say it was disappointing. The Heritage Safari is way more expensive then with other companies and the quality is just the same now (I have tried quite few companies in dubai). You will be picked up with horrible old mini van and thats your ride for 1h to the desert and 1h back. When I asked them what car will pick us up they just said Ford Explorer or Mini Van (due to high price I did not expect that van will be literally falling apart). Once we arrived my family asked for Henna drawing and they told us that due to COVID they are not doing it (fair enough) BUT couldnt you let us what is not included anymore before we booked?! That would be fair. Also fun thing is that shisha is safe to consume in COVID times but Henna is not. The food is average (nothing mind-blowing). So people if you are looking for exceptional desert safari this wont be your luxury experience. The best thing on this tour are people and immaculate desert dunes, but it doesnt justify the price. I understand that cost cutting is due to COVID, but again you cannot make guest pay full price and not receive the full experience.

Highly recommend this tour. Eco tour into wildlife preserve with falcon demonstration, camel riding, wonderful food at outdoor oasis. The tour guide Eddie was very engaging and full of knowledge about the area, culture, and history. Had our own private Land Rover to cruise through the desert to our destination, spotting wildlife along the way. Worth it if you want a more authentic experience while in Dubai.

Had an amazing experience! We opted for the sunset drive in the Range Rover. Our driver/guide picked us up right on time straight from our hotel. We were also accompanied by another couple who we still keep in touch with today! The reserve is about 40min drive from the Dubai mall. They have a great picture and video package. They falcon show was great. The camel ride was just the perfect amount of time. The dinner was great and after dinner entertainment was fun. Thank you so much for the unforgettable evening!

An amazing experience!! Our driver (Ben) was nice and funny, he told us a lot about the history of the UAE and the desert. The Land Rovers are small so you basically have a private car. You get your own drinking bottles and can refill them on the way. The Falcon Show as well as the camp was great! Lots of details, nice staff and a 3 course dinner. We even got a special meal (vegetarian) which was really tasty. In the camp you can get a Hanna tattoo or ride a camel. And of course you get to see the sunset which was beautiful!!The money was definitely worth it, we had an unforgettable afternoon!

The balloon trip and safari were awesome. We had John as our guide for the ballon trip. He picked us up at the hotel and took us through the whole experience. He was professional, knowledgeable and kind. He gave his phone to my daughter and let her “DJ” on the ride back to the hotel. For the safari, we had Sam as our guide. He knew a ton about the desert and the flora and fauna. He took care of us for dinner as well. I highly recommend both trips. Please ask for John or Sam, you won’t be disappointed.

I highly recommend Platinum Heritage Falconry and Wildlife Safari. Our driver Sergio was friendly and on time. When we arrived at the dessert, Wayne greeted us and provided an amazing experience by allowing us to be interactive with the Gamora (the falcon), Amy (the dessert owl), and Harrison the Hawk. Food was served after the interaction at a camp where they have clean restrooms. The traditional breakfast was delicious and I went for seconds. They also have an American option breakfast. There is a photographer at the tour that takes pictures and puts together a short clip of the experience. It truly was a treat.

The service provided was excellent and worth the money we spent for a private tour. Our guide was experiment nice, answering all questions, anticipating our needs. We wanted an as authentic as possible tour and, although touristic by nature, the tour was providing the sense of authenticity. Can’t remember the name) was so kind and helpful, I enjoyed every second of this experience! The camp is clean, well organised, with tons of food (I couldn’t stop eating). When I visit Dubai again, it will be a no brainer for me. These people know what customer service is all about.

This was one of the most incredible experiences Ive had – from start to finish, there was not a dull moment. Even with the 45 minute car ride from the city to the desert, our guide, Samir, was great – sharing knowledge about the UAE culture and making jokes to start the day on a great note. I was dreamy to go to desert safari in UAE and finally this dream came true in the best style Ive could imagine, cruising throught sand dunes in this vintage car. Loved it

We picked the Platinum Heritage package which starts early afternoon and ends up around 23:00. The vintage Land Rovers are the highlight of this tour. Amazing way to drive through the desert. 2 points for improvement. 1: when guests arrive at the camp for dinner its already dark so the experience with the camel ride (that lasts only 1)! its not so appealing. In my opinion this must be moved earlier to the programme . 2: the activities-shows are basic and nothing special.Also due to Covid -19 henna drawing is not allowed.

Review of Private Night Vintage Land Rover Desert Safari & AstronomyWe had a private night safari with astronomy plus an additional camel ride. First, we had a very smooth drive from the hotel to the safari camp. Then we had an awesome private camel ride just before the sunset. So the weather was perfect, the views as well, camel carer was great, camels seemed to be very well taken care of (what is important to me). Then we started our safari drive in an old Land Rover which was fun. Our guide, Mahdi, told us some interesting facts about animals, country and the surroundings. We managed to see a snake (or a viper), scorpion and a gecko. And of course oryxes - theyre plenty of them in the area and it so nice to see how the conservation program works. Then we had a bonus fire show followed by dinner at the Platinum Oasis. The show was short, but quite nice to watch, and the food was really tasty! The oasis looks great, there are tables in small tents around a small lake, the experience is very private and exceptional. And the last part was an astronomy lecture, so we heard many interesting things about stars, constellations and we could see some of the with a telescope. However, the astronomy session was not private, there were other people. So only the rest of the experience was private.In general, Id definitely recommend the company and the experience although Id say that the program was quite full for the time we had there so sometimes I felt a bit rushed and I didnt have enough time for photos.As for COVID precautions, in my opinion it was fine, although I would add a bottle of sanitizer plus some wet wipes at the table where we had dinner.As for booking experience, we booked via an email, and the first person I was writing to, Lydia, was attentive and there were no issues. But when our date came and I wanted some confirmation about our booking she was no longer available, somebody else responded to my emails and they seemed not to know what was going on. So there is definitely a place for improvement.Summing up, if you want to have a different type of safari, in a place that is not crowded with other companies, and the idea of ecotourism is important to you, I definitely recommend Platinum Heritage :)

On visiting Dubai, as a westerner, I thought that one of the best experiences to do was a desert safari.There are plenty of similar options on the Internet and a choice is not easy. Because of the uniqueness of their tours and excursions, finally I booked with Platinum Heritage, a company awarded the prestigious World Travel Award multiple times.So, on board of a beautiful vintage 1950’s Land Rover (part of the UAE history) and escorted by our professional guide Mehdi, we started our journey inside the exclusive Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, a place that offers stunning landscapes of sand dunes and desert fauna (while it may not look like it at first glance, the desert is teeming with life).After a beautiful sunset, our day ended with a delicious Emirati cuisine dinner under the stars of a traditional Beduin camp. A day to remember.(for the record, activities such as falcon show, camel ride, shisha, henna tattoos, etc. were included too)

The platinum heritage desert safari was our hightlight of the trip. Our guide was very professional and friendly. We were amazed by the well-preserved landscapes. Its better than all the dunebashing safaris. PH offers a complete program that feels like an complete experience instead of seperate loose parts.

Interesting. However due to Covid, crowds low and its evident that the operators were cutting costs. Shows were reasonable. 4x4 dune bashing very exhilarating. Dinner needs improvement. Long queue. We avoided buy having VIP seats with extra payment.

Would give 10 stars if I could. This was the highlight of our trip! Our guide Midhi (spelling) was incredible! He took time to explain everything in detail. He really wanted us to understand the history and culture of Dubai!! The ride is beyond cool and the camels are so awesome. Food is incredible and the stay and camp is the best in Dubai! We did the Camel Desert Safari May 2019 and had such an incredible time in this tour. It is very well organized. Loved it all! Everything we tried from the dates with cheese to the fruit juice and dinner was delicious. Our guide was Joel. Very professional and personable guide. We strongly recommend this tour company.

I only had 2.5 days in Dubai, travelling alone, and when doing my research after booking my trip - this was one of the most recommended trips to do if on your own, and it didn’t disappoint!! Stayed a few nights in Dubai on our way to Africa back in February. Decided to splurge on the Platinum Dinner figuring when are we ever going to be in Dubai on Valentines Day again? Worth every penny!Starting with our guide, Palo, it was a first class experience. He was so outgoing and so excited to tell us about Dubai and happy to answer all our questions. Got to see the sheer immensity of the desert and was the Emirate experience we were looking for. Probably the best meal we had during our stay in Dubai as well. Our package included the video which was very well done and a great keepsake.

I booked a camel safari as part of my honeymoon and so glad I did. 5 star service from Nasir & team. He even surprised us with some flowers :). We got picked up from our hotel in an air conditioned vehicle & given a few gifts before a 45 minute camel ride into the desert. The camels were clean and seat was comfortable. The pace was pleasant and I was able to film on my go pro along the way.There was a sunset falcon show and then buffet dinner, dancing, & more at night. I ended up purchasing the professional video & photos as they were amazing quality at a reasonable price. I love my Land Rovers, what a treat to be able to go on a 1952Series 1, and smell the old oil and the sound of the cars. Our guide took time to explain us a out the plants and the animals. Falcon show was cool , food was just WOW. But highlight for me was the Land Rover.

I had my first desert Safari experience year 2015 in different tour company and its really wow for me. I had it again last year with #platinumheritage and the experience was superb where in I can say one of the best memories I had in Dubai. The experience is amazing!

This is a must and highly recommended, not just for tourists but residents as well. We had gone for their Iftar package during Ramadan, and it was definitely a one of a kind experience. Ive been to several safaris here in Dubai, but none can be compared.Upon arrival at the meeting point, they made us wear scarves the Arabic style. Its mainly for pictures and you also get to take it home as a souvenir.On the way to the camp, you get to spot a lot of gazelles and camels. Its a lovely journey indeed.As soon as we get to the camp, they teach us about the culture and traditional methods. Theres live entertainment, falcon show, explanation of how ouzi (a traditional dish in the Arab) is made and other great dishes. The night is ended with an astronomy class. It was very enlightening and definitely added to the whole experience.By the end of it, we honestly didnt wanna head back, as everything was done with so much perfection.I highly, highly recommend this!! Take your family, friends and believe me when I say they wont be disappointed.

Absolutely best experience in Dubai. Not to be missed. Great sand dunes, fab food and entertainment. Hire the jeep to collect you from your hotel. Book a good table to watch the entertainment: fire breathing, belly dancing. All fab. Camel ride a super experience. Souvenirs reasonably priced too. A MUST!

My husband and I did this yesterday for our honeymoon and it was hands down one of the best experiences weve had. Some of the stuff is a little kitchy but still had a great time. We did the Platinum Heritage which I highly recommend as it is more intimate and has a luxury twist. The food was delicious, the ambiance was great and the best part was our guide Paulo. He picked us up from the resort, he was courteous, thoughtful and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience and he made it go from great to exceptional. Thank you all for making our honeymoon amazing.

This tour was our best experience in Dubai . Our guide (John) is very friendly and told us about Dubai a lot. We got good memories of Dubai with some gifts from them.Good friendly staffs, good traditional foods, and it was very fun.(←my 7-year-old son thinks. I really agree.)27,12,2018

My girlfriend and I were extremely happy we did this! It was easily the highlight of our trip to Dubai. The whole night was absolutely wonderful.
