Visited for the first time. We arrived around 3:50pm, saw from google we had more than an hour to order and eat which I knew we could manage in time. We didn’t plan on overstaying. But the moment we walked in through the door, the man sitting by the cash register/coffee bar was rude and very Frank that we only had 30 minutes to order and was pushing us to hurry the entire time. All before we even ordered our food. It gave us a bad feeling already. We ended up ordering the Wagyu patty with beef bacon and cheese stuffing, and homemade pasta with tomato and cheese. They brought bread as house service which was a nice touch. Unfortunately he said they did not have their phyllo pie already sold out (though I’m not sure if it was because it takes too long to bake and serve and they were insistent on closing by 5PM exactly or because it was actually out of stock...). The food we received was either bland (pasta) with tomato that tasted like it was from a can. And the beef patty was tough and chewy, quite salty too. The side veggie salsa was delicious though.Overall due to service we would not return. Food was lackluster as well but it was the worker who did it for us. Too bad because we really wanted to love the place.
One of my absolute favourites in Dubai. Always consistent with quality and flavour of food and the staff are always kind, without fail.We LOVE their Balkan Breakfast for two, order it every time we go. Nothing beats those spicy sausages and house made bread + cheese and the AJVAR!! Always end with the thyme goat cheese and honey burek. The place is also so beautifully curated/decorated. 10/10 highly recommend to anyone in the city or who is visiting.
Ambience:Very lovely interior! Loved the fact that they used fresh flowers and apples to decorate the tables. It added so much life to the place.⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️Food:We had coffee and pie and both were really good.⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️Service:Very friendly staff. It looked like a family business with loads of warmth.⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️Overall:Lovely.
Visited multiple times but never for breakfast. Reservations are essential as the place is small and has limited tables. I went for the cheese burek but make sure you order it as soon as you arrive. They have amazing coffee and the pindjur eggs was not bad either. Lovely cozy aesthetic and ample natural light.
Dubai is home to so many different eclectic restaurants and I am ecstatic that we have a Balkan bistro and a great one at that to enjoy :)This cosy bistro is situated in the park Regis hotel, we have always gone for breakfast (I have heard their lunch menu is great as well) we loved everything we tried on the menu. I would recommend to try the komplet egg it was by far my favorite :)Only downside is I would recommend to come earlier to find parking around the area (not a fault of the restaurant)
Good day for everyone.Yesterday it was another visit to 21grams...Went to Easter brunch option (Im not a brunch lover at all!). This was awesome! So tasty, portions are perfect for 2 to give a try delicious dishes. But after lamb (slow cooked in milk), which made me sleepy and totally satisfied cat ))) I couldnt make a desert. But this morning had it with ,y morning coffee. And even with a missing ice cream scoop, which obviously 21grams cant put in your take away box, this was blow of taste.Definitely Ill come back and try all the menu!P.S. Some pictures from previous visit, because I made only one this time.
I finally dined at 21grams today and everything was great - the food, service and ambiance were all cozy and comforting. My friend and I ordered three main dishes - Sarma, slow-cooked lamb in milk and Pljeskavica. The portion isnt huge so it was good for two of us to share three main dishes. They serve main dishes with freshly baked bread. For desserts we ordered baklava and walnut strudel. All dishes were very skillfully cooked and it was a good introduction to the Balkan cuisine. Definitely recommend!
Delicious dishes in a cozy space! We ordered the Balkan breakfast and the Pindjur eggs, both delighted our taste buds! They are exactly what I imagine what 21grams means by soul food. Cant wait to go back next time to try the lunch offerings. The pandemic may have curtailed flights, but you can still explore the Balkans with a visit to 21grams.
Lovely little bistro in Jumeirah. Don’t let the exterior deceive you. This hidden gem is tucked inside a hotel. We made a reservation and were seated immediatelyMenu is specific and concise - and we loved the breakfast items we ordered. Service is excellent and discreet. Will definitely be back
Coming from Balkan set certain expectations on food and this place definitely delivers it. You will enjoy beautiful breakfast and lunch, or dessert as food is amazing and tasty. The atmosphere is so relaxing and music choice is perfect so even if you come here for a coffee (awesome barista will make sure your coffee will be perfect) and read a book to relax in the morning you wont go wrong. Looking forward to visit this place again soon. Staff is super friendly and professional so I dont see a reason why you wouldnt want to come and enjoy.
21grams has become my favorite breakfast place in Dubai. The Balkan Breakfast for two with the runny scrambled eggs, spinach burak, salad, ricotta and jam is to die for. My husband and I enjoy it with our two year old! The food and ambience make us feel we are out of Dubai; it has a homey cozy feel. The staff are lovely and so sweet to my son. Their coffee is strong and tasty. Theres honestly nothing not to like.
Absolutely LOVE this place! food is nothing but amazing, very authentic taste. I am coming from Croatia and Croatian dishes we tried are second to none! very nice atmosphere, best burek I tried in Dubai, kind and attentive stuff, simply must visit place! make sure you make a reservation before going :) must try dishes: pljeskavica, dalmatian pasticada, sarma (rolled cabbage with meat) and walnut cake!!!!!!!
One of the best breakfast spots in Dubai. My wife and I love their Kombucha and the breakfast menu is mind blowing. A perfect match of breakfast+beach day. It’s a very cosy, elegant spot and obviously the food is fantastic. The team is also very helpful, great to chat with, and overall you just feel the positive energy in this place. You can come here alone or in a group doesn’t matter, love the spot!
Charming and cozy place with tasty food and super friendly staff. Great for either breakfast, lunch or coffee. It has earned a well deserved spot in our hearts (and our bellies).
This cafe is beautifully quaint and has great food and drinks. I had the balkan breakfast which was delicious although i wished there was a bit more feta than provided and hubby had eggs and sausage which was also very satisfying. Cant quite give 5 stars as we waited a long time for our drink order where we had to remind staff we were still waiting ehen our food arrived. Otherwise the staff were really friendly. Id most certainly return and recommend to others
Everything was great - the food, service and ambiance were all cozy and comforting. The food is so good. Everything with the dough is amazing. Loved the polenta and spinach pie. The crepe is so delicious and the service was really nice. Can’t wait to try more.
This is a must try little hidden Balkan restaurant in Dubai - the name 21g being the theoretical weight of the human soul - which is fitting as this is truly soul food.. Or traditional comfort Balkan food but with a slight twist to lift it up.Dishes were delicious but for me the Dalmatian Pasticada stole the show (slow cooked beef stew with the home made gnocchi). The other special mention has to be the potato pie that hit the spot perfectly. The service from Stasha {owner but also Chief Soul kitchen Officer} and her team was outstanding and couldnt be faulted.
Amazing breakfast, hospitality and coffee. My friend and I had the pindjur eggs and was blown away by the taste and quality of the breakfast!
Best. Coffee. In. Dubai. 21 Grams serves most impeccable latte I’ve ever had in the UAE. The milk is perfectly frothed and rich, the coffee is expertly made and tastes extremely smooth, no bitterness whatsoever. It’s so good, I always get another one to-go! Their food is quite good as well, I’d liken to really good home cooking, but the soup is amazing. The chicken dumpling soup is the flavor equivalent of receiving a hug. And to top it all off, incredible service and great atmosphere! 21 Grams is MUST if you’re in Dubai!
Amazing Balkan bistro with excellent food, beautiful interiors and super friendly staff. We recommend trying the traditional cheese pie - Burek. All the breads and pastries are done in house in an authentic way. Simply delicious! We only have been there for breakfast (3x in 3 weekends 😆) but will come back some day to try their lunch/dinner menu. 5-Stars
The restaurant had incredible reviews, however, the atmosphere is not one of the best in Dubai by far, the decoration quite simple and the food is not healthy but too greasy. It didnt match the reviews or expectations.
Food quality ranges from good to great. The princess crepe and Phyllo pies are a must try. Savory options like eggs needs a bit more work.
Really tasty food and lovely service. Would definitely go again. A bit pricey but food was delicious.
Amazing place great food u will never regret. Service is excellent. Reminded me of the nice new small restaurants in London.
Food was simple but delicious. Its presented well and the servings are quite big. The service was excellent and the staff were very accommodating, especially as we didnt have a reservation.
Absolutely delicious Balkan gastronomy treat. Fabulous eggs, fresh fluffy bread and tasty coffee. Super tasty and fresh
Friendly and amazing staff.. Good portions for the prices.. A bit salty but amazingly tasty
A slice of Europe in Dubai. Delicious Balkan food, super friendly and attentive service by Balkan native team and cozy vibes. No wonder why this is an award winning place.
I love the atmosphere of this cafe and also the hotel where this cafe is located in. Very cozy and fashionable interior can be enjoyed. And also a cup of coffee was superbly exquisite. One thing I can say unfortunately is that the waiter here was not friendly enough especially the way the waiter talks to the customer was not appropriate. But other than that, all were great!
Great spot in Jumeirah and the Balkan food offerings are fantastic. Lovely understated decor and I enjoyed everything I ordered. Service was great too and its a real find in that location which has a lot of overpriced and underwhelming food. They know what they are doing with their menu and they do it well. Definitely worth a try.
Firstly you most likely need reservations before you go. Its a small cafe with a few tables plus a popular place to eat.The food is very good. The egg dishes are good. The Burek very good. The phylo goat cheese very nice. Definetley an eatery i would go to often.
Delighted to have discovered this treasure of a restaurant only this week! Set off the beach road, 21 Grams feels like a delightful oasis of relaxed warm Balkan charm in the middle of the busy thriving city. The food is absolutely unbelievable and seasoned lovingly by the Serbian Head Chef. I recommend the baked feta cheese - in fact, stop what you are doing right now, go there immediately and order it. It is amazing!I also sampled delicious Spring Salad and Wagu beef, but I’m dying to try the Cabbage rolls and Mussaka next time. :-)
21 grams Bistro has been a love affair for the last 3 years. The food is always great and the latest supper clubs have been divine as we try different dishes and meet different chefs. 21 grams Bistro is not just a restaurant. Its a big part of the community, a home, and a family.
Stopped by for some coffee. What seemed like a cafe from the outside turned out to be a bistro that serves Balkan cuisine which isnt very common here. The menu does look quite interesting, need to come back here to check it out. The coffee was decent.Theyre housed inside Park Regis Boutique hotel on Jumeirah Beach Road.
Not visited this place but I was in Hotel regis boutique hotel for a night. But at morning I saw many english people were having breakfast.
Wonderful Balkan Bistro hidden close to Jumeriah beach on the ground floor of a quiant boutique hotel. They serve lovely coffee and a great selection of Balkan fusion food. Highly recommend the Komplet Eggs for breakfast, their home baked bread is amazing and theres loads of things to try for salads and small dishes and mains for lunch and dinner. Staff are lovely too! What a gem
Great food, low key yet elegant, staff is wonderful. Must go.
Sophisticated place! Lovely interior design and great menu. If you havent ever tried Serbian food - this is a great place to start with. Staff are very professional and polite. I had the pleasure to have a long conversation with the manager. This restaurant is located at the ground floor as part of a boutique hotel. Prices are on the high end.
Cosy, stylish, and soulful (check out the name!).... food is great and a welcomed change, service is personal - the Montenegrin owner adds his touch and makes it personal.
The place is nice, service and hospitality is also good, but I didnt like the food. If you like Balkan cuisine, you should be fine.
Best coffee in town! Small cozy place just up from the beach. Food is good as well!
Love love love 21 grams, the definition of hygge (a danish term for coziness & comfort). Their interiors are spectacular & unique and their food is out of this world. Not even joking when I say that not only is my tummy happy after a visit here, but my heart & mood are too. Highly recommend their kombucha, polenta, sarma & walnut strudel 😍
Love this place!Food, service, atmosphere are amazing!Big thanks to the team!
Very nice cute place, different than all , thanks for one not a copy of somewhere, bravo 21gram
This is the Best breakfast, quality, value and service in a boutique setting
Good quality coffee - I highly recommend the cold brew.I had the walnut strudel and it was delicious. Will be back soon
The best Balkan soul food restaurant in the country! The service is amazing too! If you have not tried every item on their menu yet, then youve never lived. Period!
Excellent food - especially the Phyllo pie (we ordered a second!). Friendly service. May need to book ahead but worth it!
Great food, great atmosphere and great staff.
Love loveee European atmosphere with amazing Balkan food and music. The staff is very friendly!
Quaint place near Umm Suqeim beach. Enjoyed the Pindjur eggs (poached eggs on tomato relish) and Komplet eggs (eggs, cheese and beef jus on bread). Their homemade bread is soft and delicious. Their coffee is good and customer service is very polite. Worth a visit.
Looking for Serbian food in Dubai, then this is what you looking for. Cozy place, good coffee and tasty food with reasonable price.
Perfect place for breakfast (try the polenta!). A nice mix of modern and traditional balkan food, great coffee. Also, bureks, mmmm. Closes a little early, don’t miss it. Can be busy in the mornings.
Authentic Balkan food, amazing
Well maybe the opinion of a Spanish dude isn’t the most accurate on a Serbian matter, but I have to say this places is a gem. Food is awesome, everything looks and tastes brilliant and the person who went with knows quite a lot about Serbian food and she was also impressed. Owner is so nice and after a chat he definitely shows how much he cares about the quality of his product. Place is cozy and friendly decorated. Definitely a returning place! Ps Turkish coffee is a must!
Just everything what I tasted here is 10/10, food is amazing also people who work here. Big thanks to chef Milan for recommendation and for amazing food!
