Been to this place first time last week. And we liked the interior, ambiance and our seats were comfortable. But the variety of choices were very poor. They don’t have most popular cakes which are in high demands. Such as cheesecake or chocolate lava cake..so we ordered carrot cake and chocolate cake with cappuccino and hot chocolate. Drinks was good but cakes did not have taste at all we felt just sugar only. Overall location is good, staff is also welcoming

I tried their cupcakes when I first came to Dubai. I didn’t really like it. After some time, I ordered their cupcakes again. And to my surprise, the taste improved. Good job! The chocolate ones are yummy.

As much as i love their presentation and appearance of their items I don’t know why whenever i have tried their cake I felt the frosting was overwhelming the sponge itself.I have always found sponge very dry and it happened again the other day when we went there.Otherwise it is a lovely bakery with some delicious sounding treats

Pretty good bakery, for those with a sweet-tooth, which is consistent and reliable in the quality of the cakes produced.I absolutely love the frosting - it is to die for! The rainbow cake in itself is well presented and the portion size is well worth the price. There is a wide variety of cupcake flavours on offer too.My only complaint is that the cakes can be a little too sweet, which makes me almost reluctant to enjoy the final few bites of the cake.However, when I feel like I really deserve a treat, I would visit again soon.

Absolutely love their red velvet cake! Their red velvet cake is the right amount of sweetness and its so nice and moist. The buttercream frosting was so delicious my mouths watering just writing this review. I love that you can also order these by the slice on deliveroo so you wont have to order a whole cake. This is a great place for birthdays and one of those days where you just need a slice of cake to cheer you up.

Mouth watering desserts. My all time favourite is the red velvet cake and is really amazing. The desserts are very rich in quality.

Brought my girlfriend to try their cakes as I have tried it 5 years ago and I remember the red velvet was balanced and moist. Unfortunately the cakes are over sweet and the sponge cake areas are very dry.The taste is pure sugar with no balance in either the milk chocolate rainbow cake nor the red velvet that I ordered.Beautiful colors and designs but other than that, I cannot give a compliment.

Doesn’t taste nice. The rainbow cake is only good to see but taste wise it’s dry and the cake itself was very hard thought it was just sliced from the whole cake. Plus staff weren’t that welcoming.Wouldn’t recommend this place rather there are better ones with taste and freshness.

I am very happy to find this restaurant with a good environment. The interior is very clean and tidy. The cakes are fresh and mouth watery and there are many choices of cake, the price is not high, it is suitable to take the family with you. Thanks to Joy for attending to me fast and timely.

I have the Hummingbird Bakery book and I’ve made numerous delicious cakes and cupcakes using their recipes. Today we visited the store and purchased multiple items, including cupcakes, cookies and the rainbow cake. The vanilla frosting on the cupcakes tasted strange and it was overly sweet, the cookie tasted as though it had too much baking powder which gave it an odd taste. The cream cheese they use is obviously not a good quality brand as it did not taste like the usual cream cheese frosting which has a rich creamy flavour and texture. I also felt as though the servers were annoyed by us as we were browsing their selections. Not a great experience!

If you want to go to a place where you can satisfy your cravings for sweets, then this bakery is the perfect place for you! You have a lot of desserts and cold drinks to choose from but Ill definitely recommend their delightfully-riched red velvet cake and coffee caramel frappe! Not only that, their staffs are also very friendly and welcoming, especially Sir Russel - excellent service. Cant wait to bring my friends over! Great place & great food.👍

Had ordered some cake using the 50 percent code and this was a complete set of stale cakes that you sent. The Pistachio slice that was sent tastes really bad. just a day ago I received carrot cake for full price and it was FRESH - I didnt ask for discount you guys have provided and then you send stale piece of CAKE . Really disappointing !

I have tried several different places all over dubai in my quest for the perfect cake and while I have found good ones along the way, this one stands out in terms of its cost to quantity ratio. This review is about Hummingbird Bakery located@ First floor, Mall of the Emirates – Dubai. Its adjacent to the food out yet it’s not part of it. the exterior is what will attract you first and make you inquisitive to walk in, well they succeeded in that. same as usual items, assorted type of muffins, cakes, pastries, hot and cold beverages. The staff mostly as new trend now is from Africa, very polite and know how to look after you. you won’t face any parking issues as its at the mall. They accept All Cards payment.it suitable to short business meeting ot catch up coffee with a friend.

The best place to go to cool your nerve with sweet sumptuous red velvet cake and creamy mocha frappe is only at Hummingbird Bakery... I’m not really sure why so many people have 5-stars. The place looks super fancy on the outside but it’s pretty basic cake and nothing wow. Have had much better at smaller less known places than here. I would give the red velvet cake a 4 though, but the chocolate cake was definitely a 2, hence the rating average. If really craving a good cake, go elsewhere.

Ordered thier Rainbow cake...worst cake i ever had in my life. Nothing but batter and sugar....no flavor no nothing....I love cakes and i am sure never to step in this shop ever again. First cafe I see when I enter the Mall if the Emirates.. always wanted to try their rainbow cake and finally when I did try it,, I found it way too sweet for my liking. Wanted to order it for my daughter’s bday and took her to try and see if she likes it.. after two bites she could not eat as she found it very sweet. Coffee was nice .. good colorful place in mall and nice seating too.. give it a try if you are real sweet tooth..

A friend of mine asked me to pick up a cake from this place on our way to a party.I walked into the cafe at the Mall of the Emirates and man oh man! was I in for a surprise! so many kinds of cupcakes, cake slices, decorated cakes!..So I was confused as on which cake to get so decided to get the 8 Chocolate Cake which is a safe bet any day!8 inches cake is good enough for 10-12 people.The cake was super moist and tasted super yumm!.I liked seeing many of their decorated cakes on display and it looked really good- the quote for them seemed a bit high compared to other cake shops but Im sure it will taste nice.Will definitely go there again to get cake in future.

We had a custom cake made for our daughters birthday and it was excellent, just like the picture we had sent. Rose and Arvin did a fantastic job with the decoration. And of course the cake was delicious. A very happy little girl and satisfied customers, highly recommended.

I bought total of 18 cupcakes to my office hoping to surprise my colleagues with a nice gesture. Unfortunately it back fired putting me in an awkward position when all the cupcakes came upside down and in a very bad shape. I felt so bad and I will never order from Hummingbirds again.

It Was Really Amazing service from Andy . She suggest the best cake ever, Fantastic tasty and sweet cup cakes are available here. What’s amazing is the variety of cup cakes they prepare. A wide selection of cup cakes can surely give you best ones which suit you.

The cakes themselves are good, I got to give them that. BUT! Do not order customized cakes as they are really unable to do the simplest job at all and have totally ruined my 5 y.o. birthday cake.We have made an order reasonably in advance, asking for a simple light cake with a penguin, highlighting its for a girls’ birthday (first photo was shared with the bakery). What we got on the day was a dark blue cake that was clearly made for a boy (second photo). They had agreed to change the penguin to at least look like a girl - but got some reason have changed the frosting (as we found out later - by adding a second layer!!!). The changes to the penguin were pathetic and even the manager agreed the cake wasn’t even cute, let alone similar to what was requested. The manager also told us not to put the cake in the fridge.So it was home, with AC set at 22C for 5 hours. Ones it was the moment to get the candles, we’ve opened the box just to see that half of the cake “melted” and collapsed, completely ruining the looks (photo 3 and 4). So no cake for a birthday and completely ruined evening. We’ve communicated with the bakery and they’ve promised that a manager would call next day (it’s 3 days past now and no one called). They did offer to do a cake for another occasion - but why would I let them ruin another day. Ruined birthday and 0 client handling from the bakery side - never would bother with them again.

Good quality cake. I ordered cake for my brother’s anniversary, they loved it. And I needed to update my order delivery date, which they did without any hassle.

Nice place to have a coffee and a cupcake ora a slice of cake. The selection isnt too wide but I quite liked the handmade cupcakes. I had a mocha coffee which was really good. You can pay also using the NOL card, which is a plus.

So, here is the update. By looking at the reviews I ordered a cake from this bakery for my husbands birthday a month ago. I was so embarrassed on that day because no one ate the cake. I felt as if I was munching a lump of sugar and not a cake. It was extremely dry and full of sugar.When I posted a comment the bakery staff called me and apologized and requested me to remove the comment and give them another chance to prove that they also make best cakes in Dubai and promised me a complimentary cake for the next day.I agreed and asked the staff to send the cake on 14th Feb.On 14th Feb I waited the whole day and got a call from them at 6:14pm. They told that they had send the cake with their driver but the driver wasnt allowed to enter the building, so he went back....which obviously was a lie.At 7:04 pm again the bakery called that the cake will reach us within 45 min to 1 hr. But there was no sign of cake.At night when we were asleep, got a call from the Bakery and they asked for our address to schedule a delivery.We told them not to call us again.They not only ruined my husbands birthday but also our valentines day. Will never ever trust this bakery again.

All delicious cakes really make it hard for me to choice....the staff are nice enough to help me and suggest the good one but I need up eating the carrot cake...delicious and moist cake

Terrible service. They dont need clients and they dont care at all. I asked to check available table for me and my daughter coz we were going to order cakes, coffee, tea... But the waitress said nothing is available without even looking around. Then I found at least 4 tables where people just were waiting someone or sitting without any orders. Probably those people are more important than potential clients who pays money. Kind of Shame of Dubai.
