I gave 1 start to their dedication and hard work to redo the cake after I insist I wont accept the order that was horrible and unmatched with the ref photo.However, big fault here is that I was quote and agree to pay for 2 tiers cake, instead, without prior informed, they served me a cake with the 2nd tier made of STYRO FOAM!!!!After I follow up for a refund on this, they disappear and unreachable.Taste: very average supermarket testDesign: 7/10Customer service: 2/10

Excellent Service. We were planning a Unicorn themed party for our daughter and Cake talked had the perfect cake for the occasion. The online ordering process was seamless and so was the communication via whatsapp ahead of delivery. I always want to start out with the good. The cake is amazing. Moist, and beautiful. The icing isn’t too sweet and perfectly soft. Would I go there over and over again? Absolutely! The problem is the customer service sucks! The order was wrong, they don’t want to change it. They responded with roadblocks instead of solutions to “service” the customer. Once I received the order, it was wrong again. Again, no attempt to fix it. Asked to speak to the owner. No return call.Too bad they lost a customer. Their product is good they need to get their act together.

I ordered a cake for my friend to be delivered as a surprise to her. I ordered it on Wednesday, to deliver it on Friday morning or at least by afternoon, that’s how people deliver a cake. But afternoon when I checked they didn’t deliver it. I messaged them to know the status and they said it will be delivered at 8pm at night and the reason was that their colleague thought that it was for midnight delivery, midnight delivery at 8pm?? I didn’t know Dubai has 8pm declared as midnight. Anyhow, my friends family waited for it till 6 and then they went out to celebrate without the cake. At last they called the shop and said will collect the next day morning, that was Saturday, and after they collected it.. they went home and to their dismay they found out the fruits to be rotten when opened. All the fruits including strawberries were rotten and moldy with fungus, how can strawberries rot in a day, and the fruit was dry. So that means the bakers are inexperienced and they don’t know how to prepare a cake to be fresh for at least 2 days? My friend has kids and imagine they consuming the rotten cake. I feel sorry for spoiling my friends birthday, as they waited till evening for this cake and had to celebrate without this cake and how sad the next day they get rotten fruits on the cake. It’s pathetic. I paid them 176 AED for rotten fruits? They are highly unprofessional as they haven’t replied yet to my photographs and complaint. Please don’t buy from these people and please don’t spoil your dear ones birthday like I did by ordering the cake. I won’t recommend them to anyone. Please don’t spoil others day just because you want a business.

Bad experience, orded a cake for my mom’s bday 5 days prior still they managed to mess up..Asked for orange dipping.. they said everything possible al okay. The day of delivery huge stress. First they didnt send me a pic before delivery.. I requested 3 times.. when cake arrived it was broken en letters of happy bday were smudged all over the place.And the dipping was not orange but another color..How can you mess up something so simple?!Thank god we had a cash on delivery and we checked the package … they told us to take it for cheaper price we didnt want to.. so they came with a new one 5 hours later! The worst experienceHorrible cake, disgusting taste,unprofessional service and rude, different cake design.After I confirmed my order and transfer the money 3 days before my son birthday at the same day of the delivery I text them to check why I didnt receive the cake and they reply back to me on whatsapp sorry I put the delivery date tomorrow tomorrow and I cant make it today and she ignored my msgs and calls for 30 minutes then I asked them for any other design they did it in 3 hours and deliver it which I received horrible cake disgusting taste.

Cant say the cake is bad but dont order it if you have an important occasion. Even with 120 dhs delivery fees the cake got damaged during the way and got delivered the day after at 8.30 pm where the Party was long over !!!! Not customer friendly at all!

Ordered a cake for my boyfriends birthday: very poor respons service on WhatsApp. Took 24 days (!?) for them to send the payment and confirmation link....I payed eksta for the delivery to be a specific time between 10-11am, so it was timed with guests for coffee and cake at that time slot. Cake was 40 minutes late, guests almost left because people needed to be back on work..... Communication after when I complained, non existing!

I’ve tried countless times to give this company a chance to redeem itself but I’m constantly disappointed. The cakes are honestly really good, which is a shame because the customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. The team doesn’t pick up phone calls, they ignore customer calls and delivery sometimes is so delayed I question the freshness of the cake itself. My last order was December 17 and I couldn’t be more shocked at how rude the staff is. I suggest you don’t bother ordering from here, it will be a headache.

I am so disappointed with the service. I have waited for four hours for a response on Whatsapp when the tram os online they read the messages they dont respond. When they respond they dont give a detailed answer. I asked the ladies to share the email or number of the management no nothing. The fact that they were extremely rude is just another level. I could not bare service and simply ended up just giving up on waiting for anything.

The worst service and quality I ever experienced. I ordered a naked cake, two hours before a fondant cake arrived. Cupcakes was done so poorly. I called numerous times, finally a received a call back and the cake was replaced. Upon cake cutting it fell apart as obviously it was not set. Cupcake bow ties looked bad, cups was a disaster. Cupcakes was dry!I was left embarrassed before my guest. Still no response from you guys.I paid 1600 for a job I could have done better at home. I severed my guest spinneys cake at the end of the day.

Please dont waste your money and time like i did.Bellow is the image of how the cake suppose to look like and the disaster what has arrived. Since the beginning i kept asking to send me a picture in advance two avoid this and i gave them clear instructions about the size and look. It was for my husbands 40 ! I almost cried when i saw this. This is brilliant example of business who doesnt give a damn and has 0 passion of what they do.

Loved the cake design with the unicorns theme for my baby’s first birthday but unfortunately the cake wasn’t edible. It tasted so bad. Just know that you’re spending all your money on the design and not the taste. You’ll take great pictures with it, but you won’t be eating it.

Unfortunately very poor experience. The cake was very bland and the hard to chew. The buttercream was mostly butter, not really a good experience for the kids. The fruit layer, was containing canned fruit and only a few bits. It was really dissapointing seeing kids turning their plates away. I will definitely not order again.

I ordered a cake yesterday for my friend on Mothers Day to be sent to her house as a gift. The cake was delivered with no message, no sender name and no receiver name plus it was delivered late at night. So when my friend received the cake with no info, she thought it was delivered to her house by mistake!!! The cake ended up with the security waiting for someone to ask for. The Cake Talk Bakery ruined my gift for being unprofessional.

Poor customer service paid for extra fee for delivery but failed to deliver the cake when the driver is just 15 mins away from the location.they promised to refund my delivery fee kept calling no update.what a shame.wont be ordering to them anymore.this review will be just ignored as they only respond on good reviews

Not happy with the quality and taste of the cake at all. Ordered for my sons first birthday. The cake not only was totally bland or had no taste, but even the quality was poor.We had a selected a beautiful teddy picture on the cake, but when the actual cake arrived, the picture was highly pixelated and it was very crumpled.1st birthdays are very special, and especially now during quarantine, when we can’t celebrate with other family and friends, we totally focus on getting other things right to make it memorable. The shop never bothered to follow up or get the feedback from us.I will never order from them ever again, and wouldn’t recommend anyone either. There are much better cakes shops in town.

Beware of this Fake Chinese Company. They try to use well known established and popular bakery name. They pretend they are The House of Cakes. It’s unprofessional and illegal. Do not order from this cake shop!I ordered cake pops that were dry and tasted bland. Not only that, they got the delivery date wrong but because the date was wrong the cake pops arrived 4.5 hours late!When they finally arrived and we tasted them, they were not the flavour we had asked for. When i asked what happened they told me they could not do the red velvet so they gave me vanilla instead. They did not give me the option to choose a different flavour and the vanilla was AWFUL!When i asked for a partial refund due to everything going wrong they stopped replyingAwful service, awful product. Be careful when ordering from here, it happened twice to me now that they call me a day before or hours before to tell me that they dont have the flavor I ordered a month ago! Ordered a monster cake with 12 monster cupcakes and sent a photo it was amazing! Size was for for 8-10 it was enough for 25 people. The cake was chocolate and it was super tasty and light and it wasn’t to sweet even the butter cream was nice and light and not too sweet, which i have never had before!We have found our new cake shop!

Who does that???Obviously they had forgotten about my bday cake and they remembered it last minute!! The cake that was delivered had nothing to do with what I ordered (they had confirmed they can make the cake based on the picture I provided-very simple design). I sent it back and they had no time to make one as per my order. Instead of apologizing and trying to make another cake, I was left without a cake for my bday! Great job guys! Congrats!

Ordered cupcakes in the morning and received a confirmation email that the order was processed and confirmed the delivery time I had requested. Once that time had passed I called to see if they would be arriving soon as I needed to take them to the event. Was put on hold and finally the girl came back and said they could deliver in 2 more hours. I explained that I had paid extra to have them delivered at the requested time because I needed them. She said that they were busy today and they usually call to confirm, I asked why they sent me a confirmation email and she said they missed some messages today?? Basically it seems they messed up, ok people make mistakes but she did nothing to take any responsibility other than to ask for my whatsapp number to confirm my refund. Certainly doesnt help me to have what I need for the birthday celebration tonight. The products look good online but the service was terrible. Wont try them again😤

Terrible terrible customer service and complaint management. Absolutely disgraceful. I used to order from them and recommend them to people, but im not going to anymore. Ordered the chocolate sponge with caramel filling...something Ive ordered in the past. But the cake was so dry and unappealing. The fondant was thick and inedible. Overall, a bad cake from Cake Talk Bakery. After cutting the cake and trying it, barely anyone touched the cake. I have almost the entire cake untouched. On complaining to them, all I get it excuses and justification... Nothing even close to an apology. Initially my intention was just to give feedback, but after their complete lack of remorse, I want my money back. I have ordered 10 inch Unicorn cake. It was so much bigger than usual 10 inch. Ferrero flavor chocolate cake was amazingly great. Definetely will order again for next party
