If youre looking for a quiet place to chill over the weekend or weekday even, Wox is perfect in every sense, especially for those of you who (like me) are lovers of exotic Oriental food.Im a huge fan of Thai and Vietnamese cuisine and Wox hits all the right spots be it taste, presentation and pricing! Their price point surprised me, since they are perfectly located at the Hyatt Place Jumeirah which is a four star hotel. For a classy place like this, its really an amazing and affordable dining experience and their hospitality is excellent too.
NOT GOOD AT ALL! I came here with my family in search of Asian food, and I ordered a couple of meals, all of which were disappointing, since nothing was tasty . The spring rolls were bland, and they werent hot or fresh. The chicken noodles soup didnt taste good, but the scent was so awful that it made me lose my appetite. Udon noodles were disgusting and tasted like baby food.the texture of the sauce was so thick that I thought it was curry , the stir fiend beef noodle were fine not better from the instant noodles you cook at home , the stir fried seafood had 3 pieces of shrimp and looked so mushy , honestly the only thing that was okay was the rice . Service was good but wouldn’t go there again nor recommend it .
The restaurant is located at the lobby level of the hotel. It’s not a huge place but still has a lovely ambience. They have a open kitchen concept which is great as the aroma’s of the food really enhances the experience of eating there. For starters we had seafood and veg spring rolls, wok fried shrimps in tamarind sauce and tofu satay in black bean sauce and chili sauce. My favorites were the seafood spring rolls and the tofu satay in chilling sauce. The shrimps in tamarind sauce will surely be liked by people who don’t mind their food slightly on the sweeter side. For main course we tried the egg friend rice and chili chicken. Both the dishes were well made. Finally had some delicious coconut ice cream for dessert. Will surely visit again.
We were referred to Wox by friends and we were not disappointed. From the warm welcome to the fresh, abundantly tasty dishes, value for money and good service, Wox is easily a repeatable outing. The menu - in my humble opinion - works like a tapas menu, and so we ordered a selection of small dishes to share. The flavours are alive, and present, and the textures fresh and more-ish.Dessert is the absolute winner here - try everything! For me, the only downside was accessibility for parking - as it’s not clearly marked, we ended up parking quite a walk from the hotel. It is not clear if there is valet parking or not, and when we asked at the reception of the hotel, they seemed unsure.Nevertheless, it was a great evening! In summary:Menu:• variety: 4/5• quality: 4/5Service:• hospitality: 5/5• attentiveness: 5/5Setting:• ambience: 3/5• comfort & accessibility: 3/5• privacy: 3/5• social distancing considerations: 4/5Value for money: 5/5Would we go back?Definitely worth going again.
Average food not the price more take away, we ordered a spring roll with shrimp inside, it was mush of something with mayo. The portions are small and the ambiance is noisy and we were setting in a pedestrian hallway..
Nice ambience. Couteous staff. Chef was happy to customize the Chicken manchurian which was amazing, so was the broth & black pepper meat . Staff were courteous. Special thanks to Ms Irish our server who attended on us . Will visit again
What can possibly go wrong here? Nothing! Every time i have been here it keeps getting better. Small restaurant with open kitchen inside Hyatt . Serves Amazing food. Love the beef cubes. And nasi goreng. Good value for money! Love it! Hidden gem for sure.
