Came here as a spur of the moment decision and so glad I did! Great exhibitions on the first 2 levels (even though the 3rd was closed), really thought provoking and moving. It’s not a huge art centre so can be done in 1.5-2 of hours easily. The space is well laid out, and both interior and exterior design is well thought out. Would highly recommend (also it’s free!).
Serene, beautiful and very impactful. The staff was very kind and helpful. Its sad that it closes so soon though.
Amaazzinggggg gallery!!!!! I was so impressed! Lots of important art, showcasing modern issues in the MENA region, from talented artists. I loved the Palestinian movie. I loved the art that you had to get up close to really see. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the Beatles room comparing each beatle to a middle eastern country, I couldn’t stop laughing at the artists’ remarks. It was really nice. Also some great greenery, and a view of the water. Beautiful location. They also have a really nice museum store with a great selection of items and even a coffee bar. Apparently there’s a library too but it was closed when I went so that’s a shame. However, I’m sure I’ll be coming back soon!
This place is a bit off the beaten path but is a beautiful centre nonetheless. I took the metro and it was an easy enough walk to reach the centre. However there were no signs anywhere so make sure to keep your Google maps on. The centre is open form 10am to 8pm. Its free for all and has great accessibility measures in place. Entry is free for all. There are 10 galleries in total over 3 floors. Theres also a roof terrace with some stunning tree sculpture installations. Currently the 3rd gallery is being renovated so I didnt get to see that one but the others are all unique with a focus on the Arab world. Theres also gardens interspersed between the galleries that house some very interesting plants and trees. The view from the centre overlooks the Creek and its pristine waters. I would highly recommend a visit to the place.
Nice and quiet museum but not much in terms of different art pieces...I feel like the whole place is kind of empty...Overall though it’s a stunning building right by the creek and the library is small but amazing to sit and have a read in. You can’t check out any books but you are welcome to read them inside of the library! Nice quiet place to study and apparently there’s a cafe nearby for snacks and small bites.
Unusual art exhibit for us. Little difficult to understand the concept. But loved the library.
An art lovers must ! Amazing staff amazing property and exbition !! Thank you myriem for your love and guidance !!!
I went on a friday at 7pm without reservation and it closed at 8pmThe staff were very accommodating and still let us look around, all we had to do was register for free. Only one person registers and the rest are his/her guests. The art was mostly videos and displays about modern age technology and social media.maximum time youd need to see everything is 1-2 hours
Nice quit place. The exhibit that they have on now is good for self reflection in these days...
Interesting place. Exhibiting the Age of you exhibits
Its good for art lovers and admirers
Perfect place to spend an serene and quiet evening. ***Must watch sunset*****Wheelchair accessible**
Jameel arts center is located in a very quiet and peaceful side of dubai. Its still new and small but you can easily spend over an hour going through all the history that it offers you. Highly recommend you bring your own headphones as you can scan the QR code and play most sections through your phone.
Great place for relaxing. Art histories for education. The art centre is supporting local and neighbourhood artist. Discover a new experience with the artists in Middle East region.Surrounding atmosphere of the art centre for leisure. Light show on the rooftop.Astonishingly, carpark with AC insides the building. OMG!!
Nice place but not all that much is there yet... Maybe wait a couple of months when some shops and stores start opening
Thanks you Jameel family for this amazing center.
There were some nice installations but overall much smaller than expected
Great art gallery with interesting exhibitions and amazing views of the water
Interesting quiet place, but there are some unwelcoming decisions inside like the location of the restroom!
A gem in Dubai. Super curation, collection and staff. Galleries, courtyards, shop and library, the complete experience.
Awesome place, great art gallery. I enjoyed the arts installation exhibited there..
Nice place! I like the exhibitions.
The arts centre seems to be located in an area that is still being developed as theres quite a fair bit of construction going on when I visited. Its a 15 mins walk from the nearest metro station. It is underrated and does not get enough visitors. Theres a stunning installation by Chiharu Shiota which takes reference from Dubais maritime history.Theres also a nice view of the creek.
Carm and quiet place
Interesting exhibitions. Nice architecture
Nice art installation... the view is great as it is in jadaaf waterfront
Beautiful, quiet, great exhibitions
Such a nice to be there, was peaceful and calm.
Amazing exhibitions and beautiful location for my shooting! Maybe the AC is a bit too cold.. :(
This is literally the most peaceful art centre Ive ever been to in my whole life. When I visited back in 2019 they have just recently opened the place hence not many people knew about it. Its location is nearby Palazzo Versace and is not your usual spot for Dubai outing unless you are into arts or are seeking peace. The views from their roof garden are very calming(Creek) and so are the staff working inside. The exposition at the time of my visit was abstract as well as implementing fractions of our daily life. The combination of abstract / simple was lovely and made it understandable for the not-so-artisty visitors. Mostly Arabic artists works were present ag the time of my visit. Free of charge is the key word for this hidden gem.
Walked out near tocation. It was so serenity.
A refreshingly beautiful arts museum that captures the local art scene very fittingly. I particularly enjoyed their collection of rare and wild plants scattered throughout the museum. The library and cafe are also quite decent, which comes in handy considering that many people visit the museum to work on their private matters - because the entire experience in free! The perimeter of the building is lined with a nice strip bordering the waterfront, which makes for a lovely walk after youve finished visiting the exhibits.
Great initiative for artists and the community.
Loved the place ❤ beautiful art
Wonderful building & garden, had two middle eastern artists on display, free admission
Beatifully curated!
Sculptor park with its theme based music is a very cool place to spend some time as winter arrives.
Amazing set up and ambience!
The only thing that I didn’t ’t like is that the number of art works is few.
New addition to the art scene
A fascinating glimpse of art and culture in dubai. id recommend devoting a lot of time to truly get the most out of this experience.apart from the awe-inspiring depth of art thats present, theyve designed this place as a sanctuary of wonder by the creek.im definitely going to make multiple visits from now on as they keep curating more art pieces.
Best, plateform for Artis to introduce your art.
Very nice building and place. Exhibitions are modest but the overall experience is worth it.
Very nice building and setting on waterfront
Creative yet needs to add more artwork
It has touch of cultural and modern arts. The Arts Center changed their motif every month. Nice place to hangout with smooth and good ambience while over viewing the historical Dubai Creek
Very nice place for visit
Excellent place to visit, view all around is fantastic
A beautiful place that truly shows local art and culture.
GO. THERE.
A very pleasant facility, though not especially extensive. Modern and with some nice exhibits. Garden has nice sculptures and is landscaped. Has good parking and is walkable from Al Jadaf Metro
Really lovely building with nice art. A nice way to spend a quiet afternoon with art. The gift shop has some cute things too.
Fine enough. Its made well, the exhibits are displayed impeccably but in all honesty, they are extremely boring. The content is not engaging enough, just a very fancy art gallery. Also, for a person like myself who commutes mostly by bus and metro, it was difficult to reach the destination as well. Pretty long and confusing walk from the metro station to the arts center.
I was invited to the opening which was impressive. The waterlicht show at night was very dreamy. The building overlooks the canal where you get access to and from the art exhibitions. Spaces are interesting and would recommend art enthusiasts to visit
Beautiful.... Great
A few interesting exhibits at the moment. A pretty garden and a lovely view at night. Look forward to more exhibitions soon.
Hidden on the new Creek Walk by the Versace Hotel,a beautiful architectural production. Access is difficult from Business Bay Bridge yet worth the visit to discover this new corner of a Dubai neighborhood. I am not fond of installations preferred more regional art.
The concept of an arts center thats open to the community brings a breath of fresh air to the area. The building is gorgeous, the lectures seem interesting and the place has a lot of potential to become a hotspot for like minded people. The collection itself wasnt my cup of tea but will definitely check out new exhibits since the art center itself is a great place. The atmosphere in the garden is very welcoming.
Loved it. Cool space, interesting exhibits, lovely staff. Could do with more exhibits I suppose. And maybe some more interactive exhibits especially for younger patrons
I love the aera it is so peacefull ! And love the architecture and design of the building
I adore this place!! I LL visit them everyday till I read all books they have at their cost library.. work space for free!
While it is difficult to locate (even in taxi with gps) in one these new Dubai neighbohoods, the Jameel Center is so much worth it for amateurs of contemporary visual arts. Eclectic and risk-taking (aesthetically speaking) exhibitions appear to be the guiding vision of the curators. Great job!
Great architecture and gardens. Some exhibitions are for me very interesting, some not. Which is quite normal :-)
Amazing experience. Located near Al Jadaff water front.
Lovely exhibits! Will take a few hours if you want to properly take time to look at everything. Easily accessible, about 15 mins walk from Jadaf metro. Lovely staff, super friendly and helpful. Nice library, would love to just spend some hours there.
Great place. Great exhibitions too. Wish they have more like this around Dubai.
Awesome place
Not too far from the center of city. Good amount of parking. Easy to find.
We were here on a weekday and the neighbourhood looked like a ghost town. What a pity because the arts centre has some really noteworthy exhibits, an excellent library, and beautiful mini courtyard gardens.
Chic building for excellent displays of local contemporary art and books, plus a good shop and coffee.
Small but well curated collection with an interesting museum shop.Reserve some time to walk around the museum as it has a beautiful and original landscape design.
One of my favorite places in Dubai. Go for the art, get seduced by the library and in the cooler months, camp out in the sculpture park
Beautiful art exhibition..and its for free..thanks jameel
Good place to visit arts, but very new. Needs time to catch up as Arts Center.
A jewel in the crown! From the welcoming staff at reception through to a truly informative historical review of crude oil (Crude exhhibition) and its impact in the region to the outside areas, a most pleasant and tranquil experience. Just recently opened and a short walk from Al Jadaf metro. A must!
Peace and calm atmosphere. Waterfront view of creek. Soothing winds which could heal your stress.
Latest addition in dubais map. ideal place for art lovers , waterfront. parking available
What a great find. No info advertising this place. Great exhibitions
