Olive Root is an excellent add on to my neighborhood eateries. Though the restaurant is located in an edgy corner, the ambiance was exceptional. The eatery is divided into two section- one for Rajasthani Thali and other for ala carte.I was welcomed by a blue lagoon drink which was visually enticing. I loved their Rajasthani biriyani and chicken momos very much. If you are planning to visit olive root, dont forget to try their moong dal halwa- God it was amazinggggg!!! The olive root restaurant filled my heart and mind with utmost gratification..Follow my Instagram @rukkusumayya for more food updates
Indian food is by far my favorite food, not because I’m an Indian, but because of it’s versatility. Every region has their own speciality .... like Rajisthani cuisine was influenced by both the war-like lifestyles of its inhabitants & the availability of ingredients in this arid region. Food that could last for several days & could be eaten without heating was preferred. It is also known for its snacks like Bujiya or kachori to name a few.Coming back to my visit to Olive Roots in Al Nahda...... . they have got two sections inside the restaurant .... one which serves the traditional Rajisthani Thali & the other section is for ala carte menu, where they serve the Non veg items too. The seatings are quite sufficient for a small gathering or some party too. They also serve special breakfast ....You should definitely try that..... it costs just AED 10.I went there to try their Rajasthani Thali, which consists of almost 20 to 25 items. The servers wore their traditional Rajisthani dress which looks very interesting & they will make you feel like a VIP guest by their hospitality. The items served were as below,To start with Special Rajasthani Daal Baati & Churma.... I loved it & asked them to serve me again. Then they serve us Dahi vada, Muthiya & Batata vada..... everything was fresh & hot ... which enhances its flavors even more. Then comes the Rajasthani dal & Kadhi..... along with Jodhpur gatta, Aloo lasuniya, Palak chatpata & Paneer kadai ...,Their traditional Butter milk was also served. To accomplish the curries ... choices were Phulka, Puri & Puran poli.... I literally have all of them. How can a Rajisthani Thali be completed without their famous Khichdi... served with loads of ghee on it ... yummmmFor the desserts there was Kheer & moong daal halwa ...I also ordered for lemon mint drink ...it was the best lemon mint I had ... with more of mint & less sugar .. perfect lemon.& can you believe.... all these were priced at AED 30... it’s really way more worth it.Thanks a lot Hyperlink media & team Olive Roots for hosting us. It was really our pleasure & we can’t wait to visit it again.
Yesterday was our first experience in this restaurant.Restaurant is big, beautiful and fancy but no proper customer service. Had to wait long just to give orders.Seems like waiters running here and there with out knowing what to do.We ordered for Shawarma, Chicken Tandoori, Kadai Chicken, Butter nan, Garlic nan and Tandoori Roti.Shawarma was brought with garlic paste(I thought it was potato paste, Not good)Chicken Tandoori didnt have any flavours in it, just the taste of smoke as per my opinion.Kadai Chicken nan and roti was ok.We also ordered for Blue Lagoon which was a mix of soda, sprite, blue colour and cut of orange.
Nahda Dubai has been my home for 8 years after I got shifted from Deira which was my first home for 26 years. As you know Nahda is a residential area and has got lots of restaurants to serve your needs. Now Olive root is one among them, they have got two sections inside the restaurant to serve for Thali lovers and other area for ala carte menu (Non veg items). They have got ample number of seatings to cater your needs for a party or gathering. You should definitely try their breakfast menu which is AED 10 and below. (Search the pictures below to see what they offer.I went there to try their Rajasthani Thali, as you know it comes with 20 to 25 items. The servers wore their traditional dress and they took some time to serve everything on the plate. The items served were as below,Special Rajasthani dal, Bati and ChurmaFor Farsan it had Dahi vada, Muthiya and Batata vada. In Dal section they had Rajasthani dal and Kadi. Green salad, Butter milk and chutney was from the salad section. In Vegetables section there were, Jodhpur gatta , Aloo lasuniya, Palak chatpata and Paneer kadaiUnlimited roti’s and choices were Phulka, Puri and Puran poliAlso you could have the above with their Rice servings which had Pulav and Khichdi (I asked them for more of khichdi)And all these were priced at AED 30, what else do you want. Its located at Al Jabri Building, Behind Sami Supermarket Opp Sahara Center, Nahda 1 – Dubai
Went here as part of as part of birthday celebrations. I did like the ambience but to be true it was not the best place for a birthday party as there is lot of tables n less of space. the overall food quality was ok. The Thali which was said was veg with some chicken even though the quantity of food was not sufficient but some of the items so fulfilling. Overall I am not happy with the service because they could not serve the people in time and the service was not managed properly, a lot of chaos was seen. The curries especially the Dal Makhani was like an overdo of butter The veg curries delicious especially the sabji. Sheera was one of the best I had so far thanks to that. Overall I would rate food as 3.5 out of 5 Ambience as four out of five services 2.5 out of 5
Good them and brilliant menu. They have a choice of Indian,Lebanese and Italian cuisines. The food was so nice and delicious. All those paratha/naan varieties, the mix grill, pasta, mutton curry and especially the melting mutton kebab were all good. The fresh juices and mojitos were also good.We have been here on more than one occassions, though late into the night and there were not much of filled tables and still the staff were finding it difficuilt to manage.Apart from this the staff were good and welcoming. The hand wash area also needs to be maintained neat.
Excellent food and ambience..helpful staff..value for money..the taste and standard of food is really controlled & rich. It is located very near to Dubai sharjah border..right after the fencing opposite to rear dubai side entrance of Sahara mall..ample parking is available at the main road very near to this spot .
Great atmosphere. Staff is very professional and friendly.Delicious foodRecommended👌
Delicious taste and authentic dishes. Good ambience, good place for office and birthday parties. Staff is friendly and quick with smiling face. Will visit soon.
Average ambience.. not so friendly staff.. long waitin time after order.. average food !
Very good Interior a d ambience. Speciqlly the display of all dishes recipe. We loved butter chicken and want to try grilled items (Famous) in next visit.
Its a nice place to have family get together and office party too. They serve variety of different food. They even have Rajasthani Thali with too many items in it. I visited the place last week and had lots of fun with my family and friends. Its cool and calm place too. Newly married couples or engaged ones can also visit this place for a nice date.
Very tasty and cheap. I highly recommend this Indian restaurant
Nice restaurant having separate vegetarian & non-vegetarian sections. Rajasthani Thali is excellent. Non-veg section is equally good with north Indian & Arabic food.
The best mutton biriyani I have ever had in UAE... Best... thanks to the chef Atul... their customer service is very good, interior is nice, sitting arrangements are good. I had to go for their mutton biriyani twice in last week right after discovering this hidden place. This place is underrated... would never know of them if not had my entertainer offer showed it... would surely go again n again for their mutton biriyani...
Other half of Rajasthani thali
Their momos are amazing..... They have steamed as well as masala momos
One of the best services Ive seen in this restaurant, Rajasthani flavoured dishes, is a better choice for those who love the North Indian food, but its somewhat expensive, I love their hospitality, the way they serve. Their Thali is delicious. In Thali everything is tasty.
Tried out this place for the first time.Different seating areas for vegetarians and non vegetarians. We had Rajasthani thali. Served approx 15 vegetarian items, including desserts and dal bati. Also accompanied with masala chaach. The khichdi with ghee is not to be missed. They change thali menus on a daily basis. Dal bati can be improved in the thali. Was not really how we Rajasthanis like it to be.We also ordered Chicken biryani and mutton keema. The biryani was average. Nothing very special. Had one whole egg and three small chicken pieces. The keema had a distinct coal flavor to it. Seemed a bit sweet though.Mr Rai was our host for the day. Very friendly and courteous staff.
As i called Rajasthan al malaki. They told me olive root is their sister branch..But truly saying its not upto the mark.Food is not that yumm as Sharjah branch. Along with the hosting. Manuhar.. Pure rajasthani touch was missing. They have only 1 high chair for kids.Need some more improvement. In terms of tasteThanks
They have two sections, one Rajasthani thali and one non veg. Thali includes Dahi Vada, kachroi, Dhokla, samosa, masala chaach, and lot of authentic Rajasthani veg curries and Rotis and mini poories followed by awesome khichdi and rice. Few dishes are fixed and few vary basis on the days of week. But overall good food, good taste, good ambience, and nice staff. Reasonable prices and they have offers also on few specific days. 20aed per thali. I will give it 5 star.
A hidden Jewel hidden in midst of apartments in Al Nahda 1, Dubai. Authentic Rajasthani vegetarian Thali ... and the hospitality of Jaswant and Dharampal makes you feel more than welcome. Kudos to Chef for the delicious fare. Great job guys!!!
Food was good taste flavour full. Drinks are not so good. Service completely bad.
I had heard about Olive root with Rajasthani Veg cuisine, however after trying in I was extremely happy and contented with Veg Thali which is far better than Non veg option. The thali started with Dhai Vada, kachroi, Dhokla, loy of variety of veg curries and Rotis. Heart contented as me and my wife enjoyed every moment of Rajasthani Veg Thali. I rate this restaurant Top 5 as ambience, service and Veg thali all were best.
Went for iftar in Ramadan .. The place , ambience everything was good .Their iftar menu was quite affordable .Their Dinner dishes especially the Qorma and their kebabs was absolutely delicious .The owner and the staff were quite friendly .Had the amazing ,affordable with unlimited serving of food of #rajisthanithali only at @oliverootdxb . Their menu keeps on changing everyday. I had the amazing vegetarian thali with great choices of selection.Enjoy the delicious breakfast under 10 Dhs only at @oliverootdxb . Choices of Parathas and omelettes with Karak tea ,coffee and choices of fresh juices . I had Gobi (cauliflower) paratha with cheese omelette with karak chai presented in beautiful ceramic cup . Cheese omelette was a winner for me!From fresh juices I had Mango Caribbean. Mango and mint was a nice refreshing summer combination for sure.
It is nice place for multicusine dine out. Rajasthani thali is excellent.
Olive root is economical food restaurant with multi cuisine. Food offers with Grilled and charcoal, Indian mughlai menue from Delhi Nawab, Rajasthani Thali and Chinese foods. The best place to the family who resides in Dubai and Sharjah Al Nahda. (instagram : naikmiran)
Nice place for Rajasthani thali. They have veg and non veg sections separately. mostly indian themed.
Its a hidden gem in Al Nahda area, very nearby Sahara Center mall in Dubai. I had one of the best Rajasthani Thalis ever here. The staff is friendly, services are prompt, variety of food available in the thali is great...they even change the meetha item choice on daily basis, the snacks in starters keep on changing..so if ypu want to have thali everyday, they wouldnt bore you down with limited choicw of options...Enjoy a hearty meal here. Its a kid feiendly place, the staff is congenial too..A 5/5 from my end.Do visit here. And I would ask the management of this page to have an instagram or facebook account too so that people know about you more!
One of economical and best Rajasthani cuisine in Al Nahda, Dubai, Near Sahara centre. Service was excellent so as ambience.
Olive Root Delhi takes multi cuisine treat to the NEXT...chicken bihari, changezi chicken, Rajasthani Thali, italian delicacy add Arabic to the list
Good ambience and service.Went there to have momos and they were good.
A vegetarians delights.Rajasthani Paradise.Rajasthani Thali😋Very nice, clean place. Yummy, good, tasty pure veg and authentic Rajasthani preparations. I would recommend for India food lovers. And I must say Staff is so nice, humble and polite, they also make sure to feed you as much as you can eat.Excellent taste with variety. They also have another section for Muglai, awadhi, for non vegetarians. 🙂AL nahda, Dubai and easily approachable from sharjah.Must visit place.5 stars from my side👍🏻
We organised a Birthay Party over there. Excellent Food, Nice Ambience and Fantastic Arrangement by Mr. Rahil the restaurant Manager, the guests really enjoyed the yummy food...Thanks Rahil for the good work.
I would have given lesser rating if the option was available..!Since it was New Years day the 1-Jan-2019, we thought of exploring a New Restaurant for lunch called Olive Root Restaurant @al Nahda Dubai. This restaurant has 2 entrance, one for Pure Veg (Rajasthani Thali) & the other was Non Veg. We decided to explore their Rajasthani Thali. So we get in and to see the table and chair was not arranged as per the expectation and was dirty. We were like lets not complain since its New day of the year and grab a table. The waiter keeps the Thali empty plates on the table. In the mean while i thought of washing my hands and went to use the washroom and to my surprise it was so dirty and stinking. Public washroom in Dubai were better than this restaurant. SO i get back to my seat and wait for the food to be served. I literally waited for 15-20 mins for the food to be served. They started with Dahi wada which i didnt have because i knew that there would be Soda Powder mixed in that so that our stomach would be full even before we start eating main course food. So i wait for other dishes to be served. After another 5-10 Mins the Single waiter over there is serving the dish which was very cold and not good to taste. there is this second waiter who comes with Roti to serve. I asked him as to y the service is too slow for which he replied politely that another staff has called in sick. Many other customers were also complaining about the service and food which i could here. So i start eating but trust me the moment i has 2nd Roti my tummy started grumbling and had slight pain. I had some other dishes but was not good too. By this we decided not to eat any more because the taste was not at all good. Forgot to mentioned (NO OFFENCE) - Their waiters had body odour every time they came to serve food. This made me even more disgusting to eat food over there. We called for cheque paid the bill and left from there. Entire day we had stomach upset to to the food we had.I will never recommend this restaurant. Please Guys, Go there at your own risk as or rather stay away from this restaurant as you might face health issues.
One of The best Indian restaurant in Dubai really it was very nice and super serving ..I advise all local Emiraty people to visit the restaurant
Very good restaurant.. rajasthan thali is good..
Its a small place divided into 2 spaces, one for Rajasthani thali (only veg) and Non Veg space. We had Rajasthani thali which is very tasty and Pocket friendly.
They charged money from talabat didn’t follow directions on reaching me and never let me know they cancelled the order would love to voice this on talabat but they won’t let me
For more detailed reviews please visit my Insta Page @ sykobloggerWe decided to try out some Thali and since this was closest to being in dubai, we stepped in.This place has 2 entrances which is great (one for pure veg and one mix). This is a great idea. The staff is friendly, but unfortunately the service is kind of slow and breaks the momentum of enjoying food. The food served was good in taste, but the serving proportions by each staff was less and indicated they do not intend on serving more ( which honestly is a big let down)Would be coming back to try their shawrma as well.
The worst butter naan i have ever had in my life. Butter naan was like rubber sheet.
There Rajasthani thali is superb 👌enjoyed each and every dish from thali good ambience and staff also v good👍
Visited Olive Root Restuarant tonight with friends.Excellent ambience, friendly service, great menu choices and really delicious food at affordable cost. Thanks Shaheen Bhai.. Will be back soon
Good food and Good ambiance. One of the best in Al Nahda region
Good food, Very good ambience and excellent service.
This is one of the best place to have our weekend dinner. With a mixture of mouth watering mughlai, chinese, Rajasthani veg thali and one of the best momos of the town.Moong dal halwa reminds me of my mom. It is best in the town. Chicken changezi is awesome. Gr8 food with best services. I wont be doing justice if I miss the interior. It is very cosy and beautiful. Those who havent should definitely give it a try.
Great food and even better service! Highly recommended
Go strictly for Rajasthani food. Although the food quality has gone down a tiny bit. Still worth the experience.
Authentic mughlaie food in town. Ambience beutiful, best to bring family, enjoy Rajesthani thali so many varieties.
Nice taste, nice service
Nice thaali experience. Dal baati was best in town.
Absolutely great buffet... value for money....
Might be a very good restaurant, I myself have been there, ordered from them before, but a worst delivery service I’ve experienced ever. On a weekday it took them 1hr 45 mins to deliver on a distance of 4kms, just to add on this is not the first occasion.
Nice ambience and friendly Staff.. Thali was good
Good place for Mediterranean, Awadhi Indian and aurthentic Rajasthani food.
