The workshop fixed my car at an affordable rate much better than the dealership. The owner is very friendly and was able to fix the car quickly. Would recommend.
Good Service ๐
The best place ever to service your car... I have a 10 year old car which rides like 3
Good knowledgeable people . But only talk to the owner as the mechanics try to ripp you off
Great service and the owner is a great guy that will help you where ever he can.
Helpful staff
In a nutshell, I would NEVER EVER go back to this place and I strongly advise others to do the same. On the surface, the owner seems friendly and knowledgable, but beware. He and his mechanics regularly mis-diagnose problems, do very poor quality work, and suck money from your wallet for things that do not need to be done. He has a quick tongue and will be fast to point out problems in your car that will require a lot of parts and labor costs. Here are a few of the specific problems I had:- BATTERY REPLACEMENT: Pretty hard to mess up, right? Wrong. Mechanic neglected to put the anchor bolt back in the base. When I had to suddenly brake on Sheikh Zayed road the next day, I heard something fall out from under my hood and out the back of my car! Looked under, saw the missing bolt. Still donโt know what flew out from behind the car.- ELECTRICIAN: The โelectricianโ in the shop tested my car alternator by connecting and disconnecting the power leads to the battery causing the electrical components in the car to flicker on and off. I thought to myself โthat doesnโt look like a good idea, but he probably knows whats bestโ. When I asked about it, the owner said that he shouldnโt have been doing that as it could fry the electronic control unit (MANY thousands of dirhams to replace). Thank goodness it didnโt break (yet). Not to mention that the โelectriciansโ method ended up in a mis-diagnosis. He said that the alternator was probably bad, but it was fine.- MANIFOLD: Brought the car in for an intermittent hissing sound from under the engine. Manager told me that it was due to lots of carbon and oil buildup in the manifold. Seemed reasonable to me. By his account, he โopened it, cleaned it out, and put it back for meโ which was supposed to save me the cost of replacing it. He charged me 400 in labor from what I can recall. Problem wasnโt fixed, but it didnโt bother me that much. About 1 year later (yesterday), I finally decided to take my car to another mechanic and it turns out that London Tyres had drilled extra screws into my manifold for some reason! Still donโt know why, but you can see the picture below. Those screws definitely donโt belong there.- HEAD GASKET/MANIFOLD: The last time I was there, he said that the head gasket needed replacing for AED 3000+. Zero proper diagnostics were done to arrive at this conclusion. At this point, I thought to myself, better get a second opinion. Thank god i did. Turned out to be an issue with the manifold (see note above). These are just a few of the frustrating stories that I have. A few more consist of the manager not being responsive to calls or texts while he has your car, and scheduling appointments to meet at the shop and simply not being there when you show up (literally every single time).By my tally, this shop has scammed me of:- Cleaning (aka destroying) intake manifold: AED 400 labor- Having to replace manifold due to damage (different shop): AED 1550 parts + AED 600 Labor- Replacing oil separator (that didnโt need replacing and didnโt solve the problem): AED 1250- Improperly (re)installing parts under the hood that put both my and other driversโ lives at risk on Sheikh Zayed: PricelessP.S. One of the people who gave this place a 5-star rating is a family member of the owner, so not a real review.
