No wonder this place was empty at lunch time. If you are after Italian food, stay away! We ordered 2 pasta dishes, starter and a pizza and it was a real disaster (pizza hut is probably better). Nothing was fresh at that place and they use the cheapest ingredients.

We came back to Azzurro after longtime and we felt very good as usual . The atmosphere is familiar and nice, with the best view we can have. Staff is good and friendly so the service is fantastic. The food is fresh and the menu is really good with Italian flavors and taste. It’s a good sensation to sit in this restaurant and feel like home, so we suggest to have a visit for have a good experience with Italian food.

From the minute we arrived our server, Jasmine, looked after us and was very attentive. The food arrived quite quickly and was superb. Jasmine ensures our drinks were topped up regularly and then gave us a complimentary dessert to share . Great atmosphere, views and superb food and service. The manager also checked in a couple of times to ensure we were happy

I ended my previous review (almost 5 years ago) by stating I would never return. Im now pleased to be able to rescind that statement. Given that gluten free food is now a requirement of any visit I had messaged the restaurant in advance to be advised that they are able to cater for such needs. We therefore turned up one evening and were shown to an outside table (it was delightfully warm with a pleasant breeze blowing). Having checked gluten-free availability we were advised that risotto is gluten free and that pasta can also be prepared but it would take approximately half an hour. No problem with that so ordered drinks and observed the activities on the canal while we chatted away. A bread basket was brought but gluten free bread wasnt available - pity. The food arrived which was delicious and well worth the wait. Waiters and waitresses constantly checked on us while we were waiting, and also as we were eating, so cannot fault them - it made for a really pleasant evening.

Just amazing! The food is so delicious, the ambience/decor is great, the view of the grand mosque is breath taking during day or night. The manageress is passionate about customer service and she treats all patrons like family. Highly recommend!

Nice restaurant but staff not attentive to customers. Many staff on duty, the restaurant was not busy at the time we were there but we have to wait for the staff too long to look at our table / to assist us.

Good Italian restaurant located in the souq!! Outside terrace open with Seaview!! Best plates are pasta which are very big dishes and pizza!! I also advice to have the famous italians antipasto and mozzarella!! The staff is super friendly and always welcoming with a nice smile

How does a restaurant define itself to be Italian and lack a Monday dinner of mozzarella burrata ricotta and prosecco? Furthermore, by ordering wine by the glass, the bottle was not even shown. Furthermore, no waiter is Italian. Grammatical errors in the menu and chipped dishes. With all due respect this restaurant has no future.

Excellent service, and beautiful atmosphere. The menu felt slightly limited but the ingredients were without exception fresh and prime quality. Great experience overall, will happily go back.

We had very friendly and attentive service, as we were the only customers in the restaurant at noon on a Saturday. The fresh juices and cocktails were delicious, as was the complementary basket of bread. We enjoyed our two entrees, using an Entertainer voucher to get one calzone and one stuffed chicken dish. Without or without the Entertainer, Azzurro is one of the more affordable sit-down dining options in Souk Qaryat Al Beri, and we would consider returning to try more of the pizza and pasta dishes.

Descent restaurant for Italian food but never consistent. Keep on changing chefs which doesnt allow you to become loyal. Need a real guidance and leadership from its owners.

Simple, unpretentious place with good food, friendly staff, excellent wine and a beautiful view by the water. Lowering the music volume would be my only suggestion.
