Boomah cafe provided a lovely experience. The cafe itself is teeny tiny, with only 4 tables and currently allowing maximum of 14 people to be in the venue due to current covid restrictions. We ordered a coffee and an iced tea, both of which were yummy but their serving size was shocking, especially for the iced tea. The owl encounter was the hero of this visit, of course. They were gentle and enjoyed being pet. One of their caretakers, Islam, freely shared knowledge and happily talked about them the whole time.

Boomah Cafe is a great spot for a coffee, tea or cold drink with a friend or two. A small cafe, spotlessly clean, and smartly decorated. Of course, the highlight is the owls! You can enter their space, learn about each one, and even pet them gently. The staff here are wonderful, friendly and inviting. The owl handler too was informative and patient, taking us one by one to each owl. He answered all our questions about each one, and you can see how he truly cares for these magnificent birds. You should really stop in here for a break, it is like its own oasis from rest of the city - nice music, and fascinating creatures to contemplate with a delicious drink. Only cookies available for snacking, so eat something beforehand. We loved it!

This is an amazing place. My 3 year old daughter was so astonished and her face was amazing. Is a short experience. 15 to 25 minutes only, take the picture learn a bit, have a wonderful coffee and thats it. But really unforgettable 15 minutes.

This was SUCH a fun experience! The owls are super friendly and the guide helps explain and assist you in every way possible, had great time. Had coffee at their cafe while we waited for our turn in the owl room and it was fast and tasty ☕️

Great concept in this little cozy Cafe, where you can enjoy a coffee menu and a variety of cold beverages. Most importantly, the view of the owls and you can even purchase an entry for you and your kids to get face to face with these interesting birds.

Lovely place to interact with the owls, and learn about them. You can enjoy a coffee before or after the owl interaction. Definitely will come back!

I didnt drink coffee there, but it was first time I have seen owls. Very beautiful and majestic birds. What I didnt like is conditions they keep birds in. This are night birds so during the day they must sleep, so as I dont think owners let them fly enough.

I love it there...the kuya in the owl’s room is very accomodating and very informative. The personality of each owl is so diversed, you’d be impressed how the kuya knows each one of them so well...it is quite an experience for an animal lover like myself...🥰🥰🥰 oooh not to forget, the coffee tastes great as well...😍 would definitely come back in the future.

Boomah, The Owl Cafe was a wonderful experience that I was able to share with my wife and son during a recent outing. Abu Dhabi has its fair share of coffeehouses and trying to be unique is a tall order. When I read that this cafe had finally opened, I knew we needed to track it down. Hidden behind the Al Seef Shopping Mall and part of the Al Seef Resort complex. However, the cafe is not for early birds as it doesnt open until 2:00 PM. It does stay open unitl 10 pm for all of you night owls! The Owl Cafe brings to Abu Dhabi an experience similar to the animal cafes in Japan.The cafe itself is tiny, with 5 tables and seating for probably 15 people. They have a nice menu with numerous coffee or tea related drinks and a nice selection of mocktails to choose from. My Cortado was very good, my son had his first Spanish Latte which he enjoyed. My wife had the Boomah Mocktail which is a blending of watermelon, apple juice, ginger, and mint. That too was delicious. Service was prompt and of course the theme of the cafe is owls! That is the draw and we were only separated from the 9 or so owls by a large glass window. From our seats we could watch them on their perches primping and preening themselves.We had the option to just sit and watch or pay a nominal fee to go into the owl room and fully immerse ourselves with them. Wany some advice? Pay the money! We were probably in the room for for over 20 minutes learning about the various species of owls they have on the roosts, but the best part was learning how to approach them and being able to gently pet them. All but one was incredibly docile. Each owl had its own unique personality and the smile on my sons face was so worth it. I know I had the same smile! This was a real experience that will stay with us forever. I strongly suggest that you add Boomah, The Owl Cafe to your Abu Dhabi Bucket List... Youll have a hoot of a time! Owl bet you love it!

I went there with my family and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and the drinks were very good. Then we went to the owl section and the experience was unforgettable. We loved it. It’s a place that we will definitely visit again.

Boomah cafe is one of the best cafes ever! Its so entertaining! The owls are so nice and children get to enjoy the time we spend there , and their rose cafe is so amazing ! Ive been there a lot and I advice everyone to go there and take pictures with the owls and enjoy the coffee 😌

Its a tiny cafe with a separate small room where 9 owls are kept. You can pay 70dhs per person and enter the owl room,pet them, take them on hand. The keepers also tell you informations about the owls. Coffee is also good.Just a little concern is the room for the owls. Its very tiny and by asking I came to know they keep them there at night, only without the chains. I feel its very small space for 9 birds to be there captive. I hope they are letting them free more often.

Boomah is a lovely place to visit especially if you are fond of birds and animals! I went there a couple of days ago with a friend and was terrified of petting the owls, but Bilal (the owl trainer) helped me overcome my fear and encouraged me to hold an owl of my choice. I chose to hold Venus who was such a beautiful creature!!You should definitely go here to enjoy a drink and experience petting/holding the precious owls!

This is a must see place in Abu Dhabi! Fun for the whole family and you learn alot. A bonus was that you can pet almost all of the owls and even get to hold them.

Okay okay yall here me out go here please you will not regret it so yes u can pet the owls and hold them and take cute pictures oh and the owls all have names like Mars,shaikha,saif and more (I forgot lol) anyways while your waiting for your turn you can order some drinks that are also good oh and Im pretty sure depending on the time u come you will have to wait less :) this is a great place for kids I brought my whole family my siblings definitely had fun and parents also were happy the place around the cafe is also pretty!

First of all, I’ve heard the owls in the cafe are rescues as some of them are not able to survive on their own. If this is the case, and the owners have chosen to care for them, then I applaud the efforts. However, this is the same environment I’ve seen in other owl cafes in Japan. Before we even ordered coffee we witnessed a woman patting an owls head and taking photos of them inches from their face. The owl clearly didn’t like being ‘patted’ on the head and tried to fly off. Of course, like most owl cafes, the owls are chained to the perch with little room to move around. The owl collapsed on itself and the handler and customer just stood by watching.If the story about them being rescues is true, then again I’m happy they are being cared for. But there has to be an alternative. I would pay so much more to have an experience observing an owl which was not made to be awake during the day or chained to a perch. They don’t need to be touched. If someone really wants to drink coffee with owls, open the cafe at night and don’t let people touch them.

A really nice and small cafe with a unique experience. You can enjoy your coffee or tea with views of the owls or go in for a hands on experience with them. Islam the trainer told me all about each owl and was very accommodating, showing how to pat and hold each one. A great experience. Thank you Islam.

Very interesting concept, like why owls?! But it looks nice and owls seems healthy as they all looking gorgeous and good. HOWEVER, as to the café part I wasnt happy at all. They only have beverages, hot and cold and nothing to eat except of acai which is super overpriced for its presentation and taste. I had much better acai in many places and cheaper. Coffee served only with full fat cow milk and no other options. 5 stars for owls and 2 stars to cafe. This is why only average 3 stars.

Unique place, a bit small. the owls are beautiful and look very healthy. but on a bit expensive side, you need to pay 70 or 75 dirhams per head and your not allowed to ask the staff to take a picture which I can understand but if youre alone thats sad so youll have to bring someone with you and pay extra just for the pictures 😔

The idea itself is worth 5 stars. A verity of species. They are almost all tame. You are allowed to interact with owls directly. Very well kept and organized. Really worth it.

Ethics wise, its terrible business venture. I witnessed little children poking and prodding at the owls, acting as if they were attractions rather than animals with a conscience. Furthermore, there were owls that looked to have been snowy owls, and air conditioning cannot possibly emulate their natural habitat

Excellent concept of close encounter with owls. The trainer was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The owls were very friendly and did not mind us touching them and carrying them. The place was very small. The AC was very high, probably to give owls the environment they like. Overall an amazing experience.

2 stars for the concept of the cafe , 75 dhs for adults and 50 dhs for kids to see 5 or 6 owls in a tiny room this is over rated, you coukd pay less to enter an entire zoo. Didnt like it at all.

The owls are gorgeous!!! Couldn’t stop looking at them!!...BUT.... 75 aed per person just to see the owl is expensive. We can see the owl from the cafe through the glass as well. It was disappointing to go all the way there and to know that it was expensive to enter that cabin.The cafe, it’s just for the name sake. Coffee was okay!! Not much selection for snack or beverage.

This place Wil definitely give you the best experience of your life. The staff is very friendly and will make sure that youre guided and comfortable touching the owls, holding them and learning more about them. The collection and diversity of owls that they have is mind blowing. You might find yourself attached to one them just like we did. It was amazing!

Not as expected, too small and high cost for just taking a picture with the owl. The menu is very poor, some regular hot/cold drinks nothing more.

Tiny cafe that only does coffee with only limited seating. I didnt stay as you had to pay 75aed to see the owls. I think its cheaper to go to the Emirates zoo where the animals will be in a larger environment and you can have coffee or food.

The Café has a great environment and the staff are welcoming. I highly recommend you to try the açaí and flat white coffee 😍 and the new strawberry 🍓 cold drink

Loved the idea, although it is small area but literally full of calm and quiet. Im very interested in the taste of the coffee that this cafe is serving 😋 you will be sitting in a small room and enjoy watching the beautiful owls in the other room separating by a clear glass partition 🦉😍
